1. Montgomery tourney Barbers Hill 71 Willis.      61
 2.
Didn't see that coming!!
Actually I'm not terribly surprised.  We have not had one game yet where we were pressured defensively by a fast, athletic team.  So...we had a lot of turnovers, they hit everything they threw up, banking 20 footers etc., ha.  I'm not too dissapointed and pretty happy we got pushed.  Have to learn to adjust to good teams.  Channelview is a LOT better than I thought they were.  I predict they will finish second in their district.
 3. Too much turkey in their bellies evidently.  :)
 4. The "Citizen's Advisory Committee" will begin meeting Friday afternoon to kick off the search effort.  From what I understand, the committee is a true cross section of "stakeholders" in the community.  I do not know who all of the members are (about 8 I think), but from the names I've heard they are very diverse in views of how the program has been run over the last few years.  In other words, NOT all of the same thinking at all.  Dr. Poole was careful to select members that have a "stake" in the athletic program.  They will include parents of current and former athletes (from SEVERAL sports), alum's and non-alum's (yes, MOVE-INS, lol).   What the committee will do:  1)  Develop a job description that includes the values important to the community in an AD/HC, the desired experience  needed and finally, a desired "method of operation/style" in how the AD/HC will manage the business of BH athletics, including, but NOT LIMITED too, the football program.  2)  Continue to meet regularly throughout process to offer opinions representative of the community to Dr. Poole and other administrative managers involved in the search/selection. What the committee will NOT do:  be involved in final decision of selection.  This is clearly the administration's, including Dr. Poole's, responsibility. Will this committee help in the selection of the finest candidates possible?  I don't know, but at the very least it should guarantee the voice of the community is represented and heard.  I really applaud Dr. Poole for chartering the group and working very hard to select diverse voices of opinion.
 5. 4A Central #15 Barbers Hill #18 2A Woodville #3
 6. Who's in besides HJ and BH (and Aransas Pass)?
 7. Wow, really looking forward to this but BH got a tough draw with Willis first, then if win, The Woodlands next.  Been asking for a test, guess we got it!..good luck to Livingston and hopefully we will see you in round 3.
 8.
wow...the dayton and diboll scores are surprising to me!!
Splendora is posting some quality wins this year.  Dayton's done well too.
 9. Barbers Hill.  77 BMT West Brook 23
 10. Updated as of yesterday...In 4A, Central at 14!  BH still flyin' under the radar  ;D
 11.
Wow. Really nice guys. These girls practice hard and play hard. The coaching makes a difference. Snide comments about these girls are not called for in my opinion. They were outplayed and Barbers Hill did a great job.
No one was making snide comments...I think you misread.  Bobcat was making the (albeit sarcastic) point that this was not a surprise (it wasn't)...and I was clearly giving credit to PNG for playing hard till the end.  Sorry if it came off the wrong way.
 12.
I was being scarcastic.
I know  ;)
 13.
Shocking...  :D
Not really....could have been much worse.  I'll give it to the Lady Indians, they never gave up...played their hearts out.  But have come to expect nothing less from PN-G teams.
 14.
This is so uncalled for - somebody needs to remove the post above. This goes way past the line. First of all don't ever bash a coach, it's even worse you attack them personally. This is not what we stand for at the "Hill". You may have your personal agenda like many do in the community buy don't join them. Stay true to what "Barbers Hill" stands for.
I agree...I have seen folks get banned for a lot less
 15. Good to see the Lady Pats getting it together.  I think they will have a shot at playoffs.
 16.
That was the correct final...... HJ plays Pasadena Memorial Tomorrow....
Thats a lot better than what the Chronicle reported...74-30!  Glad they were wrong.
 17.

WO-S - 54 Kelly 42
Don't say it Hillguy!!!!
awww...its just not funny anymore  :D
 18.
Sorry, I posted the score on the Nederland Tourny thread...
No prob...got your back :) Man, I blew that prediction ...congrats to OF...who's next up?  Its killin me we dont have a tourney until Dec 3!  And we have an open date tomorrow night (couldnt find an opponent).
 19. Gonna have to go with LCM on this one...think they are gellin' getting into basketball shape.
 20. The signs are not good.  Defeated by 3A OF and Cleveland (who BH beat by 50).  I was expecting a lot more from them this year.  Maybe they will get it together, but at this point I think a 4th place finish will be the best hope.
 21.
I had not heard this. I hate to see this happen. I am realistic about BH. I see what we have to work with and I believe Price gets alot out of the talent we've had through the years. The program is respected by people all around the region because of what he stands for and allows and does not allow in his program. I know we judge people by wins and losses, that is the nature of the beast. The other things do matter as much in the long run. With all of that, I hope the best for Coach and the Eagles. I know he deserves better also.
I agree, and on serious note, I want thank Don Price for his service and dedication.  Say what you want about football, an AD oversees MUCH more than that...and he was darn successful with the athletic program at BH.  When you come to BH for a sporting event, whether its a track meet, tournament, etc..it runs like CLOCKWORK.  This is not by accident, but by hard work and leadership, and pride in the service.
 22. Had to break sooner or later  ;) Let the madness begin. I'll start it off....Come home, Dan Hooks        LOLOL
