EC also has to score more points than Diboll to win.

In the NCAA, you shoot the 2 FT for T, then shoot the 2 FT for shooting foul with a live lane -

It wasn't his mouth that got him the T, it was throwing the ball back at Silsbee player after the whistle for the foul. -

I agree with you that the refs did a good job of managing a very intense gym, crowd and teams. I also thought the ref that called the tech looked like he was mad and it was personal -

22-4A Exec Committee Decision
The Cook replied to SportsJunkie32's topic in High School Boys Basketball
I don't know where the 3 on 3 myth came from. Check the game tape......all bench personnel leave the team area & all 10 players participate in the altercation. The only players eligible to continue to participate post fight are any of the 10 that were on floor at the time of the fight AND do not engage which there clearly are none. The ruling from the committee is the same as the UIL committee would have found if it were to go that far. -

I agree 100%. I was speaking directly to the 17-1 foul reference though. -

No problem. Just didn't want to fan the flames of an already raging fire. -

I know for a fact that the officiating crew last night was assigned by the UIL office in Austin......not either of the 2 groups involved in the fray. Sorry AAW but sunshine is the best disinfectant! -

With the blocked shot happening before the contact, unless the contact is intentional or flagrant, the contact is incidental thus ignored. -

That's the biggest point of all at the end. As in this Silsbee play, Lead official should NEVER rule on goaltending/basket interference from behind the backboard. Great job Lazeek, should I forward you the registration forms for officiating...as illustrated, we take all comers -

No sir. Think of this.. free throw hits rim=legal. Free throw hits backboard only=illegal. -

Guys, I must insert myself into this discussion about the ball hitting the backboard. It looks like it did in the video....but it makes no difference whether it did or didn't hit backboard. The only criteria for goaltending is if the ball is on its downward flight ONLY. You guys are citing an NBA rule but NCAA & HS it is not. My 2 cents. -

It looks like y'all had enough on the jv.
2A ball typically does not have Freshman teams, so few opponents would be available thru the year. Keep in mind the size difference between H-F and EC.
I don't blame them, I wouldn't want to play our freshman either, "them boys be ballers". 8) :D
From the looks of Friday night's score, maybe ya'll should have moved the "ballers" up to play on the varsity!!!!!!!

I ask this not in jest but would really like to know. Also, I believe each chapter has good and bad officials. Seen enough of each chapter over the past few years to come to that conclusion.
