  1. Hey RIP you do have a way with the lip, Woust Mustang speaks with a Forked tongue!
  2. Pat such a Hill hater, root cause and analysis your team just didn't live up to your expectations so you don't want to see anyone succeed. It's not my expectations they have to live up to. Growing pains are not enjoyable for anyone. But, and we all have a big but, I am happy that we beat BH at least once this year. Round two starts today. Anything can happen. Do not count the Goose out! See ya'll on the 21st. Well Pat looks like you missed that call. 17 runs on 19 hits.

  4. And by the way, We do appreciate GCM helping bump BH back to the top,we will do our best to hang on to the top spot!
  5. 5-7 GP. Three of the top 4 teams that were tied for first lost. I believe this district race is still wide open.
  6. Let's not forget that smesny hit 4 Crosby batters, as well as the pitcher for Crosby, who in all fairness had a right for retalliation after being hit in the throwin arm by a 90mph smesny fastball. No, it's not very sportsmanlike, but this is Crosby vs. Dayton, as well as a competitive game; daddy ball is over folks...we can take it from here. Props to a spectacular pitching performance by both teams, especially smesny for giving up only 4 hits, 2 to the 3 hole for Crosby, who had all 4 rbi's and game winning hr Best game of the year by far for District 21-4a Sorry no excuse is good enough for hitting another player in the head deliberately.
  7. KP won, but I don't know the score.
  8. Tuesday, March 31 Burditt's 2-Hitter Paces BH 6-0 Win Over Dayton Barbers Hill improved their district mark to 4-1 with a 6-0 victory over Dayton. The Eagles will travel to Crosby on Friday in another key District 19-4A match-up. Jay Burditt once again took to the home mound and pitched another gem. Besides limiting the Broncos to only 2 hits, Burditt only once allow more than one runner to reach base. That was the second inning when he gave up a walk and a single. But even then no more than one runner was on base at a time. The first Bronco that reach base was erased on a caught stealing. For the night Burditt's numbers were 2 hits, 3 walks, 1 hit-by-pitch and 12 strikeouts. Barbers Hill scratched out all the runs in the first without the benefit of a base hit. Heath Padgett and Colby Henscey both were issued walks in the inning. Padgett advanced all the way to third when he stole second and continued to third on a throwing error by the catcher. With Padgett on third, Henscey was issued a free pass to first. Colby then began an attempted steal of second when the pitcher threw a wild pitch scoring Padgett and Henscey raced on to third on the play. Henscey then scored on a sac fly by Burditt. The Eagles added more runs in the 2nd, 4th and 6th innings. With one out in the second, Alex Rocha laced on of his 2 triples to the right field wall. Rocha would then score on a RBI ground out by second baseman Cody Clifton. Two more Eagle runners came home in the fourth inning when Rocha tripled in courtesy runner Cade McDonald. McDonald was running for Jake Ponder who had walked. Rocha came home moments later on an error by the Bronco shortstop. The sixth Eagle run was a product of a double by Ponder and a single by pinch hitter Brian Meyer.
  9. CEK beat NF last night.
  10. The Kids from Crosby have a long tradition of being ugly and their school does nothing about it. They chased our bus down to the What a burger one year screaming obscenities and calling out our kids to fight in the parking lot, after a butt kicking in baseball 2 years ago.Better take a police escort with you when you go to their house, especially if you plan on winning.
