Central vs. Angleton Predictions?
-Central_Jaguars replied to KFDM COOP's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
82 5A State Champs: Thanks for the props and very true info. Central defense is the main reason they are where they are, don't want to take anything from the offense but they can become complacent. Angleton will face a defense they haven't seen quite like the Jags. Even the games they lost the defense was smacking QB's and RB's around pretty good. The offense seems to lose their focus at start of the 4th quarter for what ever reason and just break down the first 8 minuets and then the defense fights to try and give them a chance to win. If that offense fake that run when the other team is playing run and Central play action pass its touchdown all the time. They ran it the last few weeks and its paid big dividen for them. They have to keep doing it even when those guys have dropped many wide open great thrown passes. They can run the ball anytime they want because they can and will. Those young men have the talent and ability to be the surprise team of this year's playoff if they want it bad enough and I believe they do. This will not be a high scoring game but another 24-21 in favor of Central. I've stated at very beginning of the season that they have one of the best defenses since the 2003 squad. Good luck to Angleton but the Jags ready!!!!!! -

Central at Lumberton Predictions?
-Central_Jaguars replied to KFDM COOP's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
Central hasn't played a home game yet in which Nederland will be the first. And for ( Iwontsee) don't worry the jags won't take anyone likely not even the raiders, but you better believe that if there are some players playing with injuries and I mean something major it won't be a good thing when the jag defense get to them and thats real. -
I'm not saying its going to be easy, WB is a very talented team and that young man Michaels is an outstanding running back no question. With that being said and what I saw with Central defense its going to be a very interested game. WB is probably going to have the best offense in the area but the defense of WB has lots of holes in it and will be scored on easily. Jags fix offense questions, I have absolutely no doubt that they can win this game.

Ozen vs. Memorial Predictions?
-Central_Jaguars replied to KFDM COOP's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
I see now that you dont have to know the game to make comments on this forum... It doesnt matter who you have on your defense or how good your defense is, if you give an offense like WB and the #1 RB in the STATE of Texas that many opportunities heck if you have Ray Lewis on defense they will find a way to score. If you were at the game you would have seen that OZEN's offense gave WB the ball 8 times on turnovers and at no level in the history of the game has a team been successful when you give the other teams offense the ball that many times and keep your defense on the field for 85-90% of the time. Ozen will be alright as long as they can move the chains on offense... First of all I know alot about the game of football and will commit on this forum whether you like it not. 1. WB has a very good football team and the Panthers didn't give them anything they took what they wanted. 2. I didn't have to be a game to see what happen I watched it on TV, did the TV show something different than what happen at the game. 3. Turnovers are a part of the game so live with it. 4. Ozen defense did not stop anything period even if the ball wasn't a turn over. 5. and as far as your Ray Lewis comment you put him with the Jags defense and I bet you WB will hard time crossing that end zone line now deal with that. 6. Central lost the ball 4 times on offense. You're getting bent out of shape because thier deffense is not as stout as you want them to be. -
I believe that a lot of people are going to be very surprise of what they see in this game. WB on paper should win this game but thats why this game is played. I saw a very good Central defense in Port Arthur friday nite that made me think about the 03 defense team. Those young men were hitting and hitting very hard. There were no arm or hand tackling but wrap around bring down tackle. They will put be putting plenty of pressure on WB quarter back and it will be coming from all sides. Offense moves the ball well but for what ever reason they lose the ball without even getting hit and it will hurt them against WB. Defense wins games and I'm going with the upset of the week Central 24 WB 21

Ozen vs. Memorial Predictions?
-Central_Jaguars replied to KFDM COOP's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
You know I just had to post to Ozenfinest quote here when he says "yeah right ozens defense is stout and will be shutting anything down PAM can throw at them" Think about it everyone, how can you have a stout defense and give up 50 points just don't make any sense what so ever. If thats the case I saw PAM offense and defense and both played very well. PAM just ran into a very aggressive Jag defense that played 4 complete quarters. I also went home and watched Ozen/WB game and besides the opening drive, that was it . I saw absolutley no defense period and if PAM went home and watched the game I'm sure they saw the same thing. PAM 28 Ozen 10 -
You know I have stop posting on here for quite some time but always still get on and read some of the messages in which I only respond when I feel need to. Everyone will have opinions whether negative or positive but if someone knows what blows your steam then they will. Central will be just fine, even with the coaching changes that seems to somehow effect them every year. If you notice everytime Central has 2 to 3 good years what happens, another school dips into their coaching system and they have to build leadership again. When they brought Stowers in to replace Suggs they went out of south east texas to get him and he then brought his own staff and was very successful. So what happens, Ozen needs new HC and instead of going out of the area and bring one in they go to their cross town rival and get 4 of their 4 best coaches and Kelly get the their QB coach, so they have have a sub par year and everyone say whats wrong with Central like nothing happen. It would be nice for them to keep coaches for 10 years or more but that will never happen. Don't know where the new coaches they got came from but it just didn't work, hopefully after last season BISD let Stowers go out and bring some coaches of his choice but I doubt that happened. I have spoken with Stowers and there were changes made that will help with a successful year in which they will be very competitive. Good luck to both Central and Memorial. Central posters stay postive because they will have a winning season.

