  1. Lol yes it is. Becoming just another suburb of DFW unfortunately. I do think their enrollment numbers are legit, but they may be 5A in two realignments. Kind of following the path of Argyle.
  2. Decatur beat LaVega last night 53-41 for their first state championship in girls basketball. Won state in volleyball this year with only one girl playing both sports. They will be even better next year. Return everyone and then some.
  3. I’ve seen Paradise play twice this year, and am a little surprised they got this far. Kudos to them though. Think Kountze has the edge here.
  4. I’m sure Burkburnett needed to fill a spot and WH probably needed a tournament, but man that’s just not a good mix. There had to be other options. Don’t see anything beneficial to this.
  5. Thinking the 4 sisters who transferred from Southlake Carroll are probably regretting that decision now.
  6. Bristow transferred in from WF Rider last year. As did his sister, who led Holliday to the state title last year. She’s playing at Iowa State now.
  7. “He could take his’n and beat your’n, then take your’n and beat his’n.” Congrats Coach!
  8. 10-4. Seemed unlikely, but the Dallas paper even posted it.
  9. #1 Dallas Madison lost to Pilot Point, according to Maxpreps.
  10. 2001-2002 Regional Tourney in then Class 2A 2002-2003 Moved up to then Class 3A and finished 3rd in district behind Kountze, HJ 2003-2004 Finished 3rd in District behind Kountze, HJ cant speak on the state of the program before he got there.
  11. The Great James Madison. Seriously.
  12. Score so far is kind of surprising. Thought Graford would beat them fairly comfortably.
  13. There seems to be a lot of excuses being made. I’m sorry, but when you have the #1 recruit in Texas (McDonald’s All American) on a 4A team who is not devoid of talent besides her and you don’t win State at least once in 4 years, there is blame to go around. HJ was easily the most talented 4A team in State the last two years. Should have won last year, and most definitely should have won this year especially after slaying Argyle. Not implying it’s all on the coaches because kids have to perform in crunch time. But that staff will be wondering how they let it slip away for years to come.
  14. Pretty much agree with everything you said. I’m not saying B’boro can’t make a game of it, but it’s unlikely. The state championship was decided today.
  15. Nah, I’m pretty comfortable with my assessment. Doesn’t matter. Congrats to the HJ
