[/quote] I posted about this on another thread, being on the field and seeing it first hand, the Jasper Team and Coaches looked just as hurt as we were. It showed me tremendous class from Jasper when they were hugging our kids. They too were truly shocked, I could see it in their eyes after the game. I knew when the Jasper fans and coaches found out, their band stoped playing and their whole sideline just went silent. Very classy Jasper. Ive always been a fan of yalls, but now even more.

I remember that first td pass he threw. We were sitting in the stands watching this fresh off jv player and thinking wow, this kid is gonna be good. That was 4 years ago. I am still in shock. I want to point out Jasper players, coaches and fans. We have always had a heated Rvalry and much respect for each other. But when I saw the Jasper team and coaches crying with us and hugging our kids, it shows how we setxans are one family. I'm so sorry. I just don't know what to say....I have an image that I can't get out of my head, I love being on the sidelines with the kids, but last night, I wish I wasn't. We all love the kids. Yall will make it through this, I promise.

To all the kids that read this board, I'm so sorry. I too have lost a teamate and roommate in college. I know what you going through. Today is the day you need to try and get out and do something. I know it won't leave your mind, but now is the time to be strong for everyone else around you. If any of you kids need to talk to someone, please pm me and I will give you my phone number. I have never forgotten my fallen teammate, but it has helped me appreciate things throughout my life.

I don't know what to say.....I was right there when it happened, on the sideline. I can't get a certain picture out of my mind. I won't say what that picture was, but i knew immediately that something was terribly wrong. I suffer from  seizures, and what I saw with my own eyes didn't seem like a seizure I have ever seen or been through. Brent, thank-you for sharing that story. It made me hurt more, but also made me feel better. I know it doesn't make sense, but it does for me. I volunteer coach because I love the kids and want to help them succeed in life. It's going to take me a long time to get this out of my head, but its not about me. It's about Reggie and his family, teammates and friends. I'm so sorry that this happened. I pray that the Mustangs can come together and finish this season for him. And to the kids, I know what it feels like to lose a best friend. Now is the time to step up and be the best you can be, ...for him. We lost a great player, but more , a great kid with a tremendous future. RIP Reggie. You are with Jesus now, and  that is the only place to be. Throw some balls to the angels buddy.....

I would not be a happy camper with my left, right, and center being compromised. I would have jumped their *****. And yes, I have been known to do it. If I have a job to do, then so does the line, snapper, holder, etc.

ok, here I go......Im not trying to "ruffle" any "feathers"(no pun intended :D), but who has BC played to get all this praise? Give BC our(WOS) preseason schedule, and I guarantee you, they would be winless. They would be great in a 2A district, or even TAPPS. ;D

One more thing. The penalty is there to protect the kicker after he kicks the ball. Ive had teams go at my ankles after the ball was going through the uprights, just to try to take me out of the game. Its called "defensless position" same as QB.

If the kicker is hit before he kicks, then it is a legal tackle.(used to do it on Tecmo Bowl with the nose guard lol) If this happens, then that is a VERY slow snap and hold. If he is hit and the ball is tipped, blocked, etc, its no penalty. If the kicker kicks the ball, and then gets tackled, pushed(or kicker falls down to sell the reff ;D) then penalty. So, If the ball is touched by the kicker and the oposing team touches the ball in any way, no penalty. I didnt see the call, but the way it sounds, wrong call.

Polls have had their way with WOS over the years. I believe in 1987, we were supposed to have a rebuilding year, and werent ranked. We won State. In 1997, we were #2 and got beat by Lamarque. In 98, we were ranked 1 and 2, and lost first round to Silsbee. in 2000, i dont think we were ranked and went to the State Champ game. in 2003? we were #1 and lost to Jasper first game of season and then one and done in the playoffs. We do better, not being ranked.

Man.....Im really not sure who has the best fight song.....we dont get to hear many of our opponents play it.  ;D
