This is getting hillarious! Did you not learn anything from last year? Every year there is a lways a team that says how they will beat us. While every year we demolish that team. We dont have to talk when we walk the walk.

It would have to be the '97 Jasper/WOS game. The Jasper punter all night was punting at the most 15 yards. We were losing the game 14 to 16 I believe. With about a minute left, we pinned Jasper within the 10 yard line. We just knew we were about to get the ball on about the 20 or so and drive to win the game. Well, as Gary Stelly of KOGT said on the air, (WOW holy cow) and he punted the ball atleast 70 yards with rolls. This is the truth! The end of the game didnt fair so well for Jasper even though they made us drive around 50 yards. The end of the game was nice for me though ;D

Guys, we hear it every year. We will beat WOS this year, WOS is down this year, WOS lost too many players this year. But yet year in and year out we "prove them wrong" (or dominate if you prefer) . Not being cocky, but give the mouths some rest and prove it! That what we do.

Put it this way, I feel sorry for d22-3A. Its going to be a long time before they get past the first round.

Whats better than that, I remember playing Newton the first game of the season my Junior and Senior year, and they suited out more than us. Dont forget we were ranked #2 in state both those years as a 4A school. We never have huge numbers on the sidelines. Its kind of funny thinking of what the other teams say when they see half of what they suit up when they play us. They prolly think..man, we are going to whip these guys. Well, thats untill we rip through them like a fat lady in a pair of rocky mountain jeans. hahaha Sideline numbers dont mean anything.

For some reason, I want to see(or listen on KOGT.com) Hypolite for WO-S. I have a good feeling about this kid.

Sounds like to me, that WOS will not miss a beat this season. Any time we have been unerated, we have done outstanding. I like being tagged second, it makes the kids work harder. I also like the name Hypolite. It has a certain ring to it. Like Steen or Beasley, or even Lewis.

Guys, why are yall getting all flustured over Dave C's? Does anyone have the '97 season one? I think I remember us(WOS) being picked 3rd or more in our district. All we did that year, was go 10-0 in regular season with 5 shutouts(I Think) and then lost to eventual State Champ Lamarque in the reginals. Thats what i think about the DC magazine. Dont get me wrong, K'ville will be good, but we are THE WOS Mustangs. Dont tell us, show us!

Yep, I played in that game. Jermaine Hope layed on Cody Coburn I believe on about the half yard line. That was probably one of the most nerve racking games I was a part of. Talk about great football!!!!

The most exciting game I have played in (WOS)would have to be against LCM in 97. We were both undefeated going in to that game. I remember arriving at the school(LCM) off of HWY 87 and seeing the stadium FULL!!! Yes, full at 4:30 for a 7:30 kickoff. It was like playing at Kyle field there were so many people there. Needless to say we beat them, all the plays we ran were Tim Feathers..trap, Tim Feathers...trap, Tim Feathers...sweep, Tim Feathers Trap. They just couldnt stop him. LCM broke the 50 yardline once and it resulted in a fieldgoal by Green. Talk about an electrifying atmosphere. Orange was a ghost town during that game. That was probably one of the best teams LCM had put together. we would have had a chance to meet again in the quarter finals if it would not have been for those @#$& LaMarque Cougars. They got us first and then LCM.

I somewhat remember that game.

Well, losing Coach (Toby) Foreman does hit us hard, but the one thing I've always known about Mustang Football is we always rise to the occasion. Im hoping we will learn from our offensive mistakes the past few years and can overcome those bad plays. We shall see! I do know that out of nowhere, we always have 6 to 8 players step up and become leaders. As long as Cornel is there, we wont have any problems on the defensive side of the ball. Im just hoping the O can rise to the occasion. By the way, does anyone know how many players we will be suiting out for this years Varsity? I would also like to see a preliminary depth chart.

Dude,.......half of WOS' team runs a 4.4! What will two guys that run a 4.4 do against 8? Im sure yall will have a chance, heck everyone does. Just dont pull a Lumberton and start telling everyone how great and dominate you will be. See what happened to them. If you want to see your team get respect, then it is simple.......WIN GAMES.
