What the election could mean for your taxes
LumRaiderFan replied to LumRaiderFan's topic in Political Forum
Here's the deal, if this exact plan was a DeSantis plan vs a Harris plan, you would be all in...and you know it. Cutting taxes and cutting spending is our only way out, to punish the makers and continue to reward the takers is not sustainable. -
How did he crap on them?
-
Trump has made this closer than anyone thought, and he's never changed from saying crazy stuff. If he loses, which he might, this won't have anything to do with it. And yes, it is insulting that you assume a group of folks would put a joke over what's best for the country. If that's what it's come to, we're done anyway.

No one's turning on anyone, it's called debating a point you disagree on. But nice try stirring the pot with your junior high tactic.

Cutting taxes and allowing the American people and businesses to keep more money is the right thing to do. The problem is getting someone in Congress that will actually try to cut spending, won't happen until it gets so bad it will have to happen. Giving the federal government more money is never the right answer. -
Little insulting that you would assume those voters would be more swayed by a joke than the actions of this administration, don't you think?
-
No, the bill is an example of the democrats willingness to go along with infanticide, women's health has nothing to do with it. No context needed, simply read the bill, and notice the democrat's reaction.

Funny that I never see you comment about anything that Harris does that might jeopardize those margins, it's always the dumb things Trump does.
-
The folks that would allow a joke to cause them to ignore the border mess, inflation, announcing that we (democrats) plan to raise the corporate tax rate to 28% and the fact that Harris can't think of one thing she would change from what they are doing now aren't voting for Trump, those are folks that would be voting on pure emotion while completely ignoring policy, those aren't Trump voters. It will make zero difference, it's just another gotcha moment to give the liberals hope that this is the one that will take him down.

[Hidden Content] Nothing to see here, folks, let's focus on a joke told at a Trump rally. From the article: An official within the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) told colleagues that Vice President Kamala Harris’ decision to name Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz as her running mate "feeds into" activities the People’s Republic of China (PRC) were conducting "with him and local government," warning that Beijing could "target" him to exert influence on U.S. policy. House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer, R-Ky., launched an investigation in August into Walz’s alleged "longstanding" ties to the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). Last month, Comer subpoenaed DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas for records relating to those alleged connections after a whistleblower notified the committee of the existence of a non-classified Microsoft Teams group chat among DHS employees, as well as additional intelligence reports that allegedly contained information regarding Walz’s alleged connections to the CCP.

It will have ZERO effect, this silly joke isn't swaying folks one way or the other. The pure stupidity is continuing to allow Harris to speak in public, now that's stupid.

Can you deflect this away? [Hidden Content]

Are you making yourself feel better with that explanation? By the way, the current Republican party has the top 5 rated fiscal governors while the bottom 5 is guess who, your party. This is what should drive voting, not pretend morality when you’re loyal to a party that has no regard for the unborn and boos God at their party convention, but let’s worry about a bad joke from an idiot comedian.
-
Just pointing out your hypocrisy, you vote for folks that push infanticide and want to preach to me, that’s sad.
-
A democrat preaching immorality, that’s funny.
-
Never said I was cool with it. I said it won't hurt him. It was a joke, and most folks realize that, at least the ones not looking for a reason to get their feelings hurt. The alternative is to vote for a woman that is incapable of running this country, a joke won't make folks run to that option. He's the much better option of the two, it's true whether you're cool with it or not.
-
Not very smart to have a loose cannon like him speak at an event like this. It would be like having Chappelle speak and hoping he doesn't say something crazy. The Trump campaign has come out and condemned the remarks, not gonna hurt him at all. Maybe not have wild comics speak at a rally again, lol.

You support a party that refuses to protect women.

Keep trying, I don’t think you’ll get there, but keep trying. -
Low information voters, smh.

[Hidden Content] Democrats never want you to know the truth, and sadly, many of their voters don't bother to find it. From the article: At a rally for the Harris-Walz ticket, Obama acknowledged that "immigration is a real issue at our borders." But he pushed back on criticism of Harris for neglecting to address rampant illegal immigration in her four years as vice president and claimed that Trump's promise to start "the largest mass deportation in the history of our country" isn't a real plan. "Wasn't Donald Trump president for four years?" Obama said. "Wasn't he in charge before you? If rounding up and deporting millions of desperate people, many of them who are women and children, if that's the answer to everything, why is it that the number of undocumented immigrants basically stayed the same when he left office?" "When [Trump] took office, he did not solve the problem," he added. The Trump campaign did not immediately respond to a request for comment. Obama's claim that the number of illegal immigrants "basically stayed the same" when Trump left office is not true. During Trump's first term, the highest number of illegal border crossings occurred in 2019, when 851,508 people were apprehended or found inadmissible at the southern border, according to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. That number dropped to 400,651 in 2020, when Trump invoked authority under Title 42 to expedite deportations because of public health concerns amid the COVID-19 pandemic. When President Biden took office in 2021, he immediately set about reversing Trump's immigration policies. On his first day, his administration paused most ICE arrests and deportations from the interior U.S. – a move that was blocked by a federal judge following a lawsuit from Texas. Later, the Biden administration rolled out new guidelines to ICE in 2021, prioritizing national security threats, violent criminals and recent border crossers for deportation. Biden also halted construction of Trump's border wall and ended his "Remain in Mexico" policy, which required asylum seekers to wait outside the country for their claims to be processed. Following these actions, illegal border crossings soared to 1.6 million in fiscal year 2021. They hit a record high of 2.2 million the next year, before falling slightly to just over 2 million in FY 2023.
