We all seem to forget that 22AA is God's gift to Texas HS Football.  EagleFan01...while EC didn't beat your team, they basically played with you for 3 qtrs, only the 3rd qtr is where they seemed to let a few big plays happen - but it was 12-7 @ the break...with that being said, Woodville while fast will have to deal with the Bucs ball control strategy & stout D, and it will get the better of them.   Bouillon, Jones & Co. too much for these Eagles!

Per the topic I'd say Anahuac has a better shot at beating K'ville than Buna defeating Newton, not that it's likely for either 23AA to accomplish this task! But, stranger things have happened!  Good luck to all!

[/quote] Is this a joke K-ville Newton Jasper Silsbee WOS all have far more speed than Anahuac could ever dream of [/quote] Individually, we have just as much speed - what we lack is team speed, which is what the schools listed above have mixed with solid execution.  There is a difference!  If we break one tonight, I don't see us getting caught from behind, but being able to break one is the issue.  Ex:  Put D. Childress, T. Thomas or J. Albritton behind Kvilles line and you would see stats like Ford's.  I'm not even sure if Albritton is playing tonight, ankle still tweaked and he's just a soph., so coaches might be saving him for the next 2 years - who knows!

[/quote] Yes, we haven't played a team as talented as Kville, but watching the Panthers all season it's been very obvious and disturbing to me that we haven't played up to our potential and just haven't seemed hungry if you catch my drift - this may be our last chance!  Our defense has played "bend but don't break" all season and haven't given up many points, this should be a much harder task though.  I cannot say that y'all have better RB's 'cause I know we are just as talented at that position...the difference between our squads thus far is in the trenches.  Our O and D line just aren't nearly as polished and if you can't create gaps, you can't go anywhere.  By no means am I saying your D wouldn't have something to do with that, I'm just saying I've seen it all season without playing you guys and it wouldn't be anything new for our offense to stall.  Nothing would make me happier than for everything to come together tonight, I just don't want to see 3 or 4 onside kicks again!!!  :-\

There's no doubt we are fast, but Kirbyville is just as fast if not faster, especially with their overall team speed.  Believe me, I'd like to see my Panthers end Kville's season with an upset, and it would be awesome to see a 28-21 score, no matter which team is victorious! Should be a wet and slippery night, so who knows what will happen on the field - at least it won't be muddy out there! Good luck to the Wildcats and safe travel for fans on both sides!

I will be rooting for my Panthers to upset Kirbyville...they will have to play their best game of the season to beat them, but if I were a betting man, I'd put $$ on the Wildcats.  C'mon Panthers, prove me wrong and pull the upset of the year!

Don't know why Albritton didn't play, but I can only assume it was to rest him for next week!  Barbay seemed to stay pretty conservative tonight, hopefully we will come out on fire next week! Congratz on the win AP!

Woodville is definitely not better than us, EC or Buna - so let's at least get that out of the way.  Now everyone knows it would be a difficult task to beat Newton or Kirbyville, but anything can happen on any given day - players still have to strap 'em on and make plays.

Negativity and predictions are 2 different things.  I actually thought yall would score more, and us likewise.  Panthers came out probably as flat as I've seen them all year on offense, not that Bouillion didn't play some role in that.  We could play this game another 9 times and I still wouldn't put money on the Bucs, and that's no ill-will towards you guys...we definitely have the better squad, y'all just happened to be better on that night.  Hank may have gotten his yards, but it was our offense that didn't show up and you could tell from before opening kickoff when they ran ([u]walked[/u]) thru the panther tunnel that overconfidence was about to get the best of them.  Congrats to my neighbors again on the victory....I think ya'll are still more shocked that you won more than Anahuac is of losing that game, but bragging rights for a year is all you get! Maybe giftwrapped was a little harsh - ease up on the video posts and the disrespecting of district teams and I'll refrain from such remarks. Note to coach Barbay:  DO NOT schedule district rival games after a bye week
