I know little/nothing about Woodville, but what they accomplished last year was amazing. Its incredibly sad we can't just all support one another and refrain from taking shots. Too many people here are not here to talk football, all they really want to do is tear someone else down.

These passive aggressive comments toward Woodville are uncalled for. Let's all remember that these are kids and the coaches are doing the best with what they have. There's no need to take shots at the team nor say that they were "mediocre" and "outclassed". That's just nonsense, uncalled for and absurd. Let us pray for whoever the upcoming coach is and that the upcoming year for every team exemplifies character and hard work focusing on how to grow as young men (because that should be the #1 goal). Let's make it a point to uplift and encourage no matter if a team went 0-10 or 13-3!

Bama beat BYU by scoring 75 points on 3s. You can’t count on a record breaking performance again and Duke proved that. Duke also beat Bama by 20. Florida should have lost to TT. Tennessee couldn’t buy a bucket against Houston. Just my tidbit opinions. I think Duke is the total package. What I think is best about them…..don’t get behind and have to foul….who do you foul? (Proctor), but he beats you other ways. You don’t gain any ground because they don’t miss. Flagg is simply the best all around player. Of course Duke could have a bad day and all my post is for naught. I don’t see it happening, but you never know.

After the Sweet 16 game, I was thinking Bama might be peaking at the right time to win it all, especially the way they were shooting the ball. But you are 100 percent correct, Duke put on a clinic defending the perimeter, about as well as I’ve seen. I’ve never loved the way Houston defends, especially the deeper they get. Just seems susceptible to being exposed by elite guards, especially ones with length. But that’s why they play the games I guess.

Exactly the same way I feel. i also didn’t realize how long Duke players are….good gracious. i had gator vs cougar in final with gator having a full belly. after watching Duke my gut tells me Houston may be in trouble. Especially if Duke defends the perimeter then that 3 ball that UH shoots so well may take a percentage drop. but I’m still sticking with Florida either way.

And I’m pointing out that I employ the same logic as most Aggie fans just did.

LP would have to win a coin flip for Area Round or Regional Semi's. We play 12-5A Bi-District. Next realignment may make some changes for a possible district game again though. Doubtful if predistrict is possible since PO's are a distinct possibility.

Been mediocre since football was invented, makes it to a State Championship and everyone wants a new coach. Shocking that he would want to leave such a place.

So the coach you had takes y'all further then any other coach in Woodville history going all the way to Jerry World. But its his fault y'all didn't win because he didn't open up the offense and use different weapons? Yall need someone you can utilize what y'all have? Wow no wonder he left even with the talent coming up. If the fans and community does not back the coaching staff in every way then why would he stay after taking y'all (a team that had only been 2 rounds) to the promise land. To many bleacher coaches that know better then the man and staff who got y'all there. Better hope y'all find a top coach and will put up with the experts in the bleachers or back to the bottom y'all will go.

Last year wasn't bad at all. I don't expect we should totally get away from what we did last year. But some things could be done better and hopefully that's what we'll be working towards this upcoming year

Everyone can't do what Franklin does. Different teams have different constructs. A balanced approach is probably best for Woodville. And it helps to be able to tweak it a little bit depending on the opponents strengths and weaknesses. We have players that can hurt you in different ways and we need a coach who realizes that and knows how to utilize it

One can only hope. Last you would want is some coach that want to run all the time like those Franklin coaches.

Maybe it will be a coach that has the expertise to “make a couple of adjustments” to “shift the momentum of the game”.

Sensing your sarcasm, but there are lots of coaches with pedigree looking for their shot at a team with potential to make a long run. Neece in Anahuac has quite the pedigree, I am certain there are coordinators from championship programs that would jump all over this one. Woodville has an opportunity to go out and hire a guy they might not have had the chance to even talk to 5 years ago, or 5 years from now. Let's just hope they don't screw it up. And let's hope the rumor about the QB leaving isn't true.

I can tell you the basketball kids and people in Buna are going to miss him. Hard working, raised a ton of money for the program, ran leagues in Buna and held the first 2 boys basketball tournaments in Buna since I’ve been here 20 years. He may not be everyone’s cup of tea but he is hard working and the basketball gym is always open for the kids to play.

They’re not here any more. It rises or falls with who the president is NOW. Blame is his tool to deflect and avoid accountability.

Spoke to OC Matt Kuykendall last evening. Like what I heard, don't think I've ever spoke to a high school OC with the his vision. Sounds more like a college OC to me with some of the things he discussed. There is not a single negative so far that I personally can see and I've been around a long time. Your thoughts on his work at BH? The program building is happening quick. Example, there were only 55 kids moving to the freshman team next year before Abseck was hired, now they have 100 committed to play next year and they are already working an off season. New strength and conditioning coach for MS through Varsity. Several stadium and indoor practice facility improvements already done or planned to happen after graduation. The communications between the coaching staff and player parents will be upfront and personal. Not seen around here in almost 20 years. Bigger booster club involvement with player parents, things are moving very quickly, no grass growing under Abseck's feet.

Who could have ever predicted that more tax cuts for the rich, combined with a haphazard tariff plan would lead to economic instability and a duplication of the disaster the last time Trump held the reins? Me. I predicted it.
