Rodney probably never witnessed hs football in Texas ;D
HS football can drive anybody to drinking! Or border line cardiac arrest!
It doesn't stop at borderline. Ask anyone who was at the Babe for PN-G vs. Central in 2009. And that guy got up and checked out of the hospital to go to a playoff game. ;D

AWESOME!!!!
Its on iTunes also...I can't believe you haven't seen it. They played it at MCM and they are selling dvds.
I had heard about it and searched for it the weekend after MCM on YouTube, but couldn't find it. I just haven't had a chance to look for it since then. Have to hand it to Mrs. Mitchell. She comes through with something awesome yet again. And it's really neat seeing a bunch of seniors and juniors I knew as underclassmen coming together to do something like this.

 5.
Always one to spoil the party.....but let's talk about future trophies for another team. Tsk. What a great honor for Neumann and his Bulldogs! Keep it going guys! Come on kid. How about some kudos.
Nederland has my full congratulations on a great season. I've said that plenty of times elsewhere. I just thought the shirt design was funny.

And why is that?

Cute. ;D
Isn't that the same trophy PNG put in their  trophy case for their JV and freshman this year???  ;) (at least that's the rumor - gotta hang your headdress on somethin') :-[
Nope. We fully expect the freshman and JV teams to earn the appropriate trophy when they're given that opportunity on this side of the tracks. And I have full confidence that they will. ;)

 10.
Did we sign a release saying you could use our name? :D
Just be happy they spelled it right. Half the groups that use our name can't even do that. Although they did forget the hyphen. ;D
 11. Regardless of what happened or how it ended, the Indians of 2012 gave it their all. The Indian Nation is proud of them for that. Here's to a bunch of dedicated players and a promising future for Indian football. Scalp 'em.
 12.
Wished I could say Vidor, want to say Vidor, but I have to say Summer Creek.
Same here. I hope Vidor proves me wrong, but I just don't see Summer Creek going out in the first round.

I think this can be an interesting game. SC's balance is gonna be tought to beat. They're a good 5A team, in the 4A bracket, IMO. There's always a couple of those type teams every year. Good luck to Vidor. Keep those chains moving!
Yeah, I'm trying to figure out how you have 2100 kids and be 4A. We're even smaller than y'all. 700 kids difference is like playing a 4A and 3A school combined.
Same song, second verse. It's PN-G vs. Manvel all over again. And no, it isn't fair. And based on the way the UIL went about finally creating a 6A classification, it won't get fixed any time soon.
 13.
PNG Defense has been weak for the last 4 years.  Do you think its because everyone only learns 1 position and the best athletes do not play both ways.  You can't coach with a 5A mentality with 4A players.  You cant expect to outscore everyone (except for this year) without playing defense. Here's a thought: Instead of switching out defensive coordinators every couple of years how about getting out of the 3 /4 defense. It works great when you have massive D-lineman at the 5A levels but unfortunately we do not have that. You cant put all of the blame on the players when you change nothing on defense. Wake up ! The Honeymoon period is over !!
Not the last four years. In 2009, we had the best defense in the district and one of the best in the state. That defense held Lumberton to 6 points, Livingston, Nederland, Barbers Hill (the second time), and Crosby to 7 points, a very experienced and highly vaunted Vidor team to 13, a fast Texas City to 16 and a fast Ozen to 20, an explosive, lightening fast Central offense to 22 points, and eventual state finalist Brenham to 27. The following year, the defense started out rough, but got better as the season went on and was good enough to help our offense take us on the deepest playoff run since 1999. It's only been the last two years that the defense has really suffered, and based on the scores so far this year at sub-varsity levels, that may not be the case much longer (hopefully won't).
 14. Did Barbers Hill ever expand the stands for the visiting band? That was worse than Livingston.
 15. As I understand it, PN-G placed first in district in both JV and freshman play this year. The JV team ended the season tonight with an 8-2 record and the Freshman Purple team ended at 10-0. The future is bright at PN-G.

Advertising would be great...I know several small business owners. I wouldn't mind paying a monthly or yearly fee, if thats what it takes to keep going.
Yep, small businesses or even the heavy industry in the area might be willing to pay for advertising, especially with the amount of site views that we get.
That's a real possibility. Several of the local refineries sponsor the Friday night broadcasts. A couple might be willing to put money into the site in return for advertisement here and getting mentioned on the Tuesday night preview shows. Or better yet, look into some sports memorabilia stores. A lot of local shops in Jefferson County sell stuff for the local teams. It seems like advertising on a high school sports site would go hand in hand with their business.
 17. I sent three messages to three different moderators and got nothing conclusive. Two weren't sure and one didn't really give an answer.
 18. Oh, this is a hard one. I'm going with Bill and Hillary. I don't think I'd want to make Hillary mad, and neither would Bill. ;D
 19.
Beat Nederland for our first trip ever to playoffs (: Lol I'm going through old threads reading through the Lumberton ones!
That's right. That was the year that broke Nederland's string of playoff appearances.
 20. Lumberton clinched a share of the district championship with a PN-G loss to Dayton.

Someone posted on the PN-G sports board that Trey Rembert a LB was moved to varsity, dont know if he had any playing time. I also heard that the freshman QB wants to stay with his team...which if this is true, would be a solid decision. But thats just hearsay.
That freshman team is close. They function as a unit - with one heartbeat, as an old coach would say. I don't blame the QB for wanting to stay with his team.
I have heard this also. Keeping them together would benefit us in the long run (maybe state), and he would get more playing time instead of being backup to Walker.
I don't want to count any unhatched chickens, but I think this freshman group is going to do the Reservation proud. They've also got a good sophomore group ahead of them and a good 8th grade group behind them. The future is bright at PN-G.

 23.
They really should have upgraded the visitor stands...would have made it alot more appealing as a play-off venue.
We can thank Ike for that. Plans changed halfway through.

Turner (Humble ISD) Nicely upgraded. 4. Stallworth If Lamar would be more accomodating, then yes. Would PN-G allow the Reservation to be used? I could see Bronco Stadium and Barbers Hill's stadium being used for a neutral site - especially 3A.
PN-G Visitor's side isn't big enough..
PN-G's visitors' side is the same size as BISD's visitors' side. Both hold 5,000.
