How far did yall make it in the playoffs this year?  8)
Tell me, 32, what was the score at the end of the Vidor-PN-G game? How long did it take the Pirates to score, again? ;)
You can have that game bamakid. I got 3 words for you one and done. I'll take the playoff wins over that one game.
And I have two for you: "field goals." Vidor deserves props for getting as far as it did, but you and I both know the Vidor defense wasn't the top defense out there. Dayton's kicker can put it through the uprights from fifty yards out. He had five field goals for Dayton and three of those were from way out towards the middle of the field. Take away the three field goals that no other high school kicker in the state could have made and you have a PN-G win by four points. Don't get me wrong; I'm not making excuses, but let's understand some things before we go making fun of somebody else's playoff run. Vidor would have been every bit as defenseless against a kicker like that as PN-G was.

 3. For steak, Saltgrass on IH-10 in Beaumont is a personal favorite. Larry's French Market on 366 in Groves is good for cajun food and The Schooner on HWY 69 in Nederland has really good seafood. Also, if you like Mexican food, I recommend the Tequila's on Gulfway in Port Arthur.
Faint chants of "four-oh-nine," accompanied by a flash of the peace hand sign to resemble the letter V, drift across the baseball field from a gaggle of high school athletes.
That's not a peace sign. It's a V, and it stands for "Victory," not Vidor. Somewhere in London, Winston Churchill is rolling in his grave. Alright, I'm off my soap box. ;D
Winston was an exchange student who played linebacker for the Pirates in '26. Ev'body knows dat....you're just jealous 'cause that stupid purple indian dance couldn't get two hits on YouTube and none of them would be outside of Port Neches....
So that's the history they're teaching in Vidor these days? 8)

 7.
We've suffered enough for the past...
And that's just it. People picking on Vidor for racism is punishing current Vidor residents and, most importantly, Vidor kids for crap that happened 40+ years ago. It's akin to demanding reparations from families that owned slaves 150 years ago; the Vidorians of today have no control over what happened four decades ago. I was in and out of Vidor almost once a week in high school. I know plenty of people from Vidor and I would probably have more funny Vidorian stories than anybody at that radio station. That said, this country isn't going to get past racism until people learn to forgive and forget things that people who are now dead did before most of us were born (and that goes for people of any race). It's one thing to pick on a community, but it's something entirely different to drag out a dark and buried past. There's probably no real legal recourse, but I bet those announcers would shut up pretty quickly if half the town of Vidor called in during the radio show for a few days in a row.

 9.
Well Bamakid you asked for it. Rumos has it that they are trying to put a new twist on the indian dance to make it more civilized. A new sneak peak with the coach into it right here [Hidden Content]
Wait a minute, I asked for this? Please, tell the rest of the school that, because everyone loves Coach Cox for that very reason. ::) Besides, Coach Cox wears shorts a lot. I hear you Vidor folks worship that in Coach Mathews, so I wouldn't be so quick to judge him. ;D

Why not? I think it's pretty dang cool. Besides, it's fun to be a Pirate right now and I'm tired of that stupid purple indian dance I've had to endure for 53 years.
Well you know, if we didn't score on Vidor so much, you wouldn't have to see it as often. ;D
Don't forget a bunch of hairy rednecks barking like dogs.  The Indian, well, is is a guy in a dress bouncing around like he has ants in his skirt.  That should be punishment enough, if your not into dresses, that is.
You're just jealous because that purple dress was on display in the Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum up until last week while the tutu your eagle wears never left Mont Belvieu. ;) ;D
"Bob Bullock" ......uh, OK.  You sure it was not the Janis Joplin museum, now I could see her, assuming she wasn't dead from a heroin over-dose, wearing that indian dress.  ;D
Nah, Joplin went to TJ. It was in the Bullock museum, along with a half dozen other pieces of PN-G memorabilia and a recording of Cherokee. [Hidden Content] Didn't see "Throw your Vs up" while I was there.... ;D

What's his name? Skittlez?
Actually, he's the kid who reigned 3's down on ya'lls head during the '03 - '04 basketball 30 win season.
So he's a basketball player? That explains everything. ;D

 15.
I know the UIL allows you to play up in classification.  What about instituting a buffer of maybe 5 or 10 students that allows you to play down?  It seems like its a hard number and in Deweyville's case they got hosed because they had 2 extra kids.  Does 2 kids make that it worth all of the money they will spend and time these kids have to be away from the classroom?!?  School is still supposed to be about education first, right?
A 20 student buffer either way would help to clean up some of the mess.
 16. Here's a link to all of the 4A districts: [Hidden Content] Half the districts in Region III make no sense.
 17. I think we'll stick with purple and white on a field of green....

We're 14-5 at the new stadium and 14-2 since Faircloth hired on. The turf's not preventing us from winning.
 20.
I believe the field is off limits as well as the track, because of some vandalism in the past.  They could cover it during the summer if need be.
It was for about a year, but I had heard they opened it back up to the public. I also know there used to be some ultimate frisbee games on the field during the summers (I think YoungLife sponsored them).
 21.
PN-G CLAS OF '61---I am sure some of us will sign up, that is the ones of us that are still barely alive, after all out motto was ''if we can't so it, it can't be done, senior class of 61''. 22.
Yea, the Indians put up a Goose Egg and barely moved the ball while the Jags ran wild torching the field!  ;D
More like the Jags didn't know how to kick a PAT and Dre' Dunbar tore right on up the field. Where was all that speed you mentioned then? ;) Oh wait, that wasn't at Indian Stadium. That was in y'all's house! ;D
If I'm not mistaken, in the offseason, isn't there a huge tarp-like cover that can be placed on the turf to avoid weathering?  Isn't that what the NFL does?
If there is, I've never seen it. It probably isn't used because the soccer teams practice out there while the football team's in offseason.

Excessive TD's by the home team..... Sorry Soul, had to say that!!
No, it started the year the turf went down in 2008 when every team raced up and down the field to score TD's on the happless Inidans.  Remember, the 'cursed' field.  The last game was no exception as my Jags burned your field up with all that speed.  8) 8)
And yet y'all still lost by 30 points. ;) Besides, I think seven home wins and a perfect regular season broke the curse. ;D
