3.
Hey guys give the complete list so we can see if it watered down like in the golden triangle. Honorable mention also.
Don't know where to get it!...have to wait for the Houston Chronicle to post next week.  >:(
4. Don't have much to say about this except BH did not tie K-Park in district.  It was an outright win.  The fact that K-Park got two of the superlatives is just goofy.  And the offensive MVP came off a team with 3 district wins.  Weird stuff happens in selection meetings. Congrats to all the young ladies for the honors!
5. Congrats to Del Valle (and La Marque!) and good luck at the big dance.  To think we had them down by THIRTEEN in the 4thQ just makes me sick.  I'll give them their props though, they never quit!...Go represent R3 well!
6.
Come on hill   what is the score ???
Sorry Gang...my Blackberry went kaput!  Final - 47-45 BH played well for the first 28 min, leading by as much as 11 with about 5 to go, but allowed something like a 13-3 run and a last second shot to give it up.  Congrats on great season...and good luck to Del Valle, hope you make a return to the Drum! Lady Eagles coming back even better next year  ;D
7.
Its M. Bounds, and dont think that he will get a Dr. release till district starts. But I could be wrong, I hope he is good to go when he comes back. Nice article from Dave Rogers and the Sun: Team effort puts Barbers Hill girls past Willis By Dave Rogers The Baytown Sun Published February 20, 2010 NEW CANEY — Some New Caney citizens out to watch Friday’s Class 4A area round playoff game and saw Barbers Hill’s 6-foot-4 center, Kendall Shaw scoring almost at will and wrecking the opponents’ offense, were amazed to learn she is just a sophomore. But it was the opposing Willis Ladykats who made the big discovery – that the Lady Eagles are hardly a one-woman team. Guard Carli Manchaca bombed in three 3-pointers and scored 15 points in support of Shaw’s 18 markers and the Lady Eagles “little people” had a big night in the 67-55 Barbers Hill win. “One reason the lob to Kendall is so effective,” winning coach John Chancellor said, “if if you try to take away our inside game, we’ve got guards on the outside that can shoot the basketball.” Guards Jordan Cobb and Paris Carter also hit 3-pointers as the Lady Eagles jumped out to a 35-22 halftime lead and were up by as many as 22 points before the Ladykats got as close as 10 points four times in the final three minutes. Jill (Coon) and Jordan got some big rebounds for us,” Chancellor said. “And Jazz (Jasmine Carter) and Jenna (Silva) did a good job of guarding their two quickets players, and Morgan (Anderson) did a good job of ball-handling and settling us down.” Barbers Hill, now 28-5, advances to play Del Valle next week in a Region III quarterfinal game. The site, date and time of the game still had to be worked out with officials from Del Valle, which eliminated the Livingston team of former BH coach Pennee Hall. Post player Renata Marquez led Willis with 18 points. Long-range bomber Kirsten Hinds scored 17 and lightning-fast point guard Mesh Martin had 13 for the Ladykats, the District 18-4A co-champs who bowed out of the playoffs at 27-9. Martin picked up her third foul six minutes into the game and had to sit on the bench the rest of the first half. “When she got into foul trouble, that allowed us to match up better and we were able to slow them down,” Chancellor said. Barbers Hill was ahead 10-8 when Martin went to the bench and Marquez tied the game at 11-all with a hook shot-and-one with 1:32 left in the half. Emily Storm’s basket for Barbers Hill allowed the Lady Eagles to lead 13-12 after one period. In the second quarter, Chancellor’s girls outscored the Ladykats 22-10 with Silva, Manchaca and Paris Carter lobbing the ball over the Willis defenders to Shaw, who scored 10 second-quarter points. Like Martin, Paris Carter also had early foul trouble and both players ultimately fouled out. Anderson took her regular turn at point guard and then some in place of Carter. When Manchaca hit the last of her five buckets on a driving layup midway through the third quarter, Barbers Hill had upped its lead to 19 points, 46-27. Cobb followed up her own miss with 2:26 left in the third and BH led by 21 at 46-27. It was 53-35 entering the final period, but Shaw scored the first four points of the fourth to give Barbers Hill a 22-point edge at 57-35 with 6:37 remaining. After that, the Ladykats used full-court pressure to slow Barbers Hill and put together a 12-0 run to get within 57-47. But Coon went deep for a bomb to beat Willis’ inbounds pressure and converted her layup into three points after being fouled. Willis’ ploy to foul the Lady Eagles failed when BH responded by going 8 of 9 in the final period, including a pair of freebies by Jasmine Carter, who finished with 13 points. The Ladykats could never cut Barbers Hill’s lead to single digits.
