  1. I think he is a good player, but 2nd best in Southeast Texas? For example: If he played at PNG 1. Harwood 2. Powell 3. Mire 4. McGinnes 5. Sparks Numer four right there throws 88-89. Has thrown over 90 at times.
  2. Somewhere in the rule books (maybe not high school rule books) lies a loop hole called "scorer's discretion". Example: I once watched a game where a kid made his major league debut and came into the game to start the eight with a six to zero lead. At the end of the eighth inning his team was down seven to six. He came back out in the top of the ninth and held them scoreless. In the bottom of the ninth his team scored two to win. In an interview after the game he was congratulated for his first big league victory. Later in the closing statements by commentators they revealed that the win was taken from him and awarded to the starter that had thrown 7 shutout innings. They said this fell under the scorer's discretion clause.
  3. I think oldcoach is right in some ways. He is trying to let Mrs. Cleaver know that she can't ask "who is the best" and then reply two posts later that Beaver is one to keep an eye on and this all the sudden makes him a prospect. I have noticed many times that it actually Beaver that is posting and telling us he is amoung the elite of the class of 09. (He would probably use the name BC67 or something like that.) The scouts that would use information from any of these websites would know exactly whose info they can count on such as MIF and jdawg along with others.
  4. Thanks for that perspective old coach. That is interesting stuff.
  5. Top 50? You might as well ask for the names of all the juniors starting in Southeast Texas.
  6. I read alot of message boards and rarley respond. I notice most guys (dads) write with a bias. MIF04 in my opinion is the best reporter of the truth that I have ever seen on any athletic message board. Keep up the good work. And stay with your positive ways.
  7. You guys are correct that LCM will graduate 12 seniors. I remember in 1997 when Hale and his 11 classmates graduated everyone saying the Bears were done for a couple of years. In 1998 Big Ned played them in the region III finals. I remember in 1999 LCM graduated 12 more seniors. In 2000, with an entirely new line up, they played the NDN's in the region III finals. You should never count out the schools like the LCM's, the PNG's, and the Nederlands. They will always find a way to put good team on the field.
  8. STAT for BC fan. LCM has won 19 of the last 20 meetings spanning the last ten seasons. Congratulations on your big win last year and good luck with the 2006 season. All of southeast Texas is pulling for someone from this area to bring home a title this year.
