[/quote] It was determined by a poster on the PN-G site. He started by looking at all of the teams that were undefeated at the end of the regular season, and then looked at their JV teams. If I remember correctly, the only school that came close was Waxahachie, with a JV team whose record was 9-1. [/quote] The answer to your question is simple: for the first time in a quite a while, [u]everyone[/u] in the PN-G community feels like they have something to be proud of, and I'm not just talking about football. I started a thread on the PN-G site a little while ago that outlined the accomplishments of Port Neches-Groves High School and its various amenities over the course of the 2009-2010 school year. This list of accolades was long at the time, and now it's even longer. Our band competed at the Area F Marching Competition, our football team went undefeated through the first round of the playoffs, our volleyball team went to the playoffs, our basketball team had its first winning season in several years, our baseball team is tied for the second place slot in our league, both of our soccer teams took the district titles and went to the third round of the playoffs, our high school is a recognized school in a recognized district, our UIL Academics team recently took its 10th consecutive district sweepstakes award (the equivalent of a district title) - and this is just what I could think of and type in the space of a few minutes (trust me, there's more). These are great times for PN-G. We're performing well on every front. The Indian Nation realizes that and is getting excited. The Indians are on the warpath, and as good as this year is, I can't shake the feeling that next year is going to be even better.

I believe the PN-G girls team is playing Brenham Friday, but I don't know where or when.

PN-G took the district title in both boys and girls soccer and both teams are advancing to the playoffs.

I had a feeling back in August that, with the way we worked, we had a chance to be a special team. I'm happy for the seniors."   Ninety minutes (eighty regulation and 10 in the first overtime) failed to produce any goal. Then the teams exploded for the three goals during the second 10-minute overtime. If the teams had been tied after two overtimes, Nederland would have been the district champion instead of PN-G. The double OT win enabled PN-G and Nederland to be tied 39-39 in the district's point system. PN-G owned the next tiebreaker by owning a one-goal head-to-head advantage in goal differential.   "It was a heck of a game," Central coach Tony Cox said, praising both sides. "PN-G deserves the top spot because they never gave up. I thought that big No. 10 (Greg Flores) was the difference for them."   Flores unlocked a 1-1 tie with 6:50 left in the second overtime. PN-G currently uses block scheduling. I believe Nederland and Vidor do as well. What do you need to know?

PN-G and Central will make up the top two positions in 20-4A with Nederland in a close third providing that they don't hit another tough break with injuries. The fourth position could go to anyone else.

In 20-4A, you can bet that PN-G and Central will be in the running. The only other team that might have a chance in my opinion is Nederland, but we'll have to wait and see.

It's been posted on the PN-G site that we're playing Gregory-Portland in the Alamodome, Crosby, and Texas City in that order. Other than the G-P game, I don't know locations, dates, or times.

Gordon LeBoeuf (pictured above) died recently. He still holds the all-time rushing record at PN-G with ~2,100 yds. Caleb Harmon is second with ~1,800. Looks like we had outstanding fan support back then, too.

Congratulations, Barbers Hill. Hopefully this new coach will shake things up in 19-4A (or whatever district you're in after realignment) and bring y'all as much fun as Coach Faircloth brought us. Of course, until you meet the Indians on the field. ;D

The teachers had a hand in this, too. They're always willing to go the extra mile for a student participating in one or more extra-curricular activities. Their rooms are almost filled with extra-curricular students for tutorials in the morning.

2009 PN-G loss to Brenham in Second Round of Playoffs, 27-21 I still think that we would of won and maybe even gone all the way had we played four full quarters of football and had the referees been a little more fair, but it had been a rough week at the Reservation leading up to that game and there's always next year. Congratulations on a great season, Brenham.
