1. LC-M, for whatever reason, thinks we're their rival (think Nederland-Vidor). Plus this is their homecoming. You can count on them to be motivated to play. That said, the only 20-4A team we never lost to while I was in high school was LC-M. We went 3-1 against most teams - Lumberton, Vidor, Central, Ozen - broke even against Nederland and had losing records to Livingston (1-2) and Dayton (0-1). The one team whose number we just seemed to have was LC-M. Even during Crouch's first two years, 2009 and 2010, years when LC-M was going to beat PN-G and march into the playoffs on the backs of Hunter Gonzales and the stable of WRs he commanded, PN-G won and during the season after I graduated in 2011, won decisively. Even in 2008, our disaster year, we rolled right over LC-M (I think 34-7 was the final score). Now history means nothing on the football field. LC-M's stats show a balanced offense that divides the ball pretty evenly between Sezer on the ground and Doyle through the air. It also a shows a productive offense that has put up more than thirty points a game the last three games running. I'm confident that we can corral Sezer and at least slow down the run. I'm concerned about the passing game because our secondary has been our weakness on that side of the ball, but if we key in on Doyle, who seems to be the workhorse behind LC-M's passing game, we might be able to slow that down a little too. Offensively, LC-M doesn't seem to have much defense against the run, and our running game was our strength this past week. We really seem to be getting the running game going with Medina and Wommack. Also, AJ seemed much improved against Lumberton compared to past games, so I feel we can mix in the pass effectively to keep LC-M's defense honest. We can win this, but it's going to be a fight. PN-G is going to have to treat every game from here on out like a playoff game if the Indians want to be alive in the postseason. So with that said....
no homefield advantage in 20-4A lol......you should know that.  ;)
Maybe not, but that's alright. Nederland probably doesn't need it. ;D
I dont think they beat Lumberton the way Lumberton ran on PNG.
Central lost close games to West Brook and Memorial and lost by 14 to WO-S.  Those aren't bad losses.  Lumberton had scored 8 total points on the season before putting 25 on PNG tonight.  That tells me more about how bad PNG's Defense is this year than how good Lumberton's offense is.
Lumberton's offense only put up 19 of those points. They scored a touchdown on a fumble recovery (I believe it was our only fumble of the night) and missed the PAT. Two of the other three touchdowns came on big plays very early in the game that we did not let happen again. Our defense adjusted and Lumberton's offense put up only one more touchdown the rest of the game. PN-G showed improvement this week, and I think this is one of those games where the score wasn't really an accurate reflection of the game. I'm not counting Central out for the rest of the year, but I do think Lumberton will win this game. Didn't they beat Central last year?
 10.
LR in a blowout!
I don't know about a blowout, but I'm thinking Lumberton as well. Never would have guessed that at the beginning of the season. :o
 11. This is what we call playing basketball on a football field.
 12. Smith takes a knee on 1st & Goal. Game over. Congratulations, Indians!
 13.
Is Smith QB'ing again?
Yes. Came in on I believe the second drive of the game. Besides a fumble Lumberton returned for a touchdown, Smith has been doing very well.
 14. TD Indians; 34-25 Port Neches-Groves 5:33 4th Smith keeps it and rolls right across the goal line.
 15. Announcer just said the Rock-A-Noos just won. Still undefeated in district. Scalp 'em, Noos.

 17.
Lets just check the history of the Marching contest in the region over the past say 5 years and Lets also check the results of NAMMB (national association of military marching bands) Wanna help me out bamakid?
Vidor has performed better than any band in the area at the Area F Marching Competition (not Region X; bands are only given division ratings there and are not ranked against each other) the last two competition years. They also put on what is arguably the best homecoming show in the state. Although Nederland does put on a show with some awesome visual effects and really probably has the better concert band, when it comes to marching, Vidor is superior in my opinion. Now when it comes to NAMMB, I really can't say much because I don't pay much attention to military band competitions and PN-G isn't a military band. I have a friend who was in the Nederland band a few years ago that said Nederland left that competition on bad terms (I have no idea what the issue was or even if that's true). However, Nederland won that competition several years consecutively when still attending.

 21.
The problem with moving games is the groups that have the concessions. If you play at Lamar, they get all the proceeds from the sale not the groups like PTA that give out scholarships. With a limited number of home games most are not going to give that much up.
Bingo. And having participated in several non-football extracurricular activities, that money helps significantly. Best thing to do is expand the high school stadiums, and right now I don't think any local districts are in a position to do that.
