1.
book keepers and clock operators please leave your D@%n phones in your vehicle.  I see it too often these people playing/texting/talking on their phones while working books or operating clock......acting like a bunch of kids. I just want slap the _____ out you. I heard there was issues at the silsbee/lee game...bookkeeper not even notifying the refs of someone fouling out till after that player played several possessions and that a player possibly had one to many fouls marked down for him. not sure if the bookkeeper was distracted by a phone or fans, but it does show lack of focus of the job at hand I agree with you on these points.  I will say this however,  some of these people dont get paid to run the cloth or keep the book.  It is assigned.  If they were paid then maybe they would take a better interest in what they are doing. Hope you don't slap your kids..... :o :o :o
2. You heard it on here first.......It will be an IN- HOUSE hire!!!!!!!
3. Please ??? ??? ???
4.

Stats, stats & more stats. Throw out your JV games and the story is much different. The battle will be won up front. Whoever wins the LOS will win this game. Not sure if Bh has as good a defense as Nederland or Dayton or Vidor, but we will see tonight. Not sure if Livingston has the offense to knock off the vaunted BH defense, but it has the tools to do it. Unique combination of power and speed in Livingston. The outcome is very much in doubt. Coaching could play a huge role in the outcome.
Well, I totally agree with your last statement; probably more than anything else I've read on here.  I really, really respect Coach Gage and what he has/is doing in the community, with the athletic program, and especially with his boys on the team.  HOWEVER...2 plays in the last 2 games could be telling!  Loading the box against Dayton with no backup on that 4 and 1, and not even thinking that SC could/would fake the punt on like BH's 40....Just hope and he and the staff don't get lulled into "watching" the game instead of coaching the game.  All that said though....I a SOOOOO thankful he came to BH!!!  Go Eagles, kick some bootayyyyy!!!
::) ::) ::)
5. Found out BH Eagle stadium holds close to 9,500.  Expanded last year after the season.  Was told the last couple of games at the stadium last year they put the band on the track.  So i guess that would have meant the last 2 district games last year.    Did some checking into Texas Bob site and see that the largest staduim in 19-4a is Turner followed by BH.  Crosby has the smallest stadium seating wise in the district.
6. i believe BH added on to their stands on the home side.  If they did then the stadium probably hold 8,000 - 9,000.
7. HD will not hang with ALTO.
8. DAYTON  30  -  28
9.
I have to say that Lumberton now has the 2nd best stadium in 20-4A. Since the upgrades both the home and visitor side are nice and seat a respectable amount. The restrooms and concessions are excellent. Until Nederland does something with their facilities and PNG can make more room on the visitor side to walk, I think Lumberton edges them out!
Lumberton is not even in the same zip code.
10. I think we will both agree that Livingston's stadium is as bad as it gets for a 4A program.
11.
PNG has a nice home side and the field is nice but if you have to sit on the visiting side it is very, very small and the parking is horrible!  Before it is even said, yes, I know Vidor's parking isn't all the great too.  ;)
Just was refering to the stadium and field.  Now parking and other things are a different issue.
12. Just looking for some honest opinions here:      My Opinion 20-4A:                          19-4A 1. The Butch                  1. Turner (Humble) 2. PNG                          2. Barbers Hill 3. Nederland                  3. Dayton 4. Lumberton                  4. C.E. King 5. Vidor                        5. Crosby 6. Livingston                  6.  New Caney Overall: 1. Turner 2. Butch 3. PNG 4. Barbers Hill 5. Dayton 6. Nederland
13. Lufkin Hudson has never had football on any level.  At one time it was brought before the board to start it in middle school , but it was nixed by the powers up top.

Is no Vidor or Nederland this year!!!
Like I said, bring us another ;)
Not this year for PN-G, but our Freshman demolished SC 41-12..see ya soon.
ok...everybody be watching out for those PNG fish.
15.
Look out ScDawgs the mafia is trying to switch focus to the stands and not the field.  To bad dayton the team will still show up. P.S. Step up on the beat mouth.
Ignorance at it's best.
16. I think you hear it from 2 people on here.  Do research and tell me if I am wrong.
17. Didn't know 35-28 was a beatdown.
18. Sounds like my life story.  Same thing happened to me when I was born
19. It's not X's and O's ,  It's  Larry and Joe's.    Without the Larry and Joe's  it will be hard to win....period!!!!.  Warren lacks Larry's and Joe's.
20. Ok,  I have a situation that I saw today.  Not sure if any runners were on base ( doesn't really matter ) .  Batter pops up on the 1st base line.  First baseman is running up the line to get under the ball.  Batter runner runs over the 1st Baseman before the catch is made.  The runner IMO didn't run over the fielder intentionally, but he did not avoid the fielder. Umpire ( plate ) called the ball foul, incidental contact  and put the batter back in the box.  Here is what I think should have happened.  At the minimum the batter is out for interfering with the fielders attempt to catch the ball.  Worst case the batter is out and ejected for malicious contact.  Agree or disagree?
21. I would Take Houston Chapter Umpires over Beaumont any day of the week.
22.

I'm not sure about anyone on the staff.
Maybe you should do some checking!  Three of the assistants on staff have HC/AD experience, and I'm not talking about a two/three year stint at some school going 1-9 & 0-10.  Guys with quality resumes that would keep the team from making a big transition to another scheme, which they desperately don't need.  The school board needs to give one of these guys a shot and HIRE WITHIN!!  Don't beat around the bush and give them the run around and an iterview as a curtious formallity to say "yeah, well he is on the staff, so we will give him an interview"!  Just do what's right for the kids and the program...
Wayne Mahaffey.......enough said.  Check his resume.  Won a state championship at Bartlett( i think )  ,  Won numerous district championships at Rusk, and was very successful at Kaufman.  Cheating thr kids if you don't hire someone that knows the kids....
23. In my opinion,  Nation's events are better than USSSA .  I have worked both.  The Premier division for Nations has some salty teams.
