I have been nothing but respectful when talking about the players and the game, go back and read the thread. I put one comment out there and all of a sudden I have an agenda? That's what is "ridiculous" (notice the proper spelling). Once your done reading the thread grab a ladder, get down off of your high horse, and quit taking yourself so seriously. What a joke.
I got you Rake. I see your sarcasm, you just come across in a different way than you mean. No biggie. And the spelling is my stupid phone. I tried to text my wife I loved her yesterday and it came out as "I like aborigines" lol. And the ladder? With my knee, I don't even climb up them much less come down. lol.
Kicker, it's all good and in good fun. Man this is a terrible time to be down with a knee ailment, we had you pegged to win a car with the KOGT halftime Punt,Pass, and Kick. You were a lock!! On a different note I hope everyone looking for some good football doesn't miss the sub varsity games tonight! Especially that barn burner 7th grade A team match up! I'll be there for sure, these young guys can play. The Merlin Broussard family should be proud for a variety of reasons, both on and off the field. Looking forward to some good football. Rake1
I tell you what Rake, ill take a whole bottle of tylenol to win a car, lol. I know I could do it, ronly thing I would be worried about is the pass part. Granger would probably find a rule that i couldn't do it. Lol. Anyways, I plan on watching the younguns tonight. I know they have a great team. Been trying to work with Jack on kicking, but my schedule has got me tied down. -

Their enrollment for last realignment was 996, cut off was 990. Like I said, LaMarque will probably have to go Region IV if they decide to go down to 3A, unless those 5-6 HISD schools finally decide to drop down to 3A.
That's just what he told me. Probably misunderstood him. 6 kids is close though. Isn't it true that you can play in any division no matter how many kids you have, as long as you play up?
Correct. Any school can opt to play up in any classification. You just cannot play down a class. I believe there are actually 2 schools playing 5A that have 3A numbers.
Wow, really? I would like to see their records.

I had a feeling that hf staying with us on the field wasn't a fluke. Looks like they have turned the corner and are going to be a great team in the future. Reminds me of coldspring a few years ago. They go from doormat to one of the MOST feared teams in the state. -

By the way, I have a great crow gumbo recipe that a few teams have shared with me if you would like.
Okay Kicker.....here you go. (with the help of my so called "infinite knowledge" The contradiction comes from your 2 sided statement about being 10 points from undefeated and "a win is a win" is that simple enough for you. If it's 10 points or 100 points it's still a loss, you can't have it both ways which is what you are trying to do. You don't hear BC fans saying "we are 15 points from being undefeated", accept the fact that your record is what it is and go on. It's always the same story from the blindly devoted faithful, "a good team finds a way to win" when you don't play your best. Very seldom do you see credit given to the opponent for playing well. Your macho talk of invincibility rings hollow as the "we are mightier than all others" lingo as well. My point in this whole thread is that a truly "objective" fan, one who can see all sides and is not so blinded by loyalty, would say this has the potential to be a really good game. If WOS wins then they were obviously the better team at the time. I have already posted on an earlier thread that the district championship still has to go through WOS because I am an objective fan. If BC wins then it will be a huge statement for their program and probably earn them some respect that many refuse to give them. As far as poking fun at Skipper goes I am definitely not the first one to make light of his computer skills. As you obviously read earlier in the thread Skipper and I were able to settle the situation in a friendly manner and I consider that the end of it. If you feel the need to stand up and come to the rescue go find a kitten in a tree. Also, no crow recipes needed here due to the fact that I have generated no outlandish trash talk worthy of a crow dinner. You may need to save them for yourself since you are the only one predicting the outcome. I said it has the potential to be a really good game and that is what I am personally hoping for. Rake1
Nope, still not contradiction. They are two seperate statements that I said close together. Here, ill help you understand. I said we are 10 points away from being undefeated. Those loses were to good teams that beat us. Never said it wasn't. Second, I said a win is a win. That also is a true statement. Also, a loss is a loss. I see what you are thinking but that is not what i meant when I said it. Also, I'm not the "only" one that predicts a win by the Mustangs. Just read the whole thread. Well have to agree to disagree on this. Now...that could be a contradiction.....
I beg to differ! No need to "help me understand" your bass akwards logic. You are still playing both sides of the fence. It still doesn't matter how many you lost by unless I missed a new stat that you have created. Give credit where credit is due, really it's okay to do that sometimes. And also nobody said you were the only one who predicted a win, don't get it twisted. I will agree that we will have to disagree. Please continue to support your team and enjoy the games ahead, I plan to do the same. Rake1
Actually I've given praise to all the teams that beat us and even the ones we beat. I will support my team, and other teams that have class. I'm tired of arguing with a tree so have fun. Besides, we are taking up too much room on the servers with all the quotes. -

West Orange-Stark vs. Orangefield Game Thread/WO-S wins!
kicker replied to WOSgrad's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
This is what I think.....we are playing to our opponents. We are playing THEIR game, not ours. How can we barely lose to a powerhouse Nederland team yet barely beat HF or Orangefield. We are letting our opponents dictate which Mustangs will show up. Why? I have NO idea. Watch and see, this Friday we have a great BC squad coming to town and we will beat them. But then we will struggle against Hardin Jefferson. I'm telling you, it seems like our mindset is to just do barely enough to win. Well, that doesn't work against Ned, or Giddings, or whoever. If we play OUR game then its a way different story. IMO. -
WO-S is a very talented team I just don't know if this is the right offense to suit their skill set. Just an observation.
Post of the century. you are dead on!!! Why are we forcing these kids to run an offense that doesn't work. It also discourages the defense. IMO, defense is thinking...our offense can't even get A first down so why are we out here? Come on, spread them out and we start scoring 50 points much less 19 yrds in first half or whatever it was.
