The superintendent may not know the area but he should have done a lot of extensive research on areas where he is about to work. Before I go visit places, I always do a lot of extensive research on them. Anyway, as a manager of the 2000 4A Division II State Finalist football team for the Mustangs, I congrats to Coach T on his retirement! We need a coach who can carry on the tradition of winning at West Orange-Stark and more importantly a coach preferable have SETX and Texas ties. Someone who knows about the sport very well as well as SETX and the State of Texas and someone who is willing to make the sacrifice to win at all costs! We could care less about race/sexual orientation/socio-economic status! We also need an athletic director who can hire coaches who can perform higher than expected in all sports (not just football)! Anyone agree?

Congrats to those who made Coaches All-District! They worked very hard to earn that honor!

Instead of NRG Stadium, it is going to be played in Arlington! Good luck to both teams!

Has anyone been aware about this? Mr. Dave Campbell who is a name for Dave Campbell's Texas Football Magazine passed away! RIP Mr. Dave Campbell! His magazines coming out during the summer are more like Christmas Day! It is one of the Bibles in Texas High School Football! Mr. Campbell is Texas High School Football!

Sorry about previous post. They will likely miss playoffs for the first time in eight years and the second time in seventeen.

There is nothing around here for many people. Plenty of opportunities in Houston (hour and 40 minute drive from where I live) which isn't far from here. Population in the area is declining for many years. I have seen people cleaning land and ready for construction on Chevron-Phillips plant (which we say it could be a finished deal) around Highway 87 in Orange most recently. It may help the area a little (but might be not a whole lot).

The last time West Brook did not make the playoffs was in 2004. That was Coach Al Rabb's final year as head coach there.

Titans will likely take care of business if they play as great as expected (fewer penalties/turnovers, etc)!

Putting names on back of jerseys cost schools a lot of money and schools cannot afford to do so. I know most student-athletes pay fees for athletics and all that though.

Since Texas and OU are leaving Big 12 for SEC, some schools like Kansas and Iowa State wanting to join Big 10 and OK State and Kansas State are bolting for like ACC or Pac-12, I read an article in Texas Monthly on a new Conference consisting of all Texas schools in FBS. It could be the new Southwest Conference. I am posting link to article and tell your thoughts on that.
