  1. Crosby barely made the playoff's last year, I say they do about the same this year. Saw Sam Malchur(don't know if I spelled that right) play last weekend he did good.
  2. Caleb Mangum was at Galveston last week and sign with them from what I been told. His summer team coach Hondo is now one of the coaches at Galveston.
  3. BH will definitely be one of the leaders in 19-4a. I know numerous players were picked up by the Heat to play Fall Ball and also they will have Micheal Bounds back this year who is a great pitcher and SS. 1. BH 2. KP 3. Crosby 4.King or GCM
  4. I don't think the problem is move-ins not having talent. More like if you're not "from the hill" youre not given the opportunity. Eagleseyes showed the typical BH mentality of go back where you came from no invited you here. Don't get me wrong, not everyone is like that though. If your son or daughter has talent, they will play at BH. Go BH
  5. I hear a lot of talk about all the other teams, but the Hill is always the team to beat. The Hill has a excellent farm program, good parents and several kids yet to be seen played for some of the best select teams in Houston this summer. This blog might start off talking about Kp and Crosby but at the end of the season we will see who tops the Blogs.

  7. District 19-4A honor team has BH flavor By Jerry Michalsky Contributor Published May 27, 2009 - Updated 37 minutes ago The Barbers Hill Eagles finished the regular season as the co-champs of District 19-4A and advanced to the second round of the playoffs before falling to Brenham 3-2. Last week, the District 19-4A All-District team was announced and the Eagles’ excellence was acknowledged with eight players being on the first, second, and honorable mention teams. Barbers Hill senior shortstop Tony Carmona grabbed the co-defensive MVP award along with Crosby sophomore pitcher Jeremy Gabryszwski. Burditt, who was named as a pitcher, finished district with a 4-1 record on the mound and 6-1 on the season with a 1.09 earned run average. Henscey was selected to the outfield after finishing with a .356 batting average to go along with 10 home runs. The Cougars’ Caleb Mangum finished as Co-MVP of district with a .452 batting average. C.E. King’s Elijah Short shared the honors with Mangum. Tyler Nichols of Kingwood Park finished as the offensive MVP. Crosby landed first baseman Ben Skinner on the first team with a .464 batting average along with third baseman Sam Malchar and outfielder Cori Langley. Malchar finished with a .324 average and Langley hit at a .410 pace. Goose Creek Memorial catcher Brandon Rhoden was named newcomer of the year with a .421 batting average. Pitcher Cody Butler also made the first team for the Patriots. Garrett Cates of C.E. King grabbed the coach of the year award. 8. 20-4a pretty impressive tonight going 3-0 and out scoring 19 4A 25-4. Vidor can make it 4-0 with an upset of Barbers Hill tommorrow. tonight we changed that to 28-17
  9. If not for Burditt they might not have even made the playoff's. You might want to look into things a little more before you give one guy all the credit. Burditt has pitched very well and he's definitely the guy we want on the mound, but I think he's gotten some pretty good defense and run support when he's pitched, not to mention some solid work from our pitchers in relief. BH put up 12 and 6 runs in his starts against Dayton. They put up 13 in his start against GC. They put up 17 and 5 in his starts against GP. They put up 4 in his start against KP. The only game in district that he didn't get any support was against Crosby. That's an average of over 8 runs of support per start. Jay's been our go to guy all year, but he didn't do it by himself. Of his 7 starts in district only 3 have been complete games and one of those was the loss to Crosby when he didn't get any help. Jay's got 4 wins in District this year so how did BH manage to get those other 6. I'm glad to have Jay on our side and he is definitely our go to guy, but to say that he's the only reason BH made the playoffs is a slap in the face to several very good ball players on the BH team. I think Jay would be the first to let you know that's he's had some help with his success this year. I totally agree with that, it takes nine players to make a team and BH definitely has some talented players.
  10. After 5 innings score is 4-4.
  11. Has Smesny pitched 3 times in a seven day period. Whats up with that.
  12. 1-1 Has been in a rain delay for over 1 hour.
  13. King lost one of their starting pitchers and when you don't have a lot of pitching to begin with that hurts. Last night they played North Forest in a nail biter 7-8 King.
  14. I've been offended by your post plenty of times and I hope you've been offended by mine has well, it's what makes it so interesting. I thought BH and GCM had a good rivalry going on. Best of luck tonight.
  15. I Believe they are looking ahead to next Tuesday.
  16. I heard Burditt would not be making an appearance on the mound tonight. I haven't heard. I asked my son at around 2pm and he didn't know who was pitching. Who's throwing for the Goose tonight? Burditt will not pitch tonight. Don't know who will get the start for BH.
  17. 1.BH 2.CE King 3.Dayton 4.GP
  18. Shooter I bet that's not what KP is thinking, I'm sure they've made adjustments for Burditt. Better come with your game face on and play one inning at a time, one out at a time and one pitch at a time. Don't look past anyone in this district. Also, way to keep that fastball down in the zone.
  19. Hey 3amagic, I thought I was don'tknowjack.
  20. The Goose definitely gets his feathers ruffled easily.
  21. Congrats to Jared Baker on the win. Jared you pitched a great game.
