That must have been the Lumberton soph. team, because the Lumberton JV was in the Nederland JV tourney. Pretty good Tournament at Nederland for the BC JV as they went 3 and 1. Beat Kelly 4-3, Ned. Sophs 8-7, and LC-M 12-2. Lost to Sulphur 7-5. Hitting was sporadic for the young Cards and too many walks by the pitchers. It is early and they should improve.

I Don't believe WO-S gave up any + yardage in the 1st half at all. Its amazing, they just don't seem to have any letdowns, not overlooking teams or playing down to other teams level, very consistent.

I would believe I would pick some other team besides WO-S for Homecoming. :wink:

I know one of the RB's for Hebert was Maurice McCloney. think he was signed by UT, but I don't think he got there, not sure. Was A heckuva player.

Congrats Lumberton on a good win, don't let it be your defining moment. Was real impressed with #95, the D-end, seems like he was everywhere in the 1st half.

I'm dating myself here, In 1969 or 1970 their was a tall slender guy from old Forest Park I believe his name was Paul Booth hit a line drive at old Stark High Baseball field to Center field. I don't know if you guys remember the tree in center field that had 456' on it but Booth hit this ball just to the base of this tree. If not the longest, it was one of hardest hit balls i've ever seen.
