1. So now we have another white rapper, and he's from Vidor? What's his name? Skittlez?
 2.
Sitting here on the Las Vegas Strip and just had to log-in and officially welcome our new district neighbors.  YOU ALL SUCK!  ;D ;D ;D ;D  See you come August  ;) ;)
Don't bet too much money on BH. Got to have enough to fly back. ;D
 3.
I know the UIL allows you to play up in classification.  What about instituting a buffer of maybe 5 or 10 students that allows you to play down?  It seems like its a hard number and in Deweyville's case they got hosed because they had 2 extra kids.  Does 2 kids make that it worth all of the money they will spend and time these kids have to be away from the classroom?!?  School is still supposed to be about education first, right?
A 20 student buffer either way would help to clean up some of the mess.
 4. Here's a link to all of the 4A districts: [Hidden Content] Half the districts in Region III make no sense.
 5. I think we'll stick with purple and white on a field of green....
 6.
PNG will be playing two 3A schools to start the season the next two years. Week 0    Silsbee Week 1      WOS
Any idea what the third game will be?
 7.
I'm pretty sure Jerry Jones will be suing, seeing how their turf is keeping them from winning games as well..... 8)
Preventing us from winning? We're 14-5 at the new stadium and 14-2 since Faircloth hired on. The turf's not preventing us from winning.
 8.
I believe the field is off limits as well as the track, because of some vandalism in the past.  They could cover it during the summer if need be.
It was for about a year, but I had heard they opened it back up to the public. I also know there used to be some ultimate frisbee games on the field during the summers (I think YoungLife sponsored them).
 9.
PN-G CLAS OF '61---I am sure some of us will sign up, that is the ones of us that are still barely alive, after all out motto was ''if we can't so it, it can't be done, senior class of 61''. Maby we wil change that motto to ''We are not going to do it cause we can't run, senior class of 61''.
LOL :D
 10.
Yea, the Indians put up a Goose Egg and barely moved the ball while the Jags ran wild torching the field!  ;D
More like the Jags didn't know how to kick a PAT and Dre' Dunbar tore right on up the field. Where was all that speed you mentioned then? ;) Oh wait, that wasn't at Indian Stadium. That was in y'all's house! ;D
If I'm not mistaken, in the offseason, isn't there a huge tarp-like cover that can be placed on the turf to avoid weathering?  Isn't that what the NFL does?
If there is, I've never seen it. It probably isn't used because the soccer teams practice out there while the football team's in offseason.
 11.

Rumor has it that the problem started last year (2010 Season) with the game against the Central Jags. Excessive TD's by the home team..... Sorry Soul, had to say that!!
No, it started the year the turf went down in 2008 when every team raced up and down the field to score TD's on the happless Inidans.  Remember, the 'cursed' field.  The last game was no exception as my Jags burned your field up with all that speed.  8) 8)
And yet y'all still lost by 30 points. ;) Besides, I think seven home wins and a perfect regular season broke the curse. ;D
 12.
That's one problem we don't have in Nederland, Bandkid.  ;)
I think we'll gladly take this over Nederland's problems. ;)
 13. Yeah. It's been in the PA News. The turf company said it had offered to come by and evaluate the field, but that PN-GISD never got back to them about a time. Don't know if that's true or not and honestly kind of doubt it is. This has been an ongoing issue. There were complaints about the wear on the turf within a year of its installation. I heard someone say that it wasn't designed to stand up to the extreme weather conditions of SETX, but I don't remember who said it and I honestly don't believe that. We'll see what comes of it. Hopefully the result will be a new field.
 14.
If anyone can remember that far back... the Crosby v. PNG game was an absolute thriller this year, and the Dayton Crosby game was decided literally on the last play.
I listened to the radio broadcast of that game and it sure sounded like one.
 15. Read something on Facebook about the PN-G girls team in an Austin-area tournament. Anyone know any details?
 16.
Xaphoon, you don't even need to have played in high school.  basically, anyone who graduated from the school is eligible to play.  But, to keep it a good game, they would like you to at least play something you played in high school.  I mean, they don't exactly want 10 guys who played line to say they want to play quarterback :-* Check out the new link at www.AlumniMidCountyMadness.com
So, if that's the case, we could just go find all the players that graduated last year and put them on the field against the old guys? ;D

 18. I only saw three high school games this year (Vidor @ PN-G, Ned @ PN-G, & Vidor vs. Angleton). The most competitive game I saw was Mid-County Madness, but that's normally the case. The game I saw where my team performed the best was Vidor @ PN-G. PN-G was up 22-0 until the fourth quarter. We capitalized on Vidor's mistakes early on and they didn't show any fire after that until late in the game. PN-G dominated until Vidor finally changed things up on offense.
 19. Accidentally posted a link in the wrong forum.
 20.
It's none of my business but that's never stopped me before  :D but this sounds like a guaranteed orthopedic bonanza! ::)
To be a doctor in Mid-County right now.... ;D How about an alumni band? Or possibly a car with a really big stereo and a recording of Cherokee? ;D
 21. Are the quarters five minutes long? Because that's about as long as each string will last.... ;D
 22. Nederland wasn't a state finalist that year. Nederland lost 7-6 to Bay City (the eventual state champion) in the state semifinal. The last time the Bulldogs played in a state championship was 1961.
Seems like he sees that the talent pool at Friendswood was a little shabby and wanted to get away while he was still a high commodity.  Pretty smart move.  He wants to avoid consecutive subpar seasons, so he'll take just one.
That or he knows Friendswood is about to go 5A and get a serious wake-up call in more than just football.
 23. Last I heard, it's out of commission because the sprinkler system is faulty and the Houston fire marshal won't pass it.
 24.

Thanks is there any loss of eligibility if my child is in sports?
UIL could still rule that the move is for athletic reasons. Your child may not be eligible for varsity sports. Will just depend on their ruling.
Is that still needed if you transfer to a school in a different classification or UIL district?
 25. The school district you want to move your kid to has the right to deny him access. However, if it grants access, it will receive the same amount of state funding for the child as any other district (I believe that rate is $55 per day present at school).
