My point exactly. LM has, year in and year out, one of the most athletic teams in the state. LM thrives on athleticism, Nederland on teamwork and smarts. I was under the impression you were saying that LM depends on one star athlete like some other team we have played before. What's so bad about having kids of equal talent waiting once given the opportunity. I see LM as having many athletes at multiple positions that use teamwork and football smarts. The combination is what wins games. Give me an example of LM not having teamwork or football smarts so I can try to understand the point you are trying to make......

Suggs is a LM former coach. He coached under Weddell in the 90s....

LM is not star athlete oriented. Name one "star athlete" that LM has depended on to carry it. LM has always been talent rich but the talent was spread across the team. There has never been one "star athlete" on any those teams. If one players goes out or down there is one waiting to take his place. The only difference between LM and Nederland is the talent.

Lumberton believes they will beat the Coogs and the Coogs believe they will beat Lumberton. That's just the way it is. The Coogs have been here before (in regards to district losses on their record) and still won state several times......the 2nd season is the only thing that matters.......but I'm sure with Lumberton being a hungry,battle tested ,seasoned playoff veteran..they will get the upper hand......
