We are going to win both of the next two games and Vidor wins both of theirs and 4 teams finish 3-4. if that happens vidor would be 1-2 against these 3 teams Nederland would be 1-2 PNG would be 2-1 Lumberton 2-1. I guess we are not mathmatically elimnated yet! I know what you are thinking!! We can't even beat Ozen, how are we going to beat LCM and Nederland? WELL! That's the coaches job. I just talk smack! He has to get the boys ready to play!!! GOOD LUCK To all!!!

What if there is a three way tie in 22-4a?
raidernation replied to FootballSETXfan's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
The point system is a +/- 14 points. Here's a scenario for you. Not likely, but possible: Lumberton wins against LCM and Nederland finishing 3-4 - not likely considering we couldn't beat ozen :x . LCM Splits against Lumberton and Vidor finishing 3-4 or Vidor wins against Ozen and LCM finishing 3-4 PNG loses against Central and Dayton finishing 3-4. Nederland loses against Dayton and Lumberton finishing 3-4. Lumberton would be 2-1 against these 3 teams. LCM would be 1-2 against these 3 teams or Vidor would be 1-2 against these teams PNG would be 1-2 against these 3 teams. Nederland would be 2-1 against these 3 teams. In this scenario it would be between Nederland and Lumberton. Would this then go to point system among common opponents or does the head-to-head between Lumberton and Nederland come into play? -
Who Will Take the Third Spot in 22-4A???
raidernation replied to GoDogs27's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
The Raiders are not done yet! I like our chances. We should win tonight. We matchup well against LCM as they do not have an oustanding running game and we get Nederland after they play Dayton. Mosely is the best back around but he will be black and blue when that game is done. He averages 26 carry's per game and Dayton hits harder than any team in 22-4a! Nothing would make me happier than to go into mid county and have the Raiders beat the bull pups!!! -
Best QBs in 22-4a? Updated Passing Leaders

LCM had 11 yards passing against Dayton. That is not passing very well. That is terrible!! The Bears averaged 1 yard per pass attempt! -

DeJohn was actually 10-17-1-0-72 against Dayton. One was a halfback toss which was intercepted. Does anybody know if head-to-head matchup is considered in the tie-breaker for the playoffs? If two teams finish 4-3 does the winner of the game between these two teams get the playoff spot or is the point differential system used? Here's a scenario: Lumberton wins the rest of their games. LCM goes 2-1 in the rest of their games losing to Lumberton. Both teams will be 4-3 and Lumberton has won the head-to-head. Is Lumberton in or is it based on the 14 point differential system? I am just curious and am not saying Lumberton WILL win all three games; although, i do like our chances.

It tastes like CHICKEN! But, the odd thing is that we still have a better chance of making the playoffs then you guys. Good luck with Vidor, Central and Dayton!!! You are going to need it! -
District 22-4A Playoff Scenarios... *Updated 11/3**
raidernation replied to GoDogs27's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
I like my Raiders chances. 8) I think it will come down to the final game in Nederland. I think we beat Ozen this week, find a way to beat LCM in Lumberton, and then try to stop Mosely for our first ever playoff spot. If our run defense tackles the way it has all year, then we miss out on another great opportunity and will be watching someone else in the playoffs. -

I hope not another one of those games. If so, I have no doubt #7 and our offense can get it done for us :!: -
Class 4A Stat Leaders
raidernation replied to Nederlandbulldogs#1's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
I agree with you BH89. Patton has done great. Our QB, Bryce DeJohn, has had a really good year and Patton has slightly better stats. These two guys are both very efficient QB's. Bryce is only a junior so he will have another year. -

This is a battle of teams heading in different directions. PNG is on thier way down to a 1-6 or 2-5 district record and Lumberton on thier way up to hopefully a 5-2 or 4-3 finish. PNG finishes with Dayton and Central. If this game is close I will be surprised and disappointed in my Raiders. But, as long as we win i will take it . -
Class 4A Stat Leaders
raidernation replied to Nederlandbulldogs#1's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
This stat is a little confusing because a key field is missing. It is actually sorted by number of catches, which is not one of the stats listed. Divide yards by avg catch to get # of catches. McLaren has 39 catches at the top and Dickerson has 17 catches at the bottom. I was trying to figure out why Lumberton's Hussey and Garza were not listed and it is because they have 16 and 15 catches, respectively. Hussey 16 211 13.2 2 Garza 15 221 14.7 2 -
Here are the updated defensive stat totals with the exception of the kirbyville vs OF game. I couldn't find the stats for that one. --------------------rush-pass-total 1. I think the winner of the LCM vs Lumberton game will take third place. I am glad we host that game.

PN-G @ Lumberton Predictions

Lumberton will bounce back with a big win against the Indians. I don't think PNG's offense or defense is nearly as good as Centrals. I think DeJohn, Hussey and Hanna all have big games and our defense will hold them to less than 200 yards total. Raiders by at least 14, probably more! -
Central 22 Lumberton 14 Final/Comments
raidernation replied to lonestar's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
What a game! Congratulations to both the Jags and the Raiders for an exciting Friday night. We came up just a little short. I thought if we kept it close we would make a game of it in the 4th quarter and that's just what happened. Williams was as good as he's advertised. What an athlete. I could see why some compare him to Vince Young. He's smooth, has a great stiff arm and fast!!!! This game was more than just a "L" to the Raiders. It was a confidence builder and proof that we can play with the big boys. I also think we EARNED a little respect around the district and these boys deserve it. I love the "never say die" attitude the Raiders have been playing with. I hear #44's back for the indian game so our run defense will improve dramatically. One last thing on this game, the half time show was very entertaining. Bring it on indians!!!! We'll be ready!! -
Lumberton at Central Predictions
raidernation replied to Bobcatfan4life's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
MAN! I hop it's not another one of those nights :? I really think we will keep it a ball game. If were close in the 4th i think the Raiders pull off a dramatic upset. The Raiders will have to put some points on the board to keep up with the Jags high powered offense. This will be another good test for our boys. We have avergaed about 25 points a game. We will have to do better than that to win. Raiders 38-35 (wishful thinkin') -
Everybody keeps stats for the whole year so that's how i am doing it. The Jones game is listed on the chronicles website but says they had a total of 2 yards. Is that correct? If so, i don't want to hear anymore about who Lumberton played in the preseason. Jones must be worse than NC or Cleveland. If you can get the stats i would be more than happy to include them.

Lumberton at Central Predictions
raidernation replied to Bobcatfan4life's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
Those 306 yards given up to Vidor certainly wasn't because of Vidors speed. It was because our defense doesn't tackle well. Most of those yards were gained after the runner was first hit by a defender. WAY TOO MANY MISSED TACKLES!!! -
piratefan - if you have the stats (both rushing and passing) for the Jones game post them and i will include them in the totals. The only reason i excluded them is because i can't find them online. Same for the LCM Kashmere game. Thanks for your help.
