1. Our offense isn't working. We need to change it up. Maybe go back to the spread? I don't know. It is depressing me.
 2. I know what he's talking about. He's probably remanicent of the old TJ logo. Only bad thing is you really couldn't make it out unless you were on the field with them.
 3. I've never understood how Vidor always has a good team but fizzles off when it counts. They run through pre district, run over a few district foes then choke on big games. What gives?
 4. Since were getting off subject, I say WOS wins. Not saying a score, but it won't be pretty. Ps. Get your POP corn ready.  ;D

My heart says stay but my mind says run.LOL.
I know, I like Romo but I think he is involved with the mob. Point shaving is all I can say. ;D ;D
LOL!!!  I don't think Romo has the intelligence to even know what a point spread is. The best bet is to let home play the first three quarters and then let McGee take the forth. Haha. Might have a chance then. Texas boys now how to win.
 6. Yep, and a wounded lion has the rest of the pack to make up for him. We will be fine. Just because we didn't hang 50 on a much improved HF team doesn't mean we are done. Look at college ball, you see SEC teams barely escape defeat only to run the table and win it all. It's all about matchups. Some teams just play us better than others. And the HF team I saw Friday wasn't the same team they were the last two years. They have some great players. Time will tell us how our team will be. Remember, we have a very young O line. They will only get better and trust me, Cornell will have them in shape come title time.
Picked 137 of 172 games correct in the pickem contest through first 6 weeks, 80% win percentage, top 10 overall in contest through 6 weeks. I know a little something about the subject. ;) I see that you chose to not to participate in the contest. We know why. ;)
And I am ahead of you. LOL!!!!! On a serious note Caneyhead does not speak for Orangefield as a whole, not even .001 percent of us. While I like his loyality he is not very realistic.  Everyone should know that this person is poking a little fun. I will not predict a score and we have not been close to WOS since they dropped to 3A. With everything happening the way it is I do think we have a chance. That is something we have not been able to say in a long time. I do agree with "riot07" people need to calm down in mustang land. True fans support their teams through thick and thin. Look at me, I have been a cowboy fan through thick and thin for 49 years. But they are really testing my patience. LOL!!!!!!! ;D ;D ;D
Me too. And i hate to say that I might be jumping on the Texan bandwagon. Should have won yesterday, but oh well. Both Texas teams are so unpredictable.....maybe I could become a jets fan....no, they lost too, well.......Lions anyone? LOL. They do seem to like players from Texas. Haha. Anywho.... I'm not predicting a score but I will say WOS will put it together this week so watch out. I too agree that some are panicked way too much. If we win by 1 or 50, its still a win. I was just upset with the lack of intensity last Friday. Just like Thompson said, we've always played crappy on homecoming. Even when i played. We had nice field paint though. LOL.
 9. What news is bad skip? You talking about the guy who said were not in Orangefields caliber? Just look at where he's from..Caney Head....that's about as reliable as u haul trailer going 75 down the interstate. lol.  ;D
 10.
To me when you play for a team with as much tradition as wos and a team with the highest of expectations. I dont see the need to praise kids for making a wide open catch or making a tackle. These things are simple, now if you stuff somebody on 4th and goal from the 1, yes! But not for making ordinary plays! That is not something to get praised for at wos!!! Im telling you though this team is still figuring out this new offense and dealing with alot of key injuries! When they are healthy and get the offense down, they are going to be very hard to beat against anyone!!!!
I concur.
 11. Looks pretty accurate to me. However, I think St. Augustine beating Deweyville was a fluke.
 12.
this is to all wo-s football fans that make most all there games let me know if you see any coach go over to the kids and show them LOVE FOR A JOB WELL DONE the kids miss this on friday nights i remember coach mark foreman going out to meet the kids and showing his love to them for a job well done  before thay hit the sidelines PS no excitement by the coaches :( :( :( :(
I see your point skip, but that is like praising someone for a job they were supposed to do anyway. If its above and beyond their expected play then yes, give them props. If its just plugging a hole then no praise needed. Coaches should not have to consistently motivate their players when 112% is expected. Team leaders should step up and lead.
I believe Nederland is in 1st in 20-4a.
I think that was a compliment to WOS.
I think he was just completing what was said. I take it as a big compliment. The way Ned. Has played, just shows how good we CAN be. Right now it seems like we are a Jeckyl/Hyde team. Were playing to our opponents. That is not good. Hopefully last Friday was just a fluke and we will step it up.
 14. Thanks, you gave me a huge headache. I'm too a.d.d. to get these scores .Between fort bend , cypress and Katy, there are 40 schools. Geez, how many schools can one city have? And they are all named the same. San Antonio Lincoln, fort bend licoln, Dallas Lincoln, etc....LOL.

In Giddings we nearly tripled theirs and still lost by 8. Stats are for losers, period... Scoreboard baby!
Thats very true and thats what I was wanting to see. Just how that game played.  Thats it. Im fully aware of how stats work. And I listen to the giddings game. I was aware of what took place in that game. But was trying to figure out why the score was close against HF.  In order to make my prediction thats it. So I do use stats In my own way I dont use them in a way that dosnt make sence. And I dont consider myself a loser but I will look at stats to make my own assumption of what was going on with a particular game Win or lose.
Gas wasn't calling you a loser. He was just being funny.
The thing is, people keep harping on the 5 TD's called back like it would have made the score much worse than it was. The reality is that BC ended up scoring 4 TD's on those 5 possessions anyways.
LOL!
Haha. That's pretty good. Seems like people always point that out. They get a 8yrd td run called back and next play its a 13yrd pass for a TD. It's not like you would have gotten 2 touchdowns..LOL.

We are still WOS. I just was VERY disappointed in the effort last night. I can't put blame on anyone because I have no idea who that team was. It wasn't mustang football. I do however, believe that hf isn't the same pushover they used to be. They came to play and I applaud them for that. I'm just so confused on what is going on. It's crazy that we win a game but feel we lost. That is just the way it is when you put that silver hat on. Nothing tolerated but perfection. Hopefully last night was a wakeup call to whomever or whatever the problem is. Let's play real Mustang ball now. 112%
I wonder what changed for HF since these 4 games from earlier this season: at Anahuac         6-21    L Buna         21-56  L at Huffman     10-41  L Beaumont Kelly         27-41  L I say it was more of WOS playing badly. I think the Mustangs will bounce back with a vengeance next week.
you can say what you want but I have been to every Longhorn game and this was the first time that I have actually seen them play all four quarters. The mustangs did struggle, but the horns deserve some credit for the way that they hung in there last night, and all of those games that you listed are games that the longhorns played their game in for one half in, whether it be the first or second.
Ok, so what you are saying is that the previous loses are because yall played only one half in each game? I'm confused with your logic. Football is TWO halves and an L is an L. As ESPN so elegantly says it.......COME ON MAN.......LOL.

 19. Wow, I've never been a "moral" victory person but hf has it if there was. I guess winning on the score board is the most important, but it felt like a loss.
 20. It's not that our offense is bad and so on, its that the whole team is just going through the game. It honestly looks like a Thursday walktrough practice. It's not the coaching as some want to blame, its lack of hustle, execution, etc... What in the world? Come on Stangs, come out in the second half and play!
 21. Can someone please go on the field and figure out who hf is playing? We need to light a fire under some butts. We have more sloppy penalties than yardage. Wow, td longhorns, as I type.