12. Nope.  Out till next season. Girls played well!

18. Rematch!...good article to get things started: Willis rematch next for Lady Eagles basketball By Dave Rogers The Baytown Sun Published February 18, 2010 MONT BELVIEU — Barbers Hill’s girls will play Willis in a Class 4A area-round basketball playoff game Friday at 8 p.m. at New Caney High School, BH coach John Chancellor said Wednesday. Meanwhile, the Barbers Hill boys must wait for the outcome of a first-place District 20-4A playoff between Beaumont Ozen and Nederland to determine the Eagles’ bidistrict opponent for next week. The Ozen and Nederland boys each finished 11-3 in district and will play Friday night in Port Arthur to determine first- and second-place playoff seeding. The winner will play Barbers Hill, District 19-4A fourth-place boys finisher, in bidistrict at a site, date and time to be determined. Eagles coach Nathan Toon said he was hoping to play the game Tuesday night at Winnie. Barbers Hill’s boys finished the regular season 22-11 overall and 7-7 in 19-4A after defeating North Forest 64-57 Tuesday night. The 19-4A champion Lady Eagles improved to 27-5 on the year with a 66-37 bidistrict win over Little Cypress-Mauriceville in Winnie Monday night. Willis, 27-8, tied Huntsville for the District 18-4A girls title, then advanced with a 48-42 over Manor Tuesday night in Bryan. Before that, the Ladykats played Barbers Hill in an early-season game at the Montgomery tournament and Barbers Hill won that December game 70-61. “They’re really good,” Chancellor said. “They’ve got a good point guard and they shoot the ball extremely well. They shoot something like 35 percent on 3-pointers.” Senior Renata Marquez posted 20 points and 12 rebounds in a 55-49 win over Huntsville last week, with Kirsten Hinds hitting 3 3-pointers to finish with 15 points. Mesh Martin, the third of Willis’ five players averaging 10 points a game or better, led the Ladykats against Manor with 20 points and Marquez had 14. “They’re going to be more of a halfcourt team,” Chancellor said of Willis, “and we’ll be a fullcourt team. On of our keys will be to run the ball. It’s going to be very difficult, because they’re well coached.” Barbers Hill was led by 6-foot-4 sophomore Kendall Shaw against LC-M. She scored 24 points, blocked six shots and had five rebounds. Forward Jasmine Carter added 10 points. The Lady Eagles jumped out to a 13-2 lead in the first 3:15 of the game and were never threatened in their bidistrict game. A big reason was an aggressive Barbers Hill defense that came up with 19 steals and forced 29 turnovers in all. “I thought our guards played really well Monday night,” Chancellor said. “We were able to apply a lot of pressure.” The Lady Eagles started Paris Carter, Jenna Silva and Jordan Cobb at the guard spots and they platooned with Carli Manchaca, Jill Coon and Morgan Anderson. “They are all very aggressive,” Chancellor said. “They hustle and get after the ball real hard.” Silva led the team with five steals and she and Paris Carter each had five assists, often coming after turnovers. Chancellor said Wednesday that starting point guard Shannon Evans, the team’s No. 2 scorer during the season, will have surgery Friday for a leg injury she suffered in the team’s final regular-season game and miss the remainder of the playoffs. The coach has boosted his roster to 12 girls with the promotion of some players off the JV and noted that all 12 girls were able to get into the game in the first quarter against LC-M. “They did an excellent job of overcoming obstacles,” he said. “Losing Shannon hurt, but we had people step up and make plays.” While the Lady Eagles appeared to catch LC-M by surprise with their pressure defense at the start of Monday’s game, he expects that Willis and Barbers Hill will have few secrets Friday. “We have played each other early on and scouted each other this week, and now it’s just a matter of preparing for Friday,” Chancellor said. “You hope your kids can execute your gameplan better than Willis executes their gameplan.”
19. Saw your post trying to decide what game to go see (too late to respond), but I wish I could have seen this one.  I was very impressed with Dayton this year and glad they put up a fight to the end against a good team.  Think they had 5 sophs on varsity this year, so should be reloading next season.  Congrats to them and their seniors this year.
