Vidors wins came against an 0-3 kelly who lost to Hitchcock 2A and St Thomas who looked like a JV team and i was there 12-10 at halftime and still only ended 26-10. I saw that game and Vidor struggled through much of the game to stop them.

And all the people who predicted LCM to make the playoffs were very mistaken. Also if u read my post I said alot of people predicted them to make the playoffs. But you going Neutral was probably a good Idea since you run the site

Buc you do realize Lumberton pays teachers the least of everyone in the district right? actually most schools in the area pay more than Lumberton. Also the athletic budget at Lumberton is less than anyone in the district. PNG and Nederland's budget is more than double Lumbertons. atleast last year it was. The field house was built in the 1970s........... should I go on?

only time I saw Coop make a prediction was last year before the season. He said LCM would make the playoffs. He wasnt the only one but I think he decided to act more like Switzerland after that.

There is another 3A lineman from Gilmer who is a backup at UT right now as a true freshman last name is Snow. I would guess this guy is better too.

Kids mess up alot. I cant believe you said they are only doing what they are told. You know how often kids dont blitz when they are suppose too? Or they run the wrong coverage or bust a coverage? Early in the season it happens alot. I dont know what you do for a living but get some kids who are 15-18 to do your job and you have to stand about 30 yards away from them with about 10,000 people screaming behind you. Do you think they might mess up? Have you ever had a conversation with a kid in that age range? Do they seem real focused? How about 40 or 50 kids? And dont say you were the greatest little league coach since Vince Lombardi. Plus Gilmer has more talent than Jasper does and Kirbyville is around the same talent range plus its a rivarly game so that changes things. Nac has around 1800 kids maybe more and they have some talent too.

Hooks hasnt called plays in years. I know some of the coaches over there. Brooks and the other Jasper Coaches are fine. But if you have such a problem with them then go get certified and show them whos boss.

They ran it a few times last year. Different schools call it different things. I was at a place and the coach called it the Duck formation and we would run quick screens, quick passes and a few runs but we were a no huddle team so it was ment to confuse the other team.

aTm wont be trampling anyone for awhile. Their talent pool is very shallow right now and the recruiting is not doing well.

Scooter you need to do your reading. Your a good poster but right now UT has alot of problems at Tailback. they havent had a run from the Tailback position over 16 yards against Rice, UTEP and FAU. Colt McCoy is the leading rusher. and its looking more like Chris Whatley will grow out of the Tailback position like Henry Melton did. Right now he is 6'3" 233 and alot of people are saying hes a great talent but not a tailback. On the roster they have Fozzy Whittacter (however you spell it) who has had 2 minor knee injuries this year. Cody Johnson who is 6'1" 260 and looks good but not a game breaker. Vondrell Mcgee who hasnt played well this year and the 2 freshman Trey Newton and Jeremy Hills who are not big time talents like Micheals is considered. Westend1... akiman isnt wrong, Michaels at the moment does not hold Offers from LSU, UT, or OU. LSU just made the decision yesterday not to offer Micheals. Their are also rumors that Florida's offer doesnt stand anymore. UT from what I understand flirted with the idea early in the recruiting process but decided Whatly was their guy for 09 and look to take 2 in 2010. OU is rumored to be slow playing Micheals but no one really knows if they are gonna offer because they have a back they like commited already. I think UT should offer him but I dont work their. You can count on one hand how many backs the size of Whatly are walking around.

akifan is right the big three (OU,UT,LSU) in this area looks to not be offering him. Ive heard nothing but good things about the kids. Just curious why not one of them has offered. I would love it if Texas did offer considering their problems at RB

lol guys Get realalistic. If these guys are getting full rides from Major D-1 programs then why would they transfer back to Lamar? Its gonna be years before Lamar will be competitive. They are playing schools in the Southland Conference who have been successful for alongtime.They are not like Southeastern Louisana who got Hal Mumme to coach them for a few years. Lamar is gonna have to find players who have been overlooked or dont wanna leave home. Even schools like aTm Kingsville are more appealing at the moment.

One or Both Chavis's went to Navaroo JC well atleast double signed with them and aTm but ethier way they will have better options than Lamar.

Schicknider from PNG is at Texas State. so unless he doesnt do well there i dont see him leaving.

I dont see him leaving Kingsville for Lamar. At one point Kingsville put more pros in the NFL then alot of D1 schools. Still a pretty good place to go play.
