  1. Is this from the current bond? Sorry for taking so long to reply to this. I forgot I had posted in this thread. Yes, this is from the current bond. I believe the district did it like this because, even while this bond was on the table, they were already talking about the next bond (tentatively scheduled for 2014) in which they would completely replace the elementary schools. Although the plans weren't final, it was a safe bet, and really still is, that the bond would be approved by the school board and again at the polls, and the schools would be replaced within the ten-year lifespan of the "cheap" roofs. Considering this, it was a viable strategy for our school district until the roofs started leaking. From what I understand, our school board has already contacted the contractors and they are coming out to fix the problem soon. Nederland is in a different position then we were with our bond. Y'all are trying to get everything done in one bond, whereas we were spacing things out, so this particular strategy may not work for you.
  2. This is the first pep rally in our new stadium. Let's make it a good one and show those new coaches just what real spirit is all about.
  3. I am not bashing PNG. I am a PNG fan. I would like for PNG to win state. I have seen them play many, many times and I always pull for them. I like the band, the new stadium, the coaches, and the team. I just don't like anybody to be too cocky because it leads to bashing and hating the team because of a fan that acts that way. Perhaps postings on other sites should not be mentioned on alternate sites. They were meant for the site it was posted on. So whoever added to my negative karma I apologize. YES! THANK YOU!
  4. This is all a little premature. The civil rights investigation has yielded no evidence to support any claims, neither LPD's nor the LaDay's. The LaDay family only had reason to contact the F.B.I. for an investigation, not Al Sharpton, not the "new" black panthers, and most certainly not the Obama administration (I can't think of any reason to contact that administration in regards to this case.). Perhaps those actions will be justified later, but they are certainly not justified by the information at hand at the present time. People are jumping to conclusions with no basis in fact. But, then again, people seem to be doing that a lot these days.
  5. PN-G has cancelled all out-of-district field trips through May 11 as well. All extra-curricular practices are being evaluated on a daily basis.
  6. PN-G - The whole team (including coaches). ;D
  7. Good. Honestly, it's about time. This sort of stuff will be what turns PN-G around in general, not just in the athletics department.
  8. PNG hasnt had a "program" in place for many years. Exactly. PNG had a few good teams, but the talent was not being developed at the lower levels. That is what a good program is built around. Agreed. The middle school programs were in shambles, but it sounds like all that is geared to turn around.
  9. Coach Burnett was a good coach, but it was time for a change. In addition, he was close to retirement and only took the facilties coordinator position to finish out his contract. Besides, why does it matter? Are you a PN-G fan? (serious question, not trying to be sarcastic)
  10. www.pngindians.com Just click on "Message Boards" (near the top of the page) and you should be able to see it under the "Football" topic, specifically the "Don't Forget ! Booster Club Meeting Tonight !" thread.
  11. No idea. Wasn't there. But, pngfan93 is posting live updates (yes, it's still going on) on our forum if you want to check.
  12. I think they are already renovating the baseball and softball fields under the current bond, or, at least, they were before all the revisions were made. Well please dont do anything with the parking at the baseball and softball fields, I really enjoy walking a half of a mile to get to the field. :-\ Oh, don't worry. They're giving you a brand new parking lot right next door to the baseball & softball fields. I know this because I get to march on that parking lot next year. I get to go march on concrete for two hours, 3-5 times a week, from the dead of July through the last legs of October so everyone else can park a little closer to their seats once a week for a couple months. Makes total sense. Don't get me wrong, I think that parking for those sports is important, but there are other areas that could have been paved (i.e. the current parking area for those sports).
  13. The band directors are taking volunteers, and a number of kids have signed up. The school in general is very excited about the idea of a whole new athletics program. The pride has really been rejuvenated. I used to call football season at our school "wartime PN-G" because the whole school was in such high spirits and so focused on the field and Friday night, but I think we're getting started on that a little early this year.

  15. Actually, we need more base instruments. I'm sure the directors would love to have him. Welcome to the true source of spirit at the Reservation, Coop. ;D
  16. Just thought I'd offer something into the record: Look at PN-G's so-called "renovations" under our bond. You know what they were? Roof repairs for every school in the district except the middle schools, and only partial roof repairs at the high school (only the sections set to remain were repaired, understandably). At PNE, the new roof is already leaking, and we've got fresh mildew growing in the instrument room at the high school from last weekend's rain. At Taft, there is a room that has been nicknamed the "waterfall room" because water pours down the windows every time it starts to sprinkle. This comes only weeks after the roof repairs were affected. We're in the same boat over here. These buildings are just being "rehabilitated" every few years, and, as we all know, you can only fix the leaks in the hull so many times before the boat finally sinks.
  17. Just thought I'd let everyone know that the band is taking volunteers for the Purple & White game. I'm sure the Indianettes will do the same.
