Seems like when the momentum was in PNG's hands we would get a few penalty's and it would take the breath away. All I can say is that PNG put points on the board against a top Defensive team. I give WOS credit. They are a great team with ton's of D1 talent on the field. Best of luck to the mustangs. They should go all the way this year.
That's what I was thinking. WO-S did a great job of shutting down PN-G last night, but PN-G gave them some significant help with all the penalties. I don't know if PN-G would have won, but I do think this game would have been much more competitive if it weren't for all the laundry on the field.
:o. i was told they never left early. even if they are losing.
Apparently you have been listening to some liars! The PNG "Faithful" just BRAG about being great fans, but as soon as it is obviously hopeless, they pour out like a dyke in New Orleans. They can fill the stands, no doubt, but can empty it just as fast. Pretty pathetic, actually.
I will never understand that. The only thing I hated about my position in the band in high school was that I had to leave the stands early, yet some people just don't seem to care. It's understandable for the old folks who want to try and avoid the crowds at the end of the game, but most of the time, the old folks are the most dedicated and least likely to leave early. I guess there's a tradeoff to having such a huge fanbase. When people start to up and leave, it's just that much more noticeable.

We now have a thorough overview of what we need to work on. Remove the penalties, and I honestly think this would have been a closer game. Indians shot themselves in the foot early on - seven penalties just in the first half - and never recovered. Offense needs to work on accuracy and holding onto the ball, and develop some sort of running game. Defense showed signs of improvement after adjustments in the second half, but was way too soft in the first half. All in all, there's a lot of work to be done in the coming weeks. The difference in talent definitely showed tonight. Have to give all the credit to WO-S - they played a heck of game. Congratulations, Mustangs, and good luck this year.

FOR SOMEONE VERY SPECIAL!!!!!

I'll take the people who are so insecure about their own schools that they have to constantly attack more prominent schools for doing exactly what makes them prominent. ;) And that's neither confined to Vidor and BH nor applicable to everyone from Vidor and BH. 8) -
Jags started barbecuing on 9/3/2012. On gameday, someone asked what's 'cueing? The answer 'Bruin' for everyone. The Bulldogs turn into Birdogs for a week and fetch Geese in Baytown for Goose stew. Later on, a Memorial was given for the mass geese casualties. Livingston quoted as saying 'They (Dayton) are good. No "Lion"'. Vidor quoted as saying 'I have your "Bridge" and it's called a plank. Now move your tail'.
I'm impressed. I took a look at the games and couldn't figure anything out. I guess I had a case of poster's block. ;D -
**Breaking News** Domestic Disturbance at the home of "Butch", A Panther from the South End slapped, kicked, and ran over "PAM". Witnesses to the assault said it's the worse beating they've seen since Ike Turner or Chris Brown!! Another witness that went on camera said " Hide yo kids, hide yo wives because they beating up everbody out here!" ;D ;D That's for you Buddy ;D
;D -
Doty's first start at QB 11/24 121 yards 1 TD 2 Int (21-20 win over BH at home) Millers first start against good comp (GP was a young team with little talent) 14/22 130 yards 1 TD 1 Int (29-30 loss to Crosby on the road) Smith's first start 16/32 162 yards 1 TD 0 Int (21-20 win over Silsbee on the road) We all saw improvement each game with the former QB's, I don't expect that AJ will be any different. Rally around the young man and good things should happen.
I've been thinking about Doty's first game since the clock ran out Friday, but I didn't even think to look at Miller's first few games. You're right. +1 Smith has a lot of potential. Like the rest of the team, he played a great first half and showed some struggle after Silsbee made adjustments in the second half. He still led the Indians to a win in their first game in a stadium that makes it harder than most on visiting teams. He's got the talent and Faircloth has a proven ability to develop quarterbacks. Give the kid some breathing room and he'll develop, just like those that came before him.

19-4A & 20-4A ELIMINATOR CHALLENGE

Will this only last through the regular season or into the playoffs?
Just through the regular season. I thought of a way I could make it go through playoffs, but what if you picked all the playoff teams during the regular season and when you reach the playoffs you have no teams to pick? It could add a very strategic aspect to this, in that you would want to save the teams you think are going to make the playoffs so you'd have to pick Lumberton, for example (no offense), to win a match-up and that could make things a lot more riskier and the elimination rate would shoot through the roof.
Alright. I'll stick with Barbers Hill then. ;D -

The Ultimate Pre-Season Schedule
PN-G bamatex replied to PN-G bamatex's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
For PN-G, I'd take Memorial, WO-S and Dayton. We may very well start district 0-3, but we'd be ready for anything 20-4A has to offer. -

Ok, just to review, I can pick any team in 19-4A and 20-4A. If that team wins, I'm in for another week but I can't pick that particular team again. If that team loses, I'm out for the rest of the season. Do I have this down or am I missing something?
That is correct sir!
Alright. I'm going to go with Barbers Hill this week.
