Just a tidbit of history for you guys, Nederland was doing the lights out at halftime show years before Vidor ever did it.  The band marched with flashlights tied to their leg.  They stopped perfoming that show when they changed out the lighting system.  Man that was way back when I was a kid watching the football games. I always wondered how they didn't burn their fingers when the twirlers used fire batons, ha ha, anyways, I remember also back in the early 80's when Mr. Todd (a Nederland graduate) became head Director in Vidor, he brought a lot of the Nederland look that way in how they marched.  Is David Johnson (also a Nederland Graduate) still Directing there?  Anyways, just add fireworks and you got a nice show.
Vidor does have fireworks. Are you referring to Donnie Todd? I always thought he was one of the assistant band directors. Great director, nonetheless.

Section J, row 20......just right. NOT FOR SALE!!!!!  ;)
4 seats for 2 people?
Yes. Long story. Sometimes invite a friend.
So in other words, you take up three seats on your own? ;D
 3. Vidor's got the best homecoming halftime show around and their fans really come out of the woodwork to see it, but let's be clear about something. PN-G fans will fill up the visitor's side. I'm not saying our crowd will be larger because Vidor's home side is larger than their visitor's side, just like at most stadiums. But the PN-G crowd will line up to get every available ticket, and it's not going to matter if that line's in Vidor or Port Neches.
grrrrrr
And I have 4 seats................................ for 2 people!      Guess what side!
NED
Only because the PN-G side sold out before he could get 'em. ;)

 6.
cant wait for the day they meet in a playoff game.
Then we might play at Lamar, although it would probably take Reliant to make sure everyone had a seat. PN-G already brings massive crowds to late-season playoff games. Playing one against Nederland would probaby bring in tens of thousands of fans for both teams. IH-10 would be jam-packed.
 7.
Question: anyone ever thought of moving this game to a neutral site? I mean, I totally understand the whole "home and home" "district game" thingy. I just think that it could possibly benefit both schools if say maybe if they moved just that particular game to stadium.  Would  be much more roomier th an the visitor side at The Reservation....JMPO though!
And give up holding Mid-County Madness in front of a packed house at the Reservation? Never. There is no experience like that anywhere else in high school football, and holding MCM anywhere other than Indian Stadium and Bulldog Stadium, except for in extreme cases, would take away from the tradition and folklore surrounding the rivalry.
 8. I had to stay all night to get tickets to the playoff game against Manvel a few years ago. I was with the second group in line from about 8 PM until tickets went on sale at 7 AM the next morning. If it was that bad for a third-round playoff game, I can't imagine what it's like for MCM. And the worst part was that I didn't even need the tickets. My parents did. I was in the band.
 9.

I am sooo glad I have an inside connection. Been getting tickets the last 3 years, then selling them. ;)
you over-charge  ::) ;D
Scalp 'em, AAW, Scalp 'em! ;D
 10. The Nederland side very well may already be close to sold out. Season ticket holders get first crack at the tickets and they typically snatch most of those up every year. Your best bet is to hit up a season ticket holder for one of the teams or try and get GA tickets for the PN-G side since we'll probably have more available for however short a time because of the larger home side. Either way, it's not going to be easy.
;D  Haven't seen the video, but I used to have a couple of the hardback books...until I ran out of firewood.   (easy, easy...........just kidding!)
You've gotta be kidding. You don't get many chances to build a fire around here, and when you do, there's typically plenty of firewood left behind by a hurricane. ;D

I'm not sure whether to take that as an insult or a compliment. ;D
Ya, can you believe that?  Brenham placed a perminant franchise tag on me years ago, so that's out of the question.  Why would we want to be traded to a fan base of a far less successful team anyways?  I know I'm doing just fine at being a fan of my alma-mater here in icecreamland and the Tribe's fan base is known nationwide.  The guys he listed our big parts of their fan bases.  Yes, this includes the Smoking Baby and Raidernaytion as well.  Our fan bases don't attack other fans of our school, and our knowledge of the game is pretty high as well.  Now to answer the thread topic....  Vidor won't get past the second round.  They could possibly get Dayton in round 1 and/or get Brenham in round 2.  Good luck with that!
Yeah, I guess we're glued to our schools. We're lucky that's not a bad thing in our cases. Speaking of IceCreamLand, some friends and I drove through downtown Brenham to get on 105 from 290 about a week ago on our way back from Austin. Nice place, but I've gotta say, I halfway expected to see ice cream trucks playing the little carnival songs all over town.  ;D
 13.
I wouldn't be too disappointed Brenhamfan and PN-G bamakid, you would get tired of beer and opossum every night.  :D
That's alright. I think they're just easily intimidated by intelligence. 8) ;D

 15. As always, Ozen. Turkey legs and popcorn balls. Those fans know how to cook.

(Maybe 8-2)
That's about what I'm thinking.
What you thinking on Brenham's season?
Honestly, I don't know enough about Brenham's team at present to make an accurate prediction. If history's any indicator though, there's probably no shortage of talent and Coach West will, as always, have a well prepared team. I would think 8-2 at the very worst, but that's a preliminary prediction.

 18. Yeah, and Coach Faircloth's first year here was going to be a "rebuilding" year.... ::)
 19. Larry Neumann is obviously the favorite. He took two crap seasons that would have left most other coaches at home in November and turned them into playoff seasons. He didn't do well in the playoffs, but it was a miracle that the Bulldogs were there to begin with. Throw in a long string of playoff appearances and some genuine success and I think you have a winner based on consistency and performance. Faircloth, Harrison and Thompson all deserve nods. Harrison and Faircloth both walked into programs that were on the decline and completely turned them around. The Indians have yet to place lower than district runner-up since Faircloth has been here and went undefeated in his first season as a head coach. The Titans have finally become the force to be reckoned with that they were expected to be when Memorial was founded and are coming of a stellar season. Thompson comes across to me as the brains behind the Dan Hooks operation and he has certainly kept that program in ship shape since Hooks retired.
 20.
I hear ya, and I bet the 'Dogs are looking for a MCM win over them dang ole' PN-G "Panthers".  ;D
Scalp 'em, Panthers! ;D
 21. And right as I post that, the same person posts a picture of the mistake on Facebook.
 22. I haven't seen a copy myself yet, but a friend posted on Facebook that DCTF gives its breakdown on the Port Neches-Groves "Panthers." If so, that's a pretty egregious error (especially since PN-G opened its 2010 season by setting the attendance record at the DCTF Classic in the Alamodome) and a great way to leave about 10,000 copies sitting on Southeast Texas shelves.

I feel confident of that. How far we'll go is another story.
I wish you nothing but success except the week we come into PNG.
Ever been to a PNG game?
No but from all the hype i here looking foward to it.
You're in for a real treat. There's nothing in high school football quite like a PN-G game, especially at the Reservation.
