Update...there was bad info on the official district standings sheet...and bad news for GCM.  The score was backwards for the NF/CEK game. CEK actually won so is officially 4th place team (no playoff with GCM).  Sorry for the bad info, but some teams do not report scores to media outlets and all had to rely on was the district spreadsheet, which had an error.  Official final standings: #1 BH #2 K-Park #3 Dayton #4 CE King

Funeral for family member out of state.  Don't think it would have mattered - stars were lined up for Dayton last night.  BH had little to play for (just a perfect district record  >:(), we got in serious foul trouble early and lost point guard to knee injury in second.  Dayton played with very high intensity and we just kept giving them the ball.  BH is banged up, so no warm up game planned. Now I understand a little better why Indy didn't go for a perfect season after clinching...unfortunate things can happen in meaningless games...but you gotta play 'em.

Some slight twists to the playoff picture (3rd-4th places).  NF upset CE King Friday, which should give Dayton sole possession of third...UNLESS CEK can upset Kingwood Park (probably not)...implications: GCM is back from the grave with a win against 0-13 Galena Park tonight and a CEK loss to K-Park.  That happens and they would be tied for 4th! Dayton has NOTHING to play for this evening, so they can just sit their starters  ;) ;D

Double dipping is not a good practice.  TD's don't forget that.  I was up front and honest with TD's to say that I was signed up somewhere else, but if it didn't make, I might call them at the last minute.  What irritated me was TD's who would put you on the list of teams in if you just called to get info on their tourney.  More than once I had to call and say "take us off your list!" (that was posted on eteamz).

Not so sure it wont be competitive tomorrow night.  Dayton has a very good defense and played one of the best teams in the area (K-Park) to a close game couple of weeks ago.  They also have something to play for - sole possesion of 3rd place.  Probably a game worth watching. No word yet on warm-up or whether we will have one.  REALLY like to get a tough warm-up game though, someone like North Shore, Dulles, Clear Lake etc.  Would like to play HJ but heard they cheat  ;D ;D ;D

Dayton and CEK should split their remaining two games, leaving their records tied.  But they split with each other during the season, so should be a playoff or coin flip for 3/4th.  Livingston and Central will just have to wait a while longer to determine their first round opponent.  GCM would need a miracle of help to get in.
