Better athlete of the two is Ryan Hughes hands down. Brennan Doty is the better QB easy. -
Hard too tell much from a spring game we did learn a few things about the new personell none that i will share on this board. The Livingston Lions will pound the rock, be well coached, and will play every snap. As for PNG proud look buddy little ole Livingston that hadn't been to the playoffs since the sixties came down to mighty PNG ruined the opening of the new reservation a couple of years ago or have you forgotten about that already we are 1-1 against the big bad Indians since coach Rowe has been here so I wouldn't brag too much!!!!!!!!
Ohh, so we now changed it to Best Offense and Defense... :D :D Ok. PN-G will have the best offense, but barely though. Like SASQUASH22 said, Harmon will need to be replaced, which I don't think they will. That kid was pretty good. Offense will be: 1. PN-G - Second year under that system. Exited to see how it will look! 2. Livingston - Since they have been in the district, they have had not many problems moving the ball, IMO 3. Central - Athletes, and more athletes. Sounds like ingredients for big plays all the time. 4. LC-M - I beleive Gonzalez will be back and that all district reciever 5. Ozen - Hearing great things about Ozen for next year. Since Ozen is running the same offense as WB, I see them finally doing something 6. Nederland - The QB contraversy continues. Also, I have not heard anything about a RB over there. 7. Vidor - Big 3 gone 8. Lumberton - No Hanna, Beard, and Hussey? Don't even think about it!
I would have put LCM at 2nd because they showed brief signs of greatness last year and if they put it together this season they easily compete for the top spot for offense with PNG. I would put Livingston at the 5th spot.
Just saying...LCM has 16 returning starters, and most of the losses are on the offensive line...
That usually not a good thing.
I see alot closer district games than last year. While 43 seniors graduated from PNG leaving them w/18 srs.returning and some holes to fill they doubtfully go undefeated but make another year of playoffs.I said it last year PNG was better than the record showed the year before last because of that core group who were 43 jrs.but lacking some leadership they now have w/coaching staff.Defense wins championships and that's been for the most part over several years Central my pick-PNG-LCM-Nederland-Lumberton who returns 17 seniors this yr.
these four are your picks. no Central ??? ::)

THEY WILL COMPETE EVERY GAME,IF YOU FALL ASLEEP ON THESE KIDS. IT'S POSSIBLE YOU WILL FIND YOURSELF ON THE LOSING END OF THE SCOREBOARD. THE "P" TRAIN WILL ROLL IN 2010.
Uh oh!!! move over L-TRAIN!! :D :D
:D :D :D :D Not a P train!!
i know what u mean, lets just use something other than the "P" Train. :)

WB Offense: Spread (great at running it) Defense: 4-3 (great front seven)
Wow, Ozen fans sure came on here strong..With alot of Confidence.. I guess everone is intitled to their own opinion

Hey I would really like for the The top 2 spots in the district to belong to both the Panthers & Jaguars.. That would be really impressive.. If both teams could go undefeated in the new stadium that would really be amazing, except for when they play each other then someone would have to lose.. LOL
yeah we have been silent for a long time. I went to yesterday's spring practice and was impressed with the team, Coach Nelson and staff. Watching practice made me feel good about this coming season. And it would be nice if both beaumont teams were at the top of the district once again.

Game is the 4th on the schedule this yr..) Central (Lost KEY players last season but will still be strong enough for 3rd) Nederland (Dogs will be back in play-offs turned it on at the end of last season)
Against the ropes, huh? Sounds like a Moral victory to me. Even if yall do manage to beat us (which is not gonna happen), you still have to knock off PN-G and/or Nederland (as you know have your number no matter what year it is). Slim chance. Ozen still, however, makes the playoffs as stated in my District predictions...
i used "slim" earlier, but even i know it doesn't mean imposible. Ozen has been down lately and i see you have fell asleep on them and thats ok were coming with your wake up call in late september.
i think that the number one spot could come down to central, png, and nederland especially if they play the black kids at quarterback. i dont know his name so i just described him. figured they dont have to many black qb's. i figure that ozen can pull out the fourth spot this year. i went to there spring practice and there defense was flying all over the place. there offenses looked good with that basketball player david green making throws and running. he is the best qb prospect i have seen at ozen since the hurricane blew me into town. i think that all of the teams actually have a chance to place in the top four. lumberton is strong, lcm is coming up, vidor is scrappy, livingston is tough especially with that scheme, central is fast and experienced, png is hunrgy to prove that last year is no fluke, and nederland wants to be a main stay.
last year the defense wasn't the problem, it was that (on and off, hot and then extremely cold) offense. if ozen can find any offense they will be much improve.
Central, PNG, Nederland, Lumberton - not necessarily in that order (although I put Lumberton in the 4th slot). Fourth spot could easily go to any of the remaining teams so picking Lumberton fourth may be biased but what the heck. Just too many similarities between bottom dwellers in 20-4A this season. And, even if Central gave up football for the upcoming season, I would still pick them to go because they surprise me every year. They just find a way to win when it counts.
i agree with that statement, all five teams at the bottom of the district have something to prove.
