the Lumberton coaches will make the right decision on whoever they decide will be the QB. Coach Creadur and Staff will not play favorites so I trust in whatever decision they make and me nore anyother fan should question whoever they decide to be the starter.

Lumbertons 7th grade beat LC 7th grade 40-0 last year and went undefeated

Its not the Longhorn future signees. The website was once called Lone Star Recruiting and was run by Geoff Ketchum. Rivals bought the site and the rites to the name so the still call it the LSR 100

Lumberton- its ethier gonna be Sophmore Ryan Hughes or Senior Kendall Duvall.

Duvall has been the back up the past 2 years but is so important to the defense that if its close im gonna guess they will go will Hughes.

Hughes might be young but is very polished, makes really good decisions and has a very good arm. During the summer he really made great strides as a QB but as always it will come down to who plays best with pads on.

actually the 55-7 whipping yall game us made the 8-7 win that much better. to Lumberton it ment that we had gotten that much better from the year before. Dayton is a great program and anytime you can beat them on an avg year you have done something speacial.

Horns r #1..... I Love that statement!!!! Last year during the Waller game there was some guy dogging the Coaches because they lost to Waller. You would think after an 11-2 season where you make the playoffs for the first time the fans would be more respectful

ok so why should I mark your word? give some reasons and they have to be good ones not because you said so or because last season was a fluke because football is to physical for flukes to happen. flukes happen in poker not football. but since this is a debate come with reasons why Lumberton will not make the playoffs.

Like here is my reasoning why they will.

#1 Our defensive front 7. 3 out of the 4 D-linemen returning and at LB Anthony Beard was that good for us last year that I think we will still be very good. Plus moving to the 4-3 was a great move by the coaches.

#2 OL Kyle Gilliam and Hunter Howden were the 2 best players from last year OL and they are coming back. Also Matt Burkhalter started the last 4 games as a Blocking TE in our 2 tight set which he got around 40 snaps a game in those last 4 and plus hes probably the strongest of all the linemen and is a brain child. That leaves the 2 Guard positions open and the likely candidates are Seth Cook who might be the best athlete of all the linemen and played in 4 games as a sophmore last season. Hunter Grillo who is simalar to Cook played in 4 games on varsity and Joey Swetland who has had a fantastic offseason and has become one of the stronger linemen. They could make this a better guard combo that last seasons 2. look for the OL to be better.

#3 Running Backs!!! we have had a run the last 4 years with a Stud in each class and it Started with Hussey. Hanna is gonna be the man replacing him and is a better athlete and is bigger and stronger. at 6' 212 right now he ran a 4.59 at the ULL football camp and has had some fantastic rushing performances in his career already. Sophmore year 24 carries 135 yards 2 TDs against Nederland when Hussey was out. Bridge City 2 carries for 102 yards and 2 TDs and yes I mean 2 carries. Anthony Beard and Ryan Asher will also get some carries at fullback and tailback and both are very Talented.

#4 the Coaches at Lumberton have really done a fantastic job the last 3 years with getting this programed turned around and the kids are starting to really bring that confidence to the field. The Dayton game last year was a masterful game plan and that win might have been the biggest in school history and really pushed them to the 11-2 season. This season will be no different as the coaches really do a great job adjusting to the players they have.

I'm not saying Lumberton will win every game or every year but I'm saying things are better and that this team has a decent amount of talent and I could see them having a very succesful season.

well I know yall are considering switching from the wing T to the pistol offense and I know yall would have been alot better with yalls head coaches son who played at Brenham last year and is now headed to aTm. Yall also ran a reverse pass against Lumberton on the first play of the scrimmage last year and Anthony Beard was playing safety at the time and didnt make his read correctly and came screaming down hill. Lumberton made the adjustment after that scrimmage to move him to MLB. Yall run a 4-2-5 on defense but I heard that Coach Richards will not be coaching the Defense anymore. And yes I did play football.

My point is HF and Lumberton scrimmaged last year. Scrimmages are just practices and its what you do during the regular season that counts

Lumbertons 8th grade group didnt lose any lineman that is the fresh group. The group of 8th graders only lost one game in the STJFL and that was too WOS in the super bowl. They had beatin that team earlier in the year. Look for Lumbertons 7th grad group to be very strong also.

well that was a scrimmage if i remeber correctly and after the scrimmages Lumberton went 11-2 and beat teams like Dayton, Nederland, Central, Ozen, LaMarqe and Smiley. So I'm glad u enjoyed the scrimmage last year but thats all it was. Yall didnt even make the playoffs.

Sorry I'm not a Nederland fan but when you return the bulk of an offense that was one of the better ones in the district, then you should be one of the better teams. They have Bellows QB, Cardansas, Brady and Selenga a WR their OL wasnt very good last year but they will be better. I still dont think they will run the ball all that well but I think they will throw like a champ.

Look at them like you look at Lumberton last year. Lumberton returned the bulk of their OL, their QB and 3 RBs that were very good. the key for Lumberton was the vastly improved Defense and thats gonna be the deference for Nederland this year. They have to find a way to slow down the opposing team but on offense they should be very potent.

I wanna say the Daigle kid from last year? might have got the name wrong but I believe hes coming back.

those West Brook teams were not very good and you were in a district with Silsbee, Jasper, Vidor, Lumberton, Livingston

Ozen lost its DC to converse judson. their LB coach isnt there anymore and the OL coach is now the DC and they lost the HUGE DT who gave everybody so many problems and kept the OL off the LBs and Ozens underlevels were very bad so I just dont see them being very good. also on another note why would you dog teams that were alot better than you last year ozensfinist? you talk like a 12 year old

Hanna will be the starting RB probably getting around 20 to 25 touches a game. Beard will get some spot duty and get around 10-15 touches and sophmore Ryan Asher will get around 5 toughs a game in spot duty to give the others a break. This is what will probably happen

last year at a lumberton game the ref ran into a camera man and lumberton got a 15 yard penalty. we had it on tape it was pretty funny

There is not one school that uses "chop blocking" as part of their scheme. Thats like saying the head coach of the program is trying to hurt the other team.
