Republicans try to have those conversations on a regular basis, democrats do not. To democrats, those folks that remain on the public dole represent votes and a means to keep them in power, plain and simple. Crumbs for votes, sad. Thankfully, Trump is attempting to pass this responsibility to the states, all while democrats are kicking and screaming against it.

Pretty amazing the progress, hopefully future presidents are taking note. Future Republican presidents at least, democrats can’t wait to undo anything advantageous for the US.
