[/quote] yes but the more punches thrown at mayweather the more opportunities he gets to do what he does best - counter.  That's why he makes people throw less than they normally would against other fighters because he counters them so well. The question in this fight is will Pac be able to hurt mayweather and sustain his work rate he normally has in fights without getting effectively countered.  If Mosley can hurt Mayweather so can Pac, but I could see Pac getting caught coming in if he tries to be aggressive and getting hurt

there was more to it than speeds it was skills ring smarts accuracy and timing, mayweather was more mentally composed than mosley there wasnt a huge disparity than speed speed is only one small aspect of boxing that can easily be neutralized. mayweather is a great fighter

No surprise with this one except the 2nd round when mayweather was hurt.  I think pacman could possibly hurt him, and if he can he'd do a better job at sustaining his attack than the 38 year old Mosely did.  Interesting fight that NEEDS to happen!!!

I think he's stretching and exaggerating it like any promoter in this business does.  It wont do 4 million but it could definitely break some records  8) just imagine what mayweather-pac would do

^^^you're not realizing that many of boxing's big fights aren't even on pay per view, and even still regardless of how good UFC's drawing power is, how can you make sarcastic remarks like "they still have boxing?" and pretend like its dead when They are producing the top draws of the year. You may or may not like it but it's far from dead

You just illustrated my point yourself ;D If Toney isn't disciplined enough for boxing which hes been doing for years, then how in the world can anyone  take him serious that hes going to train and get ready for MMA, a sport in which he's never done before so there is a learning curve.

The only time he faced a contender, sam peter, he lost.  Plus, if you saw the oquendo fight you would know he should have lost that one too. He looks horrible even when he wins these days.  Not to mention, he's been caught with steroids twice and thats just when he's been caught.  Who knows how many fights he's actually cheated in. Toney's not a serious threat at heavyweight, and nobody wants to watch him box anymore.  He's done.

props to mayweather if he takes this fight even though i think the whole blood testing thing was ridiculous this is still a good fight, although the winner of this vs the winner of pac-clottey MUST happen! I think mayweather takes this fight, mosely has problems with good defensive fighters, and he hasn't fought in a year combine that with his age and he could be rusty.  Gotta be sharp when u fight mayweather, he's not a plodder like margarito

Thats right - unlike Pac Mosely HAS taken performance enhancing drugs , will mayweather demand a blood test in that one?  doubtful, he just flat out avoided pacman!  However, this fight is so big if mayweather and pac both win it will be even bigger and hopefully happen down the road.  Thing is clottey and mosely are both tough fights and you know how boxng goes anything can happen so now there is no guarantee they will both win and fight each other Plus Mosely and Berto is a tossup fight in itself, that one will be interesting and I'm excited to see it!

SOME mma fans who were never into combat sports before mma became popular, and also members of the media are clueless when it comes to boxing. I've learned to ignore the ignorance of the media and mma fanboys and just enjoy the great fights and fighters that boxing has always and continues to put out. watching pacquiao is like watching history in the making, and i wont miss pacman-mayweather for NOTHING!  this, to me, is like the rumble in the jungle or thrilla in manilla of my generation!

pacquiao is without a doubt fighter of the decade and one of the all time greats with this win last weekends fight was truly a showcase and people watching witnessed greatness. Pacquiao is a beast! It's truly astonishing how he still carries his power up through the weights. no other fighter has done this on a side note DALLAS STADIUM WOULD BE AWESOME FOR MAYWEATHER-PACMAN but i think its more likely to happen in vegas or LA

Yeah taylor's fight was a pretty good knock out I saw that one coming I figured if it was a KO it would be late as usual and I also thought Dirrell won, Froch definitely lost the championship rounds thats for sure as for taylor it could be numerous reasons or a combination of reasons. who knows though maybe it's a lack of mental fortitude or maybe a lack of conditioning or a combination of both boxing is definitely a mental sport though and some guys dont have the mental make up to go 12 rounds maybe taylor doesnt have it who knows?
