There have been some real shockers already this season. I guess after PNG goes to 0-4 they might actually get moved down in the SETXSports rankings. Who loses next week that should win?

Thanks for the insight. I too hope our offense is a little more balanced this week and we get our center back on track. Those bad snaps have cost us at least 3 TD's, if not more. We won't be able to do that against Galena Park or in the post season.

Congrats to our West of the Trinty neighbor. Guess that "tough" district is not so tough after all. I seem to recall a whole lot of, "Dayton will do ok, but it's going to be hard for them to make the playoffs in this tough district." Looks like Central may be the only thing between a 1st place finish and Dayton. Depending on what BH does against Galena Park, we may be playing Dayton 1st round...... :shock:

I hear tell New Caney has some big kids.....and with an enrollment of almost 1900, they should have some depth. I'll take the Hill in this one and if they throw the ball much more than against Crosby it could be a big game. New Caney is no push-over.

I have no doubt Crosby is treating this game like it is the Super Bowl x2. Their coach has said a lot of things over the years about their ability to have beatin us in scrimmages but chose not to try. I hope we wip them by 40, but I doubt that will happen.

Vidor takes this one by 2 TD's. Defense is the difference.

I remember watching that play. He had to have had a 10 or 15 yard lead on the next closest guy when he reached the endzone. I need to go watch that play again....

I'll take 1/2 of either of them. Both are darn fine backs and tough kids. Not tryong to be a politician here, but that's like asking if I pick the cookies out of the cookies and cream. I would like to see Dugat get more runs than he does. I am not sure why he does not??????????

It's hard to argue any of those picks. Those are all good teams and until BH beats Galena Park (hoping they do) you can't put BH ahead of them as long as they are both undefeated. The top 6 are darn tough teams.

I would like to nominate the following: Blake Patton Sr. Barbers Hill First Year to ever play Quarterback 4-Game Stats: 644 yards passing 219 yards rushing 50 of 78 completions 6 Td's passing 4 Td's rushing AND ONLY 1 interception Not shabby!

If I recall correctly............Dayton is "West of the Trinity". Right along with the BH Eagles.

This is a hard question to answer because there are many overrated teams in SETX. Here are a few. I had high hopes for Bridge City and nope they won't make it. I heard a lot of hype for Silsbee and they obviously arn't the eye popping team I heard about. I saw Nederland play and I thought they were pretty darn good, but then they flop against Vidor. Ozen was goingt o be the team to beat, but then what....man.... Newton does not seem to be dominant this year. Kirbyville did not exactly blow out a really bad Jasper team. Without a doubt, last but not....well maybe they are least....would be PNG. They must be the most overrated team. I think WOS and BH are the only undefeated teams so far, right?

I agree, the are seems to be down. 4A and 3A are really down. I think the only undefeated teams are WOS and BH. Of those two I think WOS is the only team to go pat 2 deep in the playoffs. If they match up with Giddings or Cuero that's as far as they go. If BH draws Dayton or Nederland in the first round, that might be as far as they go.

I am going with BH on this one. Crosby is a team who is likely to make the playoffs in this district and who can score points quickly. I think BH's defense will be the difference in this game. One thing is for sure, the Crosby coaching staff has done a little smack talking following last years scrimmage. Their coach told the Baytown Sun "we would have beating BH if it was a real game". Here is your chance......

No shock here. Jasper is way down and Kirbyville doe not get much credit for how good they are.
