I don't understand why you keep comparing Jasper to those others. The question was about for 10 years all teams had success now they don't. Compare Jasper to Jasper.

Great playoff run, no doubt. They did make the 3rd round(1 less) 4 of the previous 10 years, only one first round loss. 6 district championships and 4 second place. The only 4 years Carthage was in the same district. So no, I'm not sure it does make sense.

During the previous regime, only 12 teams missed the playoffs in 10 years. Last year only 3 of 8 made the playoffs and this year only Football made it. 4 times all 8 made playoffs. 5 if you include COVID year. I worked with Coach Crumedy for several weeks in the spring of 22 when he first got the job. I am sure he will get this turned around, unless they are losing kids.

It is not just baseball. Unless softball or baseball makes the playoffs, Football will be the only team to make the playoffs. I believe only Football and the two basketball squads made the playoffs last year. I am not there, so I do not know what is happening.

I know that most of the time when a team loses, the fans usually blame the coach. I have no problem with that. That's what we get paid for. However, Did Belichick all of a sudden forget how to coach? Closer to home. An area coach, who I KNOW is a heck of a coach had a stretch where his teams were 35 - 15 and each team played multiple rounds in the playoffs. They all had District MVP's on them and D1 Players. He did not forget how to coach. The other years the record has been 14 - 43. I will always believe that both are vital to long term success, but I lean on the side of having the Larry's and Joe's. I say 75 - 25.