  11. Tuesday, March 24 Barbers Hill 4 Kingwood Park 1 Barbers Hill got a great pitching performance from Jay Burditt and just enough offense to defeat Kingwood Park by a score of 4-1 in a District 19-4A contest. The Eagles are now 10-6 and 3-0. Burditt maintained control throughout the game. Only twice did Kingwood Park get the leadoff batter on base. In the sixth inning, the Mustangs got a single up the middle and then a push bunt past the pitcher to begin the inning. But Burditt quickly did damage control by coaxing a fly out to left, a strikeout and a tapper back to the mound. The lone run score off of Burditt was an unearned run in the 7th. After a single and wild pitch put a runner on second, Burditt got the next two batters on a line drive to third and a pop-up to the catcher. Kingwood's next batter singled to right but the runner was held at third until the right fielder mishandled the grounder and let it get behind him. A flyout to right ended the game. Offensively, Barbers Hill got all the runs they needed in the 2nd and 3rd innings. Burditt began the second inning with a walk and was replaced by courtesy runner Cade McDonald. McDonald was advanced to second on a ground out by Tyler Lyday. Jake Ponder drove in the first run of the game was a double past third base. In the third, the Eagles plated 2 runs after 2 were out. Cody Clifton singled to get on base. The Mustang pitcher got the next 2 batters. But a hot hitting Colby Henscey did not waste a scoring opportunity as he jacked a tremendous shot high over the left field fence. The home run was Henscey's fifth of the season. The Eagles final run came on a bases loaded walk to Burditt. 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 R H E LOB Kingwood Park 0 0 0 0 0 0 1 1 7 1 6 Barbers Hill 0 1 2 0 1 0 x 4 7 1 7 Winning Pitcher: Jay Burditt 7 innings, 8 Strikeouts, No Base-on-balls, No earned runs. 12. Well it's obvious you can't listen to Rambleous, he is either blowing smoke or just doesn't know what he is talking about.
  13. What kind of pitching can we expect from Bay City. I know Tomek will feed you a steady diet of curves, but does anyone know who else might be pitching and what to expect.
  14. You are correct--I would like to know if that high eighties is on a gun---Dayton has one at 89 and one at 85 and I consider us lucky [/quote Glad to know we are going to see some good pitching in the district. Floating tators won't get you ready for the playoffs. Can't wait to see your best. It's going to be a exciting year.
  15. Yeah they better bring a sack lunch, because it's gonna take awhile.
  16. Well surely we dont select our varsity starters from a 2 day practice-try out, Varsity players have earned their spots from their past history of proven performance.
  17. Rocha, Padgett, Burditt, Henscey, Clifton, Peterson, Carmona, Baker, Ponder. These are the Seniors that have paid their dues. Next in line are the JV players from last year who have already been pulled up.Freshman get in line. Bounds would have been in that line up if he was not injured and I bet you will see Lyday in before it is over----go ahead and give the seniors a shot but you will see changes before it is over I truly believe that Bounds would have been a starter and it killed me when I heard about his injury.Lyday is another great kid and I believe he will get plenty of playing time. My son likes him.
  18. Rocha, Padgett, Burditt, Henscey, Clifton, Peterson, Carmona, Baker, Ponder. These are the Seniors that have paid their dues. Next in line are the JV players from last year who have already been pulled up.Freshman get in line.
  19. Well I don't know Jack ....but last year we had the best team to ever walk across the diamond @ BH and we lost to GP? which was the final act of the stripping of confidence and removal of all chemistry and thus the mental game of baseball is completely lost on this day, with a long ride home to which the coaches will allow finger pointing and blame to run rampid through out the team. On that day when a great team loses to a pretty good team the coaches should take full responsibility of this loss ? If 90% of this game mental this district is terrible about building confidence. There should be no freshmen or sophomores on this team! This is the year of the seniors! a group of boys that have confidence and chemistry and have played together for many years. They have proved they can win big games together and have each others full support. So if we bust up this group with freshmen and put seniors on the bench this community once again has failed to put their best foot forward. So people can we just do the right thing and put the Seniors on the field for our school or is it just about your kid getting to play with the big boys? Freshmen you better hang on because you don't know Jack, but you are about to schooled on High School politics ....Unless you are a board member or school official?
  20. Rumor has it BH is having a tough time with third base. One of the dads said he witness a weakspot at the hot corner today. Someones Grandma with a laundry basket might could do better.
  21. It was the implication that BH can't go nowhere with out the "Big Four". But we are definitely going to miss the 'Big Four' and their sticks
  22. I heard Mitchel pitched well, Who else might step up. Ballard is trying out for third has anyone heard how he's doing. Are their anymore of the sophomores that might be pulled up.
  23. The Hill struggled last year out of district with the "Big Four" unless you count the first round buy.
