[/quote] WHSalum, before they went to this "crew" crap instead of individual officals on their own merit, there were some good officials from right here in Bmt area (Eddie King, Greg Garrett, Kelly Touchet) that did top notch work @ the boys state tourney (or one of them may have been in the girls instead). I think they worked the 5A final on TV also if I remember right. Now with crews, there is 1 good official & 2 drag-alongs and it doesn't do the teams in the tourney justice. I think the UIL is headed in the wrong direction.

If this format passes the litmus test in the 3a district then I would say shorten the length of quarters on the sub-v games. Playing 6 min quarters give teams 24 minutes to figure out a winner....that's plenty time. And I have a sub-v player on a local team & I have no problems with it.

I had EC +12, haven't heard what went wrong for them but C-ville was supposed to be very good. I would have thought that the triumvirate ( Carrington, Way, McDonald ) could've pull them through these type of games. This may have been EC's year but at least they have Carrington & Way coming back with underclass help from George & East so they should still be competitive.

It is an NCAA mandatory 1 game suspension or more depending on the severity of the action.
