It was a fun game to watch and very exciting. Hats off to the PNG faithful for turning out in droves. With that said, I was a little mystified at some of the pregame theatrics on the PNG side of the field. The PNG coach seemingly waited until the last minute to bring his team out of the locker. And the whole deal with the Indian mascot dancing on the 50 yard line of the other teams field was definitely bush league. It reminded me of the time Terrell Owens did his dance on the Cowboys star at Texas Stadium when he was with the 49ers. No class! Newsflash: all that does is motivate the other team! Oddly enough, the line shows PNG had more penalty yards than Livingston.
That is a PN-G tradition. The Indian Spirit has always danced on the 50 yard line at every game, regardless of where that game is played. Normally, it's the only way all of the PN-G faithful can see him.
Thats why that Bear beat him up a few years back!
Really? Because I thought it had more to do with the fact that LC-M is tired of losing to PN-G in just about everything. ;D

That kid has made some incredible catches. His hands are like a magnet for the football.
Well, I think Mr. Nelson will someday play some Sunday games if he avoid injuries, love to have on my team!!! :) :) :) :) :)
Agreed. And congratulations to Livingston on a heck of a game. There's a reason the Lions are picked to take the title.
 3. Soulja, I hate to go against you, but I've got to pick Livingston.

 6. It's official. The world's ending next year. Repent.
 7. As usual, there's only one true prediction I can offer: the stadium's going to be packed. I'll be home for this and I look forward to seeing the Indians in person for the first time this year. Scalp 'em!
Don't flatter yourself. Next week PNG will take you place. Thats when the real competition begins
Like it ever ended in the first place.... ;) ;D
I've been getting smote so much by Nederland fans lately...I fell like a Biblical Egyptian.....It's like, For behold the Nederland fan will pass through this thread to smite the Vidor fan.....But I say unto you Nederland fan whosoever shall smite me on my right cheek, I will smite him back.  ;) ;)
I know what you mean. I've taken a few hits from some Nederland fans myself (among others). I haven't the slightest idea why.... ;D To be honest, I never really saw the point behind karma. The only reason I could figure was that it gave new members a way of knowing who the more reputable posters are, but that's not bullet-proof.
 12. Why do we have karma?
 13.
Bandkid, you are soooo wrong!  ;D ;D
It's all meant in good fun. :)
We don't hate you bandkid.....we just don't like purple.
Don't worry. You can admit it. We hate Nederland back. ;) ;D In all seriousness, you won't find a friendlier rivalry or a closer relationship between communities than what you find in Mid-County. I personally think the level of competition between PN-G and Nederland is what keeps the two schools performing so highly. To say that it's the longest continuous rivalry in Southeast Texas and that it's the fiercest in the state, Mid-County folks share a strong bond.
Not in our type of system. The system is geared towards having the poor remain below a certain poverty level.
I could not have said it better myself. You are correct that the system is geared toward keeping the poor down. Almost to a person they vote Democratic. Ever care to guess why they keep them down with welfare? When you can keep a family living in the same government housing project for 3 generations, you have a built in voting bloc.
If that was true, the Demos would not have to cater to the middle.
If it wasn't true, the nation's political landscape would look nothing like it does today and we would be facing entirely different issues.
 19. Better luck in two weeks, 'Dogs. Congrats Eagle fans.
The notion that the stimulus failed has hardened into Republican orthodoxy, but it doesn't hold up. A study released last week by the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office confirmed that as of June, between 1 million and 2.9 million people are working who wouldn't otherwise have been, thanks to the stimulus. That study wasn't an outlier. Several others came to similar conclusions, including one by the economists Alan Blinder and Mark Zandi. As Jared Bernstein notes, the analysis by Blinder and Zandi found that the stimulus was responsible for roughly 2.7 million jobs and increased the GDP in 2010 by a healthy 3.4 percent. But a payroll tax cut has been in effect since the start of the year, and as Bruce Bartlett, who served as a Treasury official in President George H.W. Bush's administration, wrote this week, "There is no evidence that the lower payroll tax has done much of anything to stimulate either spending or hiring." The Obama administration has proposed extending the cut into next year. Republicans oppose the idea. The Republicans only wont the tax cut for the top 1% not for the working class.
Source?
