Good luck to Dayton.  I think they have a very good shot at defeating Livingston.  Key will be don't let them run away in the first half.  Keep it close and you can wear them down.
 2.
Ozen 41, Vidor 21, Final
Interesting score...stall?
 3.
Congrats Lady Eagles..
Thanks...we are playing sloppy tho against weak teams to finish out district.  Gotta tighten up quick in the playoffs.
 4.
What about Lindsey McDonald from East Chambers. She is one of the best on the team. At the begining of the year they were state ranked.
Havent seen her play basketball in a couple of years, but know she IS a great all-around athlete.  State finalist in hurdles.
 5. Great question! My guess is, technically, no.  Referees should ignore it (?)
 6.
Central 65, Livingston 40, Final
Well...I said by 15.  Central must be hitting on all cylinders now.  Congrats!
 7. Geez I just heard the same...modifying post!
 8. This thread is like a slow motion train wreck  :o
 9. Back to 7:30!  sorry bout that.
 10.
Central by 15+
ditto
 11.
Hill Guy- Vidor lost to Nederland Tusday night leaving the door wide open for the 4th spot. Vidor Plays at Lumberton, Ozen @ home, @ LCM and Central @ home. Lumberton has Vidor @ home, @ PNG, Livingston @ home and Nederland away. Need to win 3 of 4, one of those being Vidor to secure 4th. Nederland has PNG @ home, @ Livingston, @ Central and Lumberton @ home. Should be interesting. The Lady Raiders just need to take care of business Friday. Good Luck Girls!
Hey thanks for that and good luck!
 12. Good luck to Coach Stewart.  Not sure I've heard of a "part-time" AD before...how long will he do that?
 13. I know there are games to play, but looks like Livingston has a lock on 3rd and Ozen and Central still have to play to decide 1st.  What about 4th.  Does Vidor have the inside track?  The standings seem to be missing a game.

The last game I saw was against Ozen and they seemed to be playing at a higher level. Not to sure about the lack of dribbling the ball up the court by BH, but I'm just a fan and not a coach. The Dayton girls came out strong and hustled the entire game. Good luck to both teams in the playoffs!
We had more turnovers than usual for sure.  Gotta give Dayton credit for some of that, but we forced some passes.  Our press break is different than what you normally see.  Slower, passing-based, but effective.
HillGuy don't give up to much info.  ;D  You have teams, on here, you might be playing later on down the road... Lol..
you think I'm being completely honest? ....  I got a bridge to sell in Brooklyn if you're interested  ;D

 16. Well, the HISD districts are weak, but the suburb districts to north and south are stronger.  Huntsville, Friendswood, Manvel will be pretty tough. I'd put Ozen, BH, Central and Huntsville as the top teams in R3.
 17. Thanks Guys...means a lot and she will appreciate it too. And usedtobe...I sure wish that would happen too, but it gets so difficult to play multiple sports at that point...as I am sure YOU know!

Someone will have to deal with them in regionals also. Has anyone seen them play this year?
crabs sticking their heads out only be eaten by the mighty Jack Yates
hmmmm!!!!
Yates girls are way overated, they play a WEAK schedule and will bow out early as usual.  Worthing is interesting...they have Jenzel Nash who is averaging high 30s pg and recently had a 64 and 48 pt game in the same week.  But Diamond Webb from NF averages 33 and BH held her to 13 last time.  You never know.  Looks like NF may get 3rd or 4th spot in 19-4a.
 19.

WOW!!!!  Sounds like it was a good game. Ozen was up by 3 with 1:25 to play, and then down by 3 less than a minute later. Did Ozen try to spread the court and missed their free throws? Looks like Finger Roll called it, he just picked the wrong team. He said it was a toss up, but he said Ozen by 2 I said that I would go with the home team, and the game was played at Central. It's possible that they could meet again, but one of them might have to play Barbers Hill first.
This is true, it was a great game. My lady Jags showed heart and determination with the will of not to quit when down by 9 with 315 left in the game. We regrouped and turned up the defense. It was truly a team effort in this win. I would like to send a special congrats to Janise #3 (my lil sis) for going 6 for 6 from the line in the crucial minutes of the game. We have the athletes to apply great pressure when needed and that's what caused the turnovers for us late in the game. We still will have to play Livingston this Friday, which should make the playoff picture a little more clearer. Congrats to both teams on a hard fought games, and to the ones with minor injuries get well soon. Way to go Lady Jags.. P.S. From the looks of the state bracket, whoever goes in as the district runner up, will probably meet up with BH in the 3rd round...
We'll be ready my friend.  Hopefully Ozen first (we want a rematch BAD) then Central in the Region finals!
 20. Just want to thank the fan base that came out.  BH crowd outnumbered the home crowd and that means a lot to the players!  Thank you  :) Kudos to Dayton, they are a solid team and played hard.  Should give Livingston a real run for their money in bi-district. This was a special game for Evans, #11, and her Mom and Dad.  It was one year ago this week that she blew out her knee in the same gym.  Six months of grueling rehab to get back to playing form.  I don't ever say much about my daughter on here, but will take this opportunity to say I am proud of you, Shan.  Way to fight your way back.
