I don't know what premise you base that assumption on. You need to do a little fact checking: 1) EC is 9-0 against 3A competition the last three years, cumulative score of 293-159, average score of 33-18. 2) BH is 4A, not 3A. 3) EC has 4 predistrict games. EC, until proven otherwise, would be the favorite in 3 of 4 of those games. BH due to raw numbers would be the exception. How on earth would you think EC couldn't hang with that schedule, after a 9-0 recent record vs. 3A. To say EC "needs to play 1A schools" is ludicrous. You must be someone with a axe to grind... Let's be realistic. : PS: It's West Hardin, and Hull Daisetta. Well, 9-0 is pretty good, considering you didnt play WOS ;D

They lost to LaMarque in the 4th round... LM went on to lose in the Championship to Stephenville. Thats what I thought. They were way better than the first time we played them that year. They just beat us hands down. They wanted it more. Of course if we would have won, we prolly would have been bounced by LaMarque. Just like they did to us the year before.

Kinda funny how we always have kids come out of no where and become D1 material. Id like to see a list of all of our players that went D1 since our 78 merger. I bet we are high on the all time list.

WOS/Silsbee 1998 season 1st round playoff game. :'( We probably had the best WOS team since '87. We couldnt do anything right that game fumbles, interceptions, missed pat, players falling down in the mud. Why in the ---- did we play at TJ anyway? IMO one of the worst fields around. I do believe Silsbee went a few rounds deep that year.

Their record speaks for itself but I think the main thing about WOS is Coach Dan Hooks. He has some outstanding athletes to work with certainly, but where he is smart is knowing where to put these athletes to make the TEAM the best it can be and that puts him heads and shoulders above alot of coaches in the area. I don't think he plays any political games with his boys and from what I hear, the dicipline he demands from his players makes them more of a well put together unit than most. Just my take on WOS! Acctually, it was like being in the Marines over there. I remember my first college workout and was thinking...what in the $*$* is this? We even got more than two water breaks a practice?? ???

TD, The "official" acceptance of the job will be taken at February 9th's LCM school board meeting. I imagine that is when the celebrations will begin and the welcoming committee will be in full force. I expect there will be a larger than normal crowd in attendance at the Feb board meeting and even more well wishers in the parking lot wanting to have a chance to welcome Coach Crouch back to Bear Country. I've been told that through a good rapore with our neighbors at WOS, Coach Crouch will take over the duties at LCM immediately. At 1:01AM Tuesday February 10th, there will be a small bonfire in which all of the Coach's blue and silver wardrobe will be burned. He will report to Bear Country Tuesday morning decked out from head to toe in Green & Gold! The new "Captain" will have the "ship" at full sail with a strong wind at our back and the rudder pointed straight ahead in no time at all!
