1. by the way, how do they get on here? Is it a virus that an ad company uses??
2.
I believe in John Osteen saying “I can have what the bible says I can have.” Well the bible says that God’s people are the head and not the tail, we are above and not beneath. Lord as our kids take the field I pray that they are the head and not the tail, above and not beneath, healed and not broken. May your word cover our kids because they are the future of this great country that love the Lord. Lord I pray that our kids have your spirit on and off the field. Your covering will be mentally, physically and spiritually.  We love you and thank you in the name of  Jesus My house will be a house of prayer. As for me and my house we will serve the Lord. Now let the Good Times Roll Baby.
AMEN!    Oh and you meant to say.....lazais le bon temps roulle!
3.
J, I am a Mustang fan. I also believe in our defense. But, there is a huge difference between giving up NO TD's in district (which you said) and giving up 5. Let me also caution you about making bets your "rear" can't pay. While we do have a 1987/2000 like defense right now. We are nowhere near as deep as those teams were. The wrong injury to the wrong people and you can kiss your hard earned money goodbye. JMO, bro!
Hey, hey , hey.....dont forget '97/98 8)
4.
Sloppy game for PNG....WOS defense is stout....did see some glimmers of hope, our O - line did a good job against a very good defnse line, Our defensive line and line backers did well. Gotta work on our secondary, not all bad, but couple of complete breakdowns that allowed a talented group of receivers wide open...PNG quarterback situation, Gotta to run with authority, that did not happen. Receivers have to catch when it IS catchable to them. One for sure touchdown utterly dropped. Offense has to stay on the field more, meaning running the ball. I think we could do that more because we do have size up front. Unfortunately, PNG offense calls for alot of passing. Like I have said, gonna be a tough year, but we'll get through it. It will be interesting to see what FC does at the QB position for this week......All in all just keep working hard and never give up, still think we'll surprise some people....uphill climb (not "the hill") ::)
On a positive note. The NDN's aren't playing exactly teams that are weak. All these games will make that young team better.
5. This post of mine has nothing to do with the game last night, or any other game for that matter. I am not trying to ruffle any feathers or calling anyone out but something has to stop. There is way too many posts that are calling these KIDS out by name. I know that they read the boards. Please guys, remember that this is HS football. If it was your son that is out there doing the best he can, would you like someone saying how scared, or not athletic he is? I just don't like people scrutinizing the play of teenagers. They are very impressionable at this age. I'm sure it is not intensional. Just please remember those boys play for the love of the game.
6. Sounds like he's an ATH. Just put him in anywhere. WOS had one of those a few Years ago. Kid played reciever, running back, kick returner, corner back, etc. Funny thing is I don't recall him ever playing safety for the Mustangs. Now he's an all pro safety for the Seattle Seahawks.
7. Holy Cow.... Colin Janice just demolished LCM QB for safety. 18-0, free kick to come.....
8. 1st and 10 from 9yrd line off PI from Stangs. Flags on play. looks like false start. Pretty clean game. both teams have 6 penalties.
9. Tezeno at QB,wildcat with 4 wide. Bears hold. LCM 1st and 10 from the 1.
10.
Ya never know. Not taking away from WOS' athletic talent, which is huge, but LCM, in most cases, rises up to the occasion, winning a few, but keeping it close many times.  You don't know with a rivalry like this...Being a homer, I will predict a shocker, with LCM taking it by 3.
Rising to the occasion and winning a few times against who? WOS? Of my knowlege, they have won only two times against WOS since gas was 10 cents a gallon. LOL. And those were flukes in that. Heck, I still see lcm people wearing their "hit list" t shirts from 1994. They had shirts made just for beating a few teams LOL. Man, imagine how many t shirts there would be if WOS did that every year. Cotton would become more precious than Gold. Hahah. On a side note, I always wish lcm well as long as they are not playing WOS. They are due to be a great team. They have a great coach with a winning attitude.
11. Wow, really? Why in the world is someone so butt hurt about who is SETX and who isnt? Who cares? Technically, as far a south east Texas goes geographically, it starts around Matagorda ends in Orange and goes north to about Lufkin. That is looking at the state from a whole. As far as most people around HERE, setx is the golden triangle. It's all relative to where you personally live and if your looking at the the actual literal orientation of the state or looking at the "regions" that are technical. Now with that, I tried to sound very edumacated lol, but the only thing that matters now is waiting for week 0.
12. I'm guessing LP is Liberty? What is the reason for their sudden poll jumping?
13.
Would you rather start the year No. 2 and not go far or start the year No. 23 and make the regional finals?
I see your point but just making the regional finals is still a failure in WOS eyes. State or bust. That is the way it has been and always will. A lot of teams goal at the beginning of a season is to make the playoffs. They get t-shirts, hats and stickers made. In Mustang land, all they see as success is to put another state champ sign on Western Ave. Darn good goal to me.
14. Your kidding me. Wait till I see him. Lol. Of all the schools he could have went to. Well, I guess in his case, if you can't beat em, join em. Haha.
15. Thanks brother. Already have a shirt for him that says future fieldgoal kicker. Lol.
16. How about we say who won't win state in the top 10 in 3a D1? Wow its loaded!
17. Beaumont Walmart has them. They are in the mag section by the electronics in the back. There are not with the other football books like lindies, they are on the bottom to the very left. Wife gave birth to my baby boy yesterday so needed some reading material at the hospital, lol. Took a picture with him next to the magazine. Getting him started early. Lol.
18.
Playing good competition makes you better... It's nice to have cross-town rivals as tough as you guys.  Seems like it was fourth and goal in the Mustang red zone with under a minute left as were were trying to score and take the lead last year.  We didn't convert, and your streak remains intact.  You see, that's the good thing about our rivalry.  We have nothing to lose.  You're the ones that one day will have to watch a bunch of people dressed in red celebrating like they just won the Olympics. There will be kids in blue with their bottom lips stuck out.... clipboards will be thrown around on the Mustang sideline.... Somebody's going to dump the gatorade on Coach Stump...  We're all going to want our picture taken with your mascot, etc.... You see, late on the night of November 2, it really won't matter if WOS gets another W.  But if BC gets the win, you guys will be the chumps that let those kids from BC take one from you.  I'm ready..... Are y'all?
Well, it seems that the night of Nov. 2nd REALLY does matter. If it didn't, obviously you wouldn't have written a short story fiction. Trust me, if there was a year to be so bold in BC, its not this year.lol. the real question is.....will yall even score a point......
19.
November 2nd.
Lol!!! If WOS loses a district game in the future, it won't be to BC. Poor guys, I bet its hard to get your dreams pounced on every year. Seems like to me that they couldn't care less about making it far in the playoffs. If they beat WOS, that whole town would put up banners, make shirts, and paint their water tower with the words...."Welcome to Bridge City, we finally beat WOS" lol.
20. Wow! If that is true, D1 is a toss up.  Talk about loaded.
21. I posted this on another thread and decided to make it a topic. Just seems that the big schools are getting HUGE and the others aren't growing at all. Here is my take....... Is it just me, or is 3A getting HUGE? Seems like 3a has twice as many teams as any other classification. I'm sure I'm wrong, but sure seems that way. Another thought is looking at all these 3A schools that were 4A power houses as little as a couple years ago. Seems like we have a very interesting trend here.......the 5a schools are getting so huge they are the size of some colleges. 4A seems limited now and 3a is growing by the month. Does anyone think the UIL needs to re-classify the whole state? Make a 6A and get rid of the subdivisions in the other classifications? You would have 6 through 1A. Maybe the 4a schools would be 5a, the 3a schools be 4a, etc.
