2. Sounds like Nederland's got a chance to give a little payback for football season. Good luck to the dogs.
 3. You have to be pretty darn good to get attention from the top defensive coaching staff in the country. Congratulations to this young man. And Roll Tide. 8)
 4.
Don't BOTH ADs from school leaving and school entering have to sign off it wasn't for Athletic purposes?  Some will contest a transfer if rumored to be for athletic purposes.  Just wondering who signed off!
I think that's only if they're in the same UIL district. Good luck to the young man.
 5. That kid was a heck of a player and will be hard for Vidor to replace. Deserving of both awards. Congratulations to him.
 6. 18-9 Cougars, End of 2nd
:o
Unfortunately, it didn't last long.
 7.
I can only imagine the comments that will ensue after I post this...but here goes... They need to completely redo our visitor side.
That's the cost of cutbacks, but I agree. They need to replace the stands. The concessions, bathrooms and so on are fine, though. About the only other thing I can think of is parking. We need a lot more of it. Other than that, I'm happy with Indian Stadium.
 8.
Good lord what has this world come to? Elementary schools?? Really??
Y'all wouldn't understand. Mid-County Madness starts in the cri... no, the womb. ;D
 9.
Football season needs to hurry up....before we sink down to pitting the kindergartners against each other. ;D
Our kindergarteners know our fight song. I bet Nederland's kindergarteners don't know theirs. :P ;D

 11.
Dang, Bama. Are you studying law...if not, you may wanna think about it.  ;)
I've considered it, but have elected not to plan on a law degree at this time. The compliment is appreciated, though.
 12.
I guess that your ignorance has the opportunity to educate others?
No. I tend to let people look up definitions for themselves. 8)
ou sucks
;D
 13.
PM much?
I didn't start the thread. I just responded.
 14.
I guess that I have to spell it out for you.....PRESEASON football occours before Week 0.... :o
By its technical definition, perhaps. By its colloquial definition - in other words, in normal conversation - the term "preseason" refers to the games leading up to district play. For example:
I think we will only get a 2 game preseason with the size of the district increasing.

There are long term or continuing rivalries that may come and go. Maybe like district opponents or a team that you play a few times a decade in preseason and/or in the playoffs.

This just in: Jeff Mathews told me has tentative agreements from Katy, Lake Travis and Lamar University to shut everyone up about who we play in the preseason.
I could go on with numerous other examples, but the one that sticks out the most is this quote, in which you responded to a series of comments including a quote from mytwocents that used the term "preseason" in its colloquial sense.

This must be the first time vidor has started off 3-0 because I have never heard them talk this much noise. The Dogs will have Pryor and Brown back and will pound Vidor.
You might wanna go check your stats before you run your mouth off. Vidor went undefeated in preseason in 2009 and 2008. When was the last time Nederland went undefeated in preseason. I think it was 2007.  ::)  ;D
Oh yea, 08 and 09 was when vidor beat deweyville, evadale, and spurger to enter into district undefeated.
Uhhh no we didn't. Check again Roughrider.
=moron? 8)
You'll notice that in this case, you made no attempt to "correct" that technical misuse of the term. So I'm forced to ask, is your obsession with me so strong that you don't feel the need to point out such mistakes for others? ;) 8)
 15.
Do you? A colloquialism is a word, phrase, or paralanguage that is employed in conversational or informal language but not in formal speech or formal writing.[1] Dictionaries often display colloquial words and phrases with the abbreviation colloq. as an identifier. Colloquialisms are sometimes referred to collectively as "colloquial language".[2] A colloquial name is a word or term used for identification that is employed in conversational or informal language but not in formal speech or formal writing. 8) 8) 8)
Yup.
 16. I see you still don't understand the concept of colloquialism. You know you've gotten to someone when they're even starting threads targeting you. 8)
 17.
Bama, I wouldn't count my bets yet....Nederland strong for the next 2 years and as I always point out, defense is huge obstacle for Png......you know, you don't win when you score 50 points, if you can't keep your opponent from scoring more.
We'll see. 8)
