I said the same thing last night. I have seen #12 hit those floaters time and time again! Also #0 is usually better from the free throw line. You can give some of those misses to the Kountze defense and fatigue from the pace of that game. Couldn’t ask for a better tournament matchup than that!

TDS for four more years….. I watched a Youtube reaction yesterday that popped up on my feed. I am not even sure who it showed but reacting to the Trump win a guy literally asked how people could vote for a guy that puts out mean messages. Here we go with mean tweets again! 🤣 It worked so well before. It might not occur to the people about to fall off of the left side of the flat Earth but Trump is on his last term. He can’t run again. Impeachments, fake accusations of misogyny and white supremacy, complaints about tweets, insurrection accusations, my body-my choice, choosing your pronouns, men beating up women in sports, nonsensical and corrupt prosecutions and so on don’t matter any more. Trump slapped all of those deranged attempts at gaslighting off and had an election win by gaining in every demographic. So let’s lift a 🍺 as a toast to our Democrat brothers and sisters and hope that they can get back to arguing about real issues like their opinions on the best ways of saving Social Security, defending this nation, slamming the border shut, ending sanctuary states and cities, opening up the oil fields until an actual solution can be found to not using as much fossil fuels, etc.

Brookeland is tough. Cade Morgan is an absolute workhorse!!

He's probably about 6'5 or 6'6 right now. He is a freshman. He really needs a year to develop before he's ready for serious playing time. If he can grow another inch or two and get a little stronger and quicker by next year, that'll be great. Him and our freshman point guard could help a lot next year. I think the PG should be playing more right now. Give it 2 or 3 years. I would say 2 years, but that might be wishful thinking. There's lots of talent in the pipeline at Silsbee. What people are seeing right now won't last or become the new normal for very long. I think the final in the Grand Oaks game was 68 - 56. That's a lot closer than I thought it'd be.

I saw highlights of the class of 2024 when they won the middle school championship in Houston . They had a special chemistry. It has been said over and over by me and others that they would have added at least two more pieces to the championship trophy case were it not for FFA. Kountze is back to winning. Sooner of later Silsbee will get back to winning big also.

Changes had to be made to the tourney after Goodrich dropped. The decision was made to eliminate the two JV teams and make it a 5 varsity team round robin tourney. Each varsity team will play 4 games. This is the schedule moving forward: Today Baytown Christian vs. Colmesneil Hull-Daisetta vs. Colmesneil Friday 10:30am Danbury vs. Baytown Christian 1:30pm Hull-Daisetta vs. Baytown Christian 4:30pm Danbury vs. Hardin 7:30pm Hull-Daisetta vs. Hardin Saturday 9am Hardin vs. Baytown Christian 12pm Hardin vs. Colmesneil 3pm Danbury vs. Colmesneil 6pm Danbury vs. Hull-Daisetta
