1. I think it's Riojas. Not Royas. For Memorial coach. Unless I'm thinking of a different person.
2. There is a huge attack on Christians in this country. It's down right scary. If there was a school that had a pre game prayer over the pa that was a Muslim prayer it would be untouchable. If anyone even thought to complain or voice concern they would be labeled as a racist, intolerant or even a bigot. The case would never make it to the media much less the Supreme Court because they wouldnt want to be labeled as insensitive. Any religion that is not Christian would be celebrated if a school did this.
3. Yes, limited government is best and the states should have more autonomy but in the status quo, the states have to use the feds to secure the border. They(the fed government) cant pick and choose, a la carte, when the border is their or the states responsibility when things get tough. They need to either stop suing when Perry tries to fix the border or fix it themselves.
4. I think they would vote whomever they are told to vote for with that logic. Just seems the liberals got to them first.
5. Big girl, what does Cliven Bundy have to do with this?
6. Big Girl, we all agree with you that when a body of water catches on fire it is not normal and most likely bad. What we dont agree with is the far overreach of the Epa and the burden they put on economic growth. Common sense and moderation is the main problem with the EPA and most other government agencies because they dont use them. The government was not set up by our fore fathers to be the solution to our problems but rather a tool to use. I think the EPA can be a very useful agency if they would stick to what they were initially conceived for.
7. Well, hold on a sec, i think my total might be off.....ill get back to ya in a sec Its actually 240k total with 52k children of that. Estimated another 300k on their way through Mexico right now. By the end of year the total could be well over a half million. And no, before someone asks, that isnt mixed in with the Mexican immigrants. They are all from Central America on that count. What is disturbing is the ammount of enphasis on the children when in fact they are a small minority of the total. What/who are the adults?? Drug smugglers? Criminals? Its almost the "watch this hand" trick.
8. 1. 300k illegal immigrants since April of whom only 55k or so are children. Worst influx since early 1900's. 2. Increase of terroists and jihadists at levels not seen since before 9/11. Thats just two of the many reasons or proof.
9. Lol, no prob. I was trying to be creative i guess. The one i was thinking of was Buddy. I forgot he switched a couple years ago. Some on commissioners court are rino in my opinion.
10. Well, excuse me if i was misinformed. No need to get bent out of shape. I actually was agreeing with you on said topic but i guess i dont know much about the politicians in orange county. Didnt realize the caps would offend. So i guess you know some of them personally?
11. Whats even more strange is how Big girls posts sound identical to a Jay Carney press briefing...geez..whats wrong with people today..can they not speak for themselves? Whats up with her talking about her talking about the US being the worst industrialized nation of industrialized nations on another tread? Does she even know what the definition of an industrialized nation is or is she just repeating something she read? Doesnt make sense. Lol smh...
12. What in the world is racist about illegal immigrant children with diseases????
13. Pretty spot on opinion there. To add to what you are saying is the "yellow dog" democrats who had a strangle hold on politics in setx are dying off thus loosening the grip they once had. Just like you said, you dont necessarily have to be democrat any more to win local races if you know what i mean. I was raised democrat and switched about 10 years ago when i didnt like what the party was evolving into. I personally really care about whats right instead of polar politics but tend to lean to the right.
14. The current County judge did not lose to the Republican, he decided it was time for a change and didnt run again. He also wasnt as "democrat" as the name implies rather more for whats right and wrong regardless of party affiliation. As previously mentioned, the current state judges and court at law are NOT all Republican in Orange County. Some are still Democrats. A few people switched from Democrat to Republican on commisioners court a gear ago also for various reasons. I do wish Judge elect Carlton well and think he will do fine.
15. I remember it well. We(WOS Varsity) were at the game. We played Lincoln on Saturday that week. At that time, all of us PNG, LCM and WOS were undefeated and all state ranked(Well, I believe we all were). The next week we were to play LCM so we were there scouting. Long story short, we ended up beating LCM the next week going undefeated untill running into LaMarque in the third round. Man they were good. Went on to actually play LCM in the quarters the following week and then won state.
