1. It's true. I confirmed it last night. I don't know the reasoning, but I do wish him the best of luck. I also still think PN-G will be fine.
 2.
LOL..We went from smack talking to a full blown commercial for Larrys French Market and Judices. They should feed us for free.  ;D
... in about three and a half weeks. ;D

Want to witness the PNG atmosphere I've heard about on this site. Also here there's a good seafood restaurant at 69 and 365.
That's the Schooner. Great restaurant. If you get there and decide you don't want seafood, they also grill a great steak. They make some great au gratin as well. Larry's on 366 in Groves is also good for seafood and cajun food and if you get hungry for Mexican food, Tequila's on Gulfway in Port Arthur (not the one on 69) isn't too far out of the way and is definitely worth the detour. If you want BBQ, it's hard to go wrong with Billy Joe's on 366 in Port Neches and a favorite for hamburgers (as mentioned on this site) is Hambuger Depot on Nederland Avenue in (obviously) Nederland. Living so far away has made me put together a list of all the places I want to eat at when in town. ;D
Isn't there a place down by the Fina plant......Judices?
Thats Larry's...his last name is Judice. Mr G needs to chime in on the food there.
Judice's is on 7th street in PA, thats his store also. Larry's is better IMO, grest burgers!
Judices on 7th is his brother Al Judice..its a market with deli.
I don't remember how it all worked out within the family, but I think they were both run by the parents or grandparents at one time. Either way, you can get some great food at both.

TYPICAL! Just like the people (PNG FANS) in my office making excuses to their lost on Friday against WOS. Saying that WOS players were in their 20's, and how they were "grown men" as they put it. SAD. Take the lost and move on. Trust me, there is "life" outside of PNG, and PNG aint the best thing since sliced bread.
Bam! Best post ever soulja!
It wasn't Soulja who posted that.

Gotta work on our secondary, not all bad, but couple of complete breakdowns that allowed a talented group of receivers wide open...PNG quarterback situation, Gotta to run with authority, that did not happen. Receivers have to catch when it IS catchable to them. One for sure touchdown utterly dropped. Offense has to stay on the field more, meaning running the ball. I think we could do that more because we do have size up front. Unfortunately, PNG offense calls for alot of passing. Like I have said, gonna be a tough year, but we'll get through it. It will be interesting to see what FC does at the QB position for this week......All in all just keep working hard and never give up, still think we'll surprise some people....uphill climb (not "the hill") ::)
On a positive note. The NDN's aren't playing exactly teams that are weak. All these games will make that young team better.
It is kind of a trial by fire.
No. Smoking Baby just finally figured out the Dayton jokes have gotten stale. ;D
Smokin realized that no one on this board cares about the mound OR Dayton.  He's gotta get someone stirred up and who better to pick on than the NDNs. I love to give it to the NDNs (as much as the next Bulldog Fan) BUT I have ALWAYS said this about the Purple Pride in serious conversation.... They have such a unique tradition that I HAVE NEVER seen anywhere else. Their fans follow any team BETTER than any other I have ever seen.  You have to admire their loyalty to their school colors, I have NEVER seen people more dedicated to wearing "purple" on Fridays no matter where they live (presently). You gotta hand it to the Indians, some of the people hate you, the others want to beat you and a few want to actually be like you (but can't) BUT only one can be your rival......and I am sure glad it's us, from a Nederland Bulldog. How many high school football rivaliries are known only by initials......MCM????  That's says it all.
This is an awesome post.  Nothing like MCM!!  Even with the rivalry we always cheer each other on in the playoffs.  Yes I have purchased the dreaded black and gold shirts before for my kids.  Don't tell anyone.  :o 8) ;D  I even have pictures of a former Bulldog football player in a purple playoff shirt.  :o
Blasphemy! And blackmail! ;D I keep telling people there's a reason this rivalry gets so much attention. If PN-G and Nederland ever meet in the playoffs... I just can't imagine.
 9.
imma go against the grain.....put me down for Kingwood Park
I'm thinking Kingwood Park as well.
 10.
That attitude of "not taking a knee during an injury" definitely reflects the attitude from the top down in png.
It must reflect the attitude of most college and professional programs as well. Taking a knee is something that's only developed in the last few decades, mostly because it's used in the Pop Warner leagues as a way to keep small children calm in cases of injury. If some high school programs want to continue the practice, that's fine, and if others don't, that's fine too. The best way for anyone to handle this - PN-G, Summer Creek, whoever complained about it last year and whoever else - is to just respect the decision of the other teams and move on with their lives. At the end of the day, this isn't that big of a deal.

Have there been three safeties in this game?
2
Ok, I see those two points Ozen scored to get on the board were from a blocked PAT returned for a two-point conversion. Still must be one heck of a game. It's not like you see any of that often. I'd mention the last time I saw a PAT blocked and returned like that, but I'd give Soulja a heart attack. ;D

All I can say is that PNG put points on the board against a top Defensive team. I give WOS credit. They are a great team with ton's of D1 talent on the field. Best of luck to the mustangs. They should go all the way this year.
That's what I was thinking. WO-S did a great job of shutting down PN-G last night, but PN-G gave them some significant help with all the penalties. I don't know if PN-G would have won, but I do think this game would have been much more competitive if it weren't for all the laundry on the field.
Lets not forget WOS had a laundry problem or two, the main one being the one that got the Injuns down on the goal after they had them stopped out on about the 30 for their second score.
That's true, but we killed at least three drives with penalties.
:o. i was told they never left early. even if they are losing.
Apparently you have been listening to some liars!  The PNG "Faithful" just BRAG about being great fans,  but as soon as it is obviously hopeless,  they pour out like a dyke in New Orleans. They can fill the stands, no doubt,  but can empty it just as fast. Pretty pathetic, actually.
I will never understand that. The only thing I hated about my position in the band in high school was that I had to leave the stands early, yet some people just don't seem to care. It's understandable for the old folks who want to try and avoid the crowds at the end of the game, but most of the time, the old folks are the most dedicated and least likely to leave early. I guess there's a tradeoff to having such a huge fanbase. When people start to up and leave, it's just that much more noticeable.
 16. We now have a thorough overview of what we need to work on. Remove the penalties, and I honestly think this would have been a closer game. Indians shot themselves in the foot early on - seven penalties just in the first half - and never recovered. Offense needs to work on accuracy and holding onto the ball, and develop some sort of running game. Defense showed signs of improvement after adjustments in the second half, but was way too soft in the first half. All in all, there's a lot of work to be done in the coming weeks. The difference in talent definitely showed tonight. Have to give all the credit to WO-S - they played a heck of game. Congratulations, Mustangs, and good luck this year.
 17. Look at the bright side. We've put up two touchdowns on a D1 defense. ;D
