Barbays should battle for the district title based on what's returning for next season...however, wins over EC & Woodville won't come easy!

Should be interesting...Barbay vs. Barbay to say the least.  It's an 8 team district, which I don't like cause there's not much of a preseason, however, should be one of the toughest 2A districts in the state....the 2 teams to emerge should be battle-tested.  My guess as of now is Anahuac & Newton, but anything can happen on any given night, eh neighbor?

[/quote] We knew Anahuac had a pretty good football team, but no doubt in my mind Kirbyville was going to send yall home for the second year in a row. Next year won't get any easier for your Panthers to overcome the second round of the playoffs as long as Kirbyville in the mix. Your team just got beat fair and square and you want to say its because your offense was no good...I believe the correct response would be that our defense was BETTER!!! Umm...not sure!  Apparently we were a lot better than Kville thought, and if we had won what would the wildcats predict for us against Arp?  With that being said... Kirbyville -- 30 Arp -- 14

23AA and 22AA aren't separated by much...from what I saw tonight - besides the newton/buna game!

[/quote] I assumed we would lose this game, but if we had any type of offense tonight we could've possibly pulled an upset.  I'd like to credit Kvilles defense, but I've witnessed our "unpolished" offense all season, so I can't give credit to the Wildcats for our misfortunes.  Very clean game...probably should have been 7-7 at halftime....but it wasn't.  Haven't seen Braxton throw a pass all season...he throws a duck and it gets picked.  There's no doubt we had 'em a little deflated, but can't cry over spilled milk.

In no way does 28-6 reflect how close this game really was, only real big play was the 55yd td pass.  I couldn't have asked our defense to play any better than they did for 48 minutes against a team that averages over 40pts a game.  Our offense stunk it up...Childress right, Childress left ??? :-\  ???   Down by 7 at the half,...thought we would open it up a little more, but I'm gonna zip my lip.  Our defense deserved better play from our offense, PERIOD!   Congratz to K'ville and good luck next week