I was at both relays and I saw very well what happen at both, I just did not see them compete at all in any events in which Ozen and WB were also at both relays. I'm not putting them down I just know what I saw happening, maybe it was just 2 bad weekends. I will also be at baytown when they run to see changes this week.
-
I don't know about WOS but I finally got to see Central run the last 2 weekends and wasn't impressed at all, I kept hearing how good they were and when they came here to houston I decided to see for my self. At the Aldine relays they didn't place in any of the relays and only a couple of 3rd place finishes in individual events. At the TSU relays again nothing, only a 5th place finish in 4x100, I don't know if running only in golden triangle peps them up but here in houston I saw with my own eyes nothing. Maybe they sent the c squad or something.

****Neumann Stays At Nederland!****
-Central_Jaguars replied to KFDM COOP's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
Why would someone wish you lose your coach, a person would have to be the most selfish individual I know. I would hope that every Jaguar fan would love the best any school threw at them and that includes coaches, players, cheerleaders, dancers, the band and every fan. The only thing I hope is that we beat everyone we play no matter who's coaching. Hate to see him leave if he does, Nederland needs to be preparing and have their interviews going to start getting thier coach's in place and be ready for the upcoming season because sitting around waiting to see what happens won't do it. I don't know it works but I don't think you have to wait until you lose your caoch. -
Well I can give you one example of the lack of "Football smarts" all the senseless penalties and thugerry(is that a word?) committed in the Lumberton LaMarque playoff game. Come on now Admin and moderators, you have really got to controll statements and opinions made on this board that has absolutly no place on this forum. I know everyone has the right of free speech but somtimes things are better left unsaid. I know this individual is trying to express his or her feelings but lets not undermind the character of others, Since no one will first correct this person and inform him or her that the above word used to describe a situation is definitly not a word and is certainly not a penalty in the sport of football or any other sports I know. How do we expect others to be fair and balanced when someone is trying to demeanor another program without cause, It should not be accepted here or elsewhere as far as I am concern, PLEASE BE RESPECTIVE OF OTHERS.....
-
Neuman would be a great fit for the LaMarque program because of his great credentials and what he could do to bring out the best in every player he has. There's not a coaching job in the state of texas he could not handle regardless of the high profile situation it may be. Even I would hate to see Nederland lose a great coach but things happens. One thing I do hope is that Nederland do not go thru and that is the same thing Central did and that is lose more than Neumann as a coach. If you don't think losing at least 4 of your top coaches like they did and you still expect to have a great season good luck. If Neumann gets the job and he then put together his best stafff possible look for more than him to leave because he will take the best of the rest with him, leaving Nederland with choosing a new staff and finding the other coaches to guide their staff and those young men will not be easy. It will definetly show up when the season start as did Central. It wasn't talent that they did not compete but the lost of several good top coaches and the communication and adjustments was just not there. You can have the best of all talent but if the best coaches are not in the proper position you will see it. Good luck to Mr. Nuemann and the Nederland community and hope that all the right decisions are made for the best to their fine program. LaMarque just want you guys to know that you will not go wrong in choosing Neumann or any top coach thats out there.

What team Was The Biggest Dissapointment This Year?
-Central_Jaguars replied to a topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
It would be very easy for most posters or even Jagaurs fans to say that the they were dissappointing team in 22-4a in which know seems to see the reason why they played so poorly this year. There's not a school in the area that lost 5 of their best coach's in the program in which 4 went to Ozen and 1 to Kelly and then throw 5 in on Stowers that he didn't choose becuase all his staff he bought in went to Ozen and then everyone expected then to suceed in a very tought district is impossible. All you had to do was watch the very first game and see there was no displicine, there was no leadership, the communication between players and coachs was horrible. It looked liked Stowers was teaching the coach's on how to coach football and the kids did not follow. They looked totatly lost on offense and defense and was just playing enough to get by. I don't care who you are and some of the best talent in the area, you will not win with some thrown in coach's after losing that many very good coach's. I don't blame Stower's for wanting to leave and go eslewhere after BISD broke up what he put together. I just can not believe that all great coachs in the state of texas your main rival went 15 minuets across town and pulled a good chunk of your coachs. They will rebuilt again, and hopefully they will let Stowers go out and get his choice of staff to bring back and get the program back to competing. Stay strong Jaguars we've been there before. -

I've been watching the young man for a few years now in which he play with my nephew and I was told that Boutte was going after him but also know that BISD has already past the zoning of Austin kids now has to go to West Brook. -

Execelent wite on behalf of both men and to know Ex athletes take time out to mentor young students and in return the students sit and really listen to what they have to say, Even though I know it goes on its just really nice to read about it and also the story on Michael Mosley was also inspiring to hear, so good luck to both young men and their bright futures...
