Woodville wins this one 59-54. Playoff type atmosphere there at the end. Woodville was up 30-20 at the break. Woodville was outscored 14-8 in the 3rd making it 38-34 going into the final quarter. SA got two quick buckets to tie it up and they traded baskets to the end of the game. With about 30 seconds or so left, the game was tied at 50 and Woodville guard Darren Sells got an and one call. Then a player from SA got a tech. Sells was clutch and knocked down all three free throws and then Woodville got another bucket and made it 57-50. Then with 11 seconds to go, a player from Woodville got a tech after foul called on Woodville. SA was in the double bonus already and #10 was very clutch and knocked down all four free throws. SA had a chance to tie it up but Woodville's Darren Sells was there to steal it and take in for the knockout blow scoring Woodville's last 7 of 9 in a matter of 20 seconds. My evaluation is SA has no post play. #10 is their entire offense and neither team has much depth. Very good game and it will be a showdown in SA in a few weeks. Woodville wins 66-44. Showdown in Woodville Friday night against San Augustine. We'll see what SA has. Should be a good one. Was anybody at the SA/K-ville game?

Woodville girls are down 21-20 with 4 minutes left. Lots of game left to play but Hemhill seems to have Woodville's number tonight.

Woodville won 63-49, in impressive fashion too. I honestly thought that it would be a pretty good game but Kirbyville had no press break and Woodville put it on them. They were up by 25 at one time in the 4th before it started getting kinda carried away with hard fouls toward the end and the starters came out for Woodville. Any news from Shelbyville/San Augustine?

I have to agree with you on this one lakeside. Their other two losses are to #1 slocum and a close game in diboll. We'll see if they're for real with their first match against Kirbyville friday night. But no one had woodville winning earlier in the year, now they have to prove everybody wrong.

56-28. Woodville won by 25-30. Somewhere in that area

Woodville wins 75-20. This one wasn't very pretty. Colmesneil might not win a game the rest of the year unless there are some poor teams in that district. Woodville has a big game to open up district Friday at Kirbyville.

This was not a very good game to watch. Big sandy really isn't a wonderful team besides #21 or big #34 in the middle. Coming off a good win against splendora and playing well as of late, woodville did not play like usual. Woodville also had a starter out due to injury but wasn't a big scorer anyway.  Yes it's a win, but woodville coach nor fans were too happy with the eagles performance tonight. they host zavalla friday night then go to colmesneil tuesday and then a big showdown in kirbyville to start district the following friday.

Congrats to Silsbee. They have a very good team and a promising outlook for the postseason this year. Also give Woodville some credit here. Silsbee outsized them by a huge amount and Woodville played a good game and did all they could with Silsbee's speed and size. I don't know if the final score reflects the effort of the Woodville boys. Anybody at the game have any inputs? Kountze is a very good team but give Woodville some credit. They gave Kountze a nice game and hopefully they'll mature and face each other in the post season. It was a dunk fest in the 4th quarter. Most action the woodville rims had seen in a long time. utfan, you were there, what'd you think about woodville?

It's not the girls' fault that their coach has scheduled some very weak teams. They just go out and play the game. It might be a weak schedule but they beat some very tough teams in summer league play. I see what you are saying utfan but our girls go out and give it all they have and that's why they win not because of their schedule. Don't bash our girls, just stick to refereeing.

I told you guys, 20 or more. Jasper is not that good. And Kountze is a really good team, don't get me wrong. Thanks for the broadcast AAW, I enjoyed the broadcast tonight. 

I won't even get started with anybody on this. This is early season play, and you people from Jasper aren't even worth arguing with. Just don't be scared to get back on here Wednesday after yall lose. Deal? I'm not trash talking, just letting you know how its going to be in advanced.

Woodville beat Jasper?? And Jasper did not look good at all. Im not saying Woodville is a top ten area team but should Jasper be 8 after losing to Woodville? I guess we'll find out if Woodville was for real because they go to Jasper next tuesday.

Jasper will be blown out of the water by Kountze. In the Big Sandy tournament, Jasper lost to New Waverly, which was expected, but then got beat by Woodville which was not expected at all. I believe Jasper will be beat by 20 or more in this one. They're #8 ranking is not even close to right

Congrats to the Woodville Lady Eagles for a great week. Beat down Groveton tuesday, who some thought would give us trouble. Then, swept the Big Sandy Tournament. Big Sandy even rearranged the bracket due to the weather and still got smashed in the championship game. The Lady Eagles also beat a Legget team who had absolutely no class, fans or players. Keep up the good work ladies. Love watching B.T and Miesha work. To all the EC haters, we're ready for ya! ;)

Aiden 1, I'm behind the Woodville Eagles all the way but get off of the forum. If I was setx I would ban you from this site. EC beat us. That's all there is to it. It was a classic Texas High School football game that I really enjoyed, despite the loss. You are a disgrace to our town and our team. Quit making stupid posts that embarrass our program. Sure we all had our fun with a little trash talking before the game last week but both schools knew it was out of fun, it was a part of the game, and that either team could walk away with a victory. Give EC their props and move on. They played a good game and are a heck of a team. They deserve our support for the next round. It's people like you that give our program a bad rep. I was right there arguing with EC fans but thats part of the game. I understand trash talking before the game out of fun but when a team wins, give them their props and move on.
