  1. That's not the only reason. The UIL Region X Marching Competition is to be held there tomorrow, and it's a major fundraiser for the LC-M band.
  2. Correction: That's 3 classy towns, but I understand. It's easy to forget about Vidor... ;D
  3. Alright, I think we've had our fun gloating over the Livingston win. Let's just say "good game" and move on to the Vidor threads, shall we?
  4. The video is what made it. Was the audio great? On its own, no, but it really played well with the video.
  5. I like what we played for MCM.
  6. OH NO We are playing this game at the reservation? It is impossible to win at the Reservation right? Gosh if I had known it was at the Reservation I would not talked so much trash! Come on guys, reservation or not, this will be a good game that could go either way!!!!! : I'm not saying that the game is unwinnable for Vidor, only that it is at the Reservation and that, consequently, we will have a sizable home field advantage. Let's be serious, here. Vidor is going to be in Indian territory. The Pirates are going to be walking out onto a field in front of 8,000-10,000 fans, all dressed in purple, all rooting for the tribe. We'll have an advantage, just like Vidor would if we were playing at Croak Field on Friday (although I would argue that ours is greater ).
  7. I agree with Jackthehammer. Our defense will even out with Vidor's offense. It comes down to our offense's ability to get through Vidor's defense, something that I believe we'll be able to do. In addition, the game is at Indian Stadium and there's nothing quite like the home field advantage the Reservation provides. However, there's always potential for Vidor to come with a few tricks up their sleeves. I'm going with PN-G by a minimum of 10 points.
  8. Quinton Jackson is coming out onto the field! Quinton Jackson has the ball! Quinton Jackson is still on his feet! Quinton Jackson is running! Quinton Jackson just got knocked on his butt by the Indian defense! Quinton Jackson is exiting the field as the game ends! Quinton Jackson is entering the locker room! That woman was screaming "Quinton Jackson this, Quinton Jackson that" for the whole freakin' game. I can understand enthusiasm but seriously, there are 21 other players starting for the Lions as well.
  9. I'm assuming that Lumberton is playing at "the Babe" this week?
  10. Look, when it comes down to it, Nederland did a great job considering the circumstances, but PN-G won, fair and square. Both teams went out onto the field and gave their very best and, even with Nederland's reduced performance due to injuries, it was a great game. Both crowds cheered with a lot of spirit, both bands, both drill teams, and both cheerleading squads did their best to fire everyone up, and both the Indians and the Bulldogs created an atmosphere that can rival that of most college rivalry games. Mid-County Madness is still one of the best games of high school football around and there's still another one next year. So, until then, go Indians and Bulldogs. In the meantime, drop the subject.
  11. Alright, from what I can tell, Livingston has a pretty good running game on offense, but not that much of a passing game and their defense could use some work. PN-G has proven that it can hold down the running game and our offense has dominated some weak defenses. However, this is also PN-G's first road game of the season and the majority of our fan base will be out in the parking lot looking in (thank God I'm in the band ;D). So, I'm going to say that PN-G wins by 7+ points.
  12. With all the injuries and losses, it's obvious that Nederland is down this year, but they're certainly not out and we're talking about Mid-County Madness. This is the most exciting game of the year for every Mid-County fan and is the culmination of one of the fiercest and friendliest high school rivalries in the state of Texas. Anything, and I mean anything, can happen at this game. Progress prior to MCM doesn't matter at that game and it won't matter come Friday. As focused as these communities can be on football and Friday night in the week before a regular game, Port Neches, Groves, and Nederland will all be taking things to a much higher level this week. The enthusiasm, motivation, and spirit of the fans, students, teachers, coaches, football players, bands, drill teams, cheerleading squads, and all others somehow associated with this game are going to be the deciding factors. Nederland could walk in and beat us 77-0 like YankeeDawg said, or the Indians could "take the Bulldogs to the woodshed" as some on the PN-G site have put it. There's any number of ways this game could go down, but one thing's for certain: both sides must take the other seriously. That being said: Do I hope the Indians will win? As always. Do I think the Indians will win? Only because we're playing at the Reservation this year. As always, it's gonna be a heck of a game no matter what the outcome. Go Indians.
  13. B-Hall and part of A-Hall are set to be torn down and made into a parking lot along with the area behind the old boy's gym as soon as the construction of the new wings is completed. Have some patience. It's a safe bet that there will be plenty of parking by the next time that LC-M plays at the Reservation.
  14. well then band kid this just aint the place for ya! LOL jk This is high school football pickem which includes all classes to be fair. There are forums for you to be able to make your predictions in 20 4A or rate 20 4a teams if your intrested but Im not going to be able to take a line up with just 20 4a picks. There is alot of work involved in this and if I started taking partial lineups it would be too much to handle. If you have any questions feel free to pm or just ask thanks! Well, what the heck, then? I'll just do my best based on what I do know. Orangefield @ Newton Anahuac @ Deweyville East Chambers @ Buna Kountze @ Warren Evadale @ Sabine Pass High Island @ Hull Daisetta West Hardin @ Burkville Kelly @ Bridge City Hardin Jefferson @ Kirbyville Jasper @ Hamshire Fannett The Woodlands @ PA Memorial West Brook @ Katy Woodville @ Corrigan Camden Chester @ Colmesneil
  15. Ain't much to cover since it looks like 20-4A is going to have an overwhelmingly BORING year. ;D
  16. Vidor @ Central Goose Creek Memorial @ Dayton Houston CE King @ Barbers Hill Ozen @ Nederland LCM @ PNG Lumberton @ Livingston I'm not really qualified to make any judgments on any games outside of 19-4A and 20-4A.
  17. What tough 5A team did you guys play? Sorry. I had a brain fart and thought Texas City was a 5A school for a moment.
  18. This is going to be an interesting game for three reasons: Both teams have new coaches (and this will be the first of several district games of that kind for both teams). Both teams are recovering from a terrible season and have improved greatly compared to last season's performance. Both teams have had at least one tough win in preseason that has really pumped up the schools and their fan bases. That being said, I say it's a tough game because both teams have a lot of talent, a lot of enthusiasm, and an experienced coaching staff, but PN-G by at least 7 points. The homefield advantage, our team's experience from playing both a tough 4-A team and an even tougher 5-A team, and the extensive, game-specific preparation routines our stellar new coaching staff puts our team through are going to be the deciding factors for this game. I know a lot of people are going to say that PN-G is underestimating LC-M, but trust me when I say that, while the fans very well may be, the coaching staff most definitely isn't and, as they have shown they are more than capable of doing, will have this team ready to play the much-improved '09 LC-M Bears at the Reservation on Friday night.
  19. I don't know much about Galena Park this year, but if the Eagles play anything like they did at the season opener, they shouldn't have a problem. Best of luck, '09 Eagles.
  20. i went also, can't blame png for this. i doubt the png's coaching staff reviewed the film either. png fans, what happen to tip ? All I know for certain is that it's his health. The rumor is that it's inoperable lung cancer, but again, that's just a rumor. was that a recording at half, when i heard his voice? No. He's made it back to announce for the band, twirlers, and Indianettes for both of the games so far.

  22. I've heard that Mr. Keith (PN-GHS Principal) said that they're projecting a total of 12,000 fans in attendance tonight.