16. Adding to what a poster asked/said about early recruitment, I have a few issues with it myself. Well, maybe not as much issues as concerns. Ive noticed over the last few years that sometimes these kids that already commit to College or university being underclassmen have a tendency to have a "big head" mentality on the field. in some cases, Ive seen it disrupt the teamwork during a game. I guess Im kind of "old school" also when I believe it should wait untill your senior year to commit/sign a scholarship. I know many of you have seen what I am talking about. Frankly, it makes me sick seeing some of the cocky "swagger", if that is what it would be called, on the field looking like a spoiled brat. Now there are exceptions to the rule, but more often than not they seem to not care about the season at hand or being a team player and more about "look at me, Im the guy going to whateverU next season" and I dont have to hustle or care. With that said, this has nothing to do with Mr. James, the topic just raised something that has been on my mind for a while. I was told that he is a very diciplined individual and a great leader. Congrats to the kid.
17. I have no predictions for WOS except for something interesting. Seems like every time except for a couple that we have started a season with a new QB, were pretty successful. I'm sure there is someone on here that could help me out and post an accurate past history but here are a couple coming to mind. 1985 Rod Robertson ( one of the best we've had) loses to Yates in a game that many say was for the 5a state championship. Next year we start a rookie QB named Tremaine Lewis..State Champs. 1996 we have an exc ntSolent pocket passer in Kelly Robertson We go 7-5 I believe and lose to Waller in Regionals. The next year we start a fresh Junior named Jermaine Feathers with a bunch of kids that have been on JV or freshman team and go 10-0 in regular season. Ranked #2 in state and eventually lose to state champ LaMarque in regionals. Well, this year seems to be the same a lot of good underclassmen players with a new QB. I guess well see if history repeats itself.
18. I'm sorry but this is so petty. Really UIL? Do you not have anything better to do? And shame on the whistle blower. I'm sure it was because a "little Johnnie" didn't get to play the week before and the "little johnnie's" momma was upset. We need to back to the days that peopl. Teach their kids that not EVERY one wins. Sometimes you lose but its how you deal with the loss that makes you a winner. Some sports leagues don't even keep score for a 10yr old basketball game so they don't hurt the other teams feelings.
19.
21 3A Silsbee WOS Bridge City Orangefield Hampshire Fannett Buna Hardin Jefferson
Hmmmm... WOS not picked to win district? Any reasons? Just fmi.
20.

Yep, Wos will be wearing the '92 jerseys instead of the '91. Lol. I just don't understand....Back in '96, we received new jerseys, they were a navy blue version of Dallas. They looked sharp except for the fact that you could tuck the sleeves into your socks. Coach T needs to redesign the uniforms. It's time. I'm not talking about color scheme or th. silver helmet but the FIT. Tucked sleeves and tight jerseys aren't just to look good....they actually help the players. I understand that the Mustangs are about tradition and consistency but the 1980 style mesh loose jerseys just don't fly. Just my 2 cents.
yall are the Oregon of this area as far as jerseys, yall got about 25 combinations lol
Oh, I know. Lol. BUT those 25 combos are all outdated. Sure, we have a couple "newer" jerseys from circa 2001 and 2, but that was still a decade ago. We becoming the Pittsburgh Steelers. Lol.
21.
Why don't Newton play Jasper, Silsbee etc...  Because they droped Newton from their schedule. To say that Bridge City and Orangefield were weak teams is not true. These teams will be better next year and competative. Liberty should have been better but lost their good qb by transfer. These are not the little patsy teams like Deweyville played. Wow, this ought to get something started...
Nm

23.
WOS looks like they rolled the dice and got snake eyes.  ;D Sorry, couldn't resist....  About to be a lot of crow served. Rattlers, making the Brazos Valley proud!  Jerryworld, here they come!
Not yet. The game is 4 quarters, not 2. Navasota looks like the real deal and all the hype surrounded by them BUT........WOS is a very dangerous team. Don't count your chickens untill they hatch. You don't get to this round without being able to play some ball. With that said..... Either way, Reg 3 will get the golden egg.
24.
Wo-s played teams that were jokes too so please don't use that one bud. I'm telling u guys now our offense is going pick y'all's defense apart. Our head coach brother is the head coach for North Carolina Tarheels and I know y'all's D what be able to stop us.
Dude.....really?? Every post you have made from your first, I have been losing a little more credability about you. Now? NONE! LOL Well, my dog groomers, aunts, sisters, uncle in law's lawyers, son was a waterboy for the Calgary Stampede. And you KNOW how big those CFL fields are!!So that right there tells me how bad a whoopin 'dem Rats will get. Lol..come on...
