LCM-PNG was a good one in '97. WOS PNG and LCM were all undefeated at the time. PNG lost to LCM which set up a undefeated showdown between WOS and LCM the following week. That game had the most people I had ever played in front of. Standing room only. Im not sure if any of you remember.

One thing that bothered me was the way they portrayed our accents. They were aweful!!! Most Texas movies have horrible representations of our southern draw.

I was there and it was HOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just ask Gasilla. Felt like 2 a days It looked like we were getting tired in the semi game. We didnt have Franks for the whole game due to cramps. Bevil(quarterback) also was getting fatigued. Those guys were palying their hearts out. One thing I noticed was the poor sportsmanship of the Katy Taylor team. They were bad. Of the game I saw I will be very excited to see these kids this fall on Fridays. 8) Congrats Guys!!! :wink: 8)

Well, I just got back from the major metro area of Ballinger, TX (4,000 pop) and their mascot was the Bearcats. Ive heard it plenty times before, but what exactly is a Bearcat? Is it a mythical creature like the Unicorn, Jackrabbit, or even Jaberwocky?

Well Im not sure about the biggest, but with Bridge City being about 4 miles away, orangefield about 5 miles, and LCM about 7 miles away. We (WOS) have somewhat of a rivalry with them. BC and LCM more than O'field. O'field has only played us twice 04 and 05. So we dont have really anything there. If you want to pick one, Id say Jasper because of the awesome games we have had over the years. Their are numerous years that we played them twice! :shock:

Well, the coaches went to a clinic at TCU in '85( i think) and if you notice, the old TCU logo was flying just like our WOS is. The coaches came up with the idea from the TCU helmet logo and incorporated it into our own. ( I think this is what coach Thompson told me in highschool) I could be wrong though. So we did sort of copy the logo, but styled it on our own. I will try to find an old picture of TCU's helmets and post it on here.
