  1. [Hidden Content] 🤦‍♂️ From the article: NBC News suggested Tuesday that kids should double mask as students return to school after winter vacation and the country grapples with the rise of the omicron coronavirus variant. "I actually just sent my kids out the door, minutes ago, with two masks," NBC investigative and consumer correspondent Vicky Nguyen said on "Today." NBC News correspondent Vicky Nguyen demonstrates how to layer a surgical mask underneath a cloth mask for children. (NBC's Today ) Nguyen said KN95 or N95 masks are preferred but it’s "really hard to find them in small kid sizes" so having children wear two masks was the next-best solution. "The second-best option is to make sure you have a kid-sized surgical mask," Nguyen said as she held up a child-sized mask. "You really want to make sure you have one that fits your child's face, and you want to layer the cloth mask over that mask." Nguyen demonstrated layering the cloth mask over a surgical mask to ensure viewers got the message. "The surgical mask goes on first and then the cloth mask," she said. Whether or not kids should be required to wear masks has been a polarizing topic thorough the COVID-19 pandemic. In July, a research letter published in JAMA Network by scientists from Poland, Germany and Austria stemmed from an analysis involving 45 children, who were 10 years old on average, with ages ranging from 6-17, found evidence of unacceptable carbon dioxide levels reached after three minutes of wearing. As a result, the researchers argued that kids shouldn’t be forced to wear a mask. Other researchers have argued kids should not wear face masks regardless of vaccination status due to a low risk of COVID-19 infection. An opinion piece published in the Washington Post, by Dr. Tracy Beth Høeg, epidemiologist and an associate researcher at the University of California at Davis, among others, cited exceedingly rare risks of poor outcomes like hospitalization and death following infection in kids.
  2. This clown seems to think the market is the only measuring stick for an administration’s success. Absolutely clueless.

  6. [Hidden Content] From the article: Facebook has "permanently disabled" the ads account of a conservative children's book publisher, claiming that Heroes of Liberty – which has published books about Supreme Court Justice Amy Coney Barrett, former President Ronald Reagan and author Thomas Sowell – violated the company's rules against "Low Quality or Disruptive Content." Facebook originally locked the ads account on Dec. 23, and after Heroes of Liberty appealed the ruling, the company permanently disabled the account.

  10. Yes he is...this is what he said then. [Hidden Content] From the article: Biden lambasted the president for continually downplaying the pandemic, even as it continues to spread throughout the country. “The president (Trump) keeps telling us the virus is going to disappear,” he said. “He keeps waiting for a miracle. I have news for him: No miracle is coming.” Biden said he would immediately move to implement a sweeping pandemic-response plan that he argued the White House still lacks, more than six months after Covid-19 reached U.S. soil. “After all this time, the president still does not have a plan,” Biden said. “Well, I do. If I’m your president, on Day 1, we’ll implement the national strategy I’ve been laying out since March.” This is what he says now. [Hidden Content] From the article: On the Monday call, Biden said that a "federal response" is not the key to combating the COVID-19 pandemic, which he said requires resolution at the "state level."

  18. [Hidden Content] Hey, PAMFAM, read and learn. From the article: Dallas Mayor Eric Johnson rejects defunding police, says 'a budget that reflects public safety' must be city's top priority. While other major cities across the U.S. have been experiencing record spikes in violent crime, Dallas, Texas, had seen an about 8.5% reduction by the end of last month. Dallas Mayor Eric Johnson, a Democrat, told Fox News Digital he attributed that success to three things – a strong police chief, having "a budget that reflects public safety being your city's top priority," and ensuring there’s "community buy-in" for crime reduction. The city budget included funding to "improve officer morale" by paying officers market-rate salaries to ensure they’re not getting paid less than officers in surrounding communities and restoring the police overtime budget that was slashed from the previous budget.
